On the way to the zone of the Borolin family. I mostly sat by myself. I was lost in thought wondering why my mother would want to meet me. I had thought she was dead. Why did she want to meet me? Why did she wait so long? Is it because of what I did?
" Are you okay Rev?" Kendra asks. I see her standing in my doorway.
" Yes I am okay." I say to her.
" What are you thinking about so hard? I've been standing here for a minute but you didn't notice me." Kendra says.
" I was just wondering about my mom that's all." I say.
" Well Erik says he needs to talk to you more about her." Kendra says. I start walking toward his part of the ship.
"Good you're finally here Rev." Erik says.
" What did you want to say about my mom?" I ask.
" Well first your mother is one of the branch leaders in the Borolin family. So approach with caution."
" What do you mean a branch leader?" I ask.
" All the head family's have branch's your mother is the leader of branch 4." Erik says.
" So she's powerful." I say.
" She's more than powerful. Her being a branch head means she's very close to the family leader. Only person ahead of her is the vice leader." Erik says.
" So what do you want me to be cautious for?" I ask.
" I have no idea how she got the power to become branch leader. Nor do I know what type of person she is so be careful." Erik says.
" Is that concern you are showing?" I ask.
" No I just don't need you going on another rampage." Erik says
" Also why haven't I felt any mana from you?" Erik asks.
" My mana was taken from me. I have to relearn everything from the start." I say.
" So it's a mental punishment you've put on yourself because of your actions." Erik says.
" I didn't put it on myself but it is something so deserve." I say.
" You were pure mana and your body had fully healed. You have blood from two different families you can definitely use mana. You are even loved by it. The reason why you can't use it is because of your current mentality." Erik says.
" Anything else you have to tell me?" I ask.
" No you can go now." Erik says. I leave talking to him annoys me. I reach my room and research the Borolin family. I have no idea what I'll say to my mother. I don't even know if I want to talk to her. I'm sure she has some type of agenda. She's dangerous very dangerous. I have to be smart when I approach her. Like how NoTe would be.
This would be the perfect time for NoTe to be here. I still need him as I always have but he's gone. I still have no idea how to bring him back. Or even if I could bring him back. A couple hours later we land in the Borolin landing zone.
The landing zone we are in is for Branch 4 but the entire branch area itself is huge. The environment though is what gave me the most surprise. it's like a huge jungle. The different branches must represent different areas. So if branch 4 represents a jungle and all its animal inhabitants. There must be a ocean and sky and then the other branch is most likely other animals that don't reside in the jungle. I can see snakes, lions, and even tigers. There is a huge snake wrapped around the whole floating island we are on. It seems pretty strong like if it wanted to destroy a planet it could.
We get escorted to what seems to be the main building of the branch island. Inside the building are a lot of different people but they all seem to be strong. They must be security. We all get taken into a huge room. At the end of the room there is a throne with a woman sitting on it. She has long grey hair with wrinkles. She looks old but I can sense a different type of strength from her. Even though i'm still incapable of feeling any mana. I can feel a sense of dominance coming from her side of the room.
" Do you know who I am?" The lady says.
" I'm pretty sure your my mother but I could be wrong." I say.
" You are correct. I am your mother and the leader of the 4th branch of the Borolin family. My name is Minerva Borolin." My mother says.
" It is nice to meet you but what have you called me here for?" I ask.
" A mother can't meet her son?" She asks.
"No but you were never in my life beforehand what's the difference now?" I say. Spears get pointed at me and the guards say. " Watch how you speak to our branch leader!"
" Put your spears down and watch how you speak to my son. He is royalty same as me so treat him as you would me." My mom says. They put their spears down and she continues speaking.
"As I was saying before they had disrespected you. I just wanted to meet my son and give you an offer to be a captain in my branch." She says.
" What do you mean a captain?" I ask.
" Oh let me explain. You see in all royal families there is a ranking system. In terms of strength it goes from Civilian-Soldier-Captain-Commander-Branch leader- Vice leader- leader." She says.
" Why would I be a captain and not a commander?" I ask.
" That's a lot of confidence you have in yourself. However the captain stage is a requirement for the higher stages." She says.
" So I can just become a captain with no prior experience as long as I have strength?" I ask.
" Yes of course. This is an animal kingdom survival of the fittest. The strong are on top we don't believe in weakness here." My mother says.
