Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

*** NoTe

" That sounds easy enough." I say.

" NoTe I can see you have a lot of confidence in yourself. Just because you are a weapon doesn't mean your immortal. Even I can't find my daughter." Hephaestus says.

" If even a god like you can't find your daughter then that means. It is a barrier technique built for blocking gods. So if it is that strong against you then it's weak against everything else."

***Hephaestus

Ha this kid is smarter than I thought. I didn't even think of that. When a barrier technique is made it has to block something specific to be strong. Which means it's solely focused on blocking me out.

" Ok kid if you can find my daughter i'll create a weapon suited towards you." I say.

After Hephaestus says that I immediately go into the shadows. The shadows are my best bet at finding his daughter.

I leave a hand in the real world though since I need to test something. I stay in there for 5 minutes then jump back out. Only 5 minutes have passed in the real world.

If I keep a part of me in the real world the time in the shadow world will sync up with it. " Why is there a time difference between the real world and shadow world?" I ask.

The 4 horsemen appear " There isn't a time difference time doesn't run in the shadow world. It is purely based off your thoughts. You wanted to get to England quickly so we brought you there quickly."

That makes sense they say they only exist because of me. So the whole world runs on me.

I need to know more though. " Why do you guys call yourself the Forgotten?" I ask.

" Because we are the forgotten. You can only become a shadow when absolutely no one remembers you. That includes gods, the dead, and the living."

If that's the case then the shadows should keep increasing.

" How should I use the shadows to find the daughter?" I ask.

The 4 horsemen stay quiet for a moment then say. " We are strongest during the dark since we don't have real bodies we can only leave your shadow during night we can search for her. Also you can move throughout any shadow you would like. Since darkness is you and you are darkness."

Knowing this is highly beneficial. No one will have any information on my shadows. I just need to find real bodies for the 4 horseman.

I leave the shadows and go back to training. I need to find ways to refine my mana. Mana moves through your pressure point channels all the way to the tips of your fingers. If those channels are blocked you can't emit mana. So I could hit someone's aura with mine to block there's. However, all channels go forwards.

So essentially I could reverse them. Reversing an aura and making them move towards each other. Would it explode? I should find someone to go test it on.

It's nighttime. I let the shadows loose. When they have no forms they look like black ghosts. They can't keep a form so they just keep moving around like a liquid.

While i'm waiting I keep refining my aura. Hephaestus asked me to try to turn some iron into metal balls. He has an order from some monks.

It isn't easy trying to force a metal into a different shape. I have to use a lot of aura and be extremely precise. When Hephaestus showed me he did it like it was easy.

They are supposed to be only 5 pounds because they are used for training. He said the actual ones are usually at least 20 pounds each. I've only made 5 and it takes me an hour to make each one.

I take off the blindfold i've been wearing for the last few years. Hephaestus was right I can see. I almost forgot what colors look like. I put the blindfold back on though. It is more comfortable and I don't need my cardinal sin yet.

Rev left earlier to go sight seeing and to see if he could find information on the slums. The only Hephaestus had told us was that there is 7 areas of the slums each owned by a different person. Erik Doom owns area 4 also known as Fight night.

Finally I get information back from the shadows. They tell me they've found the barrier. I teleport to it and I was right it is meant to block out specifically Hephaestus. I send the shadows back. I wonder what they do when i'm not there?

I use my echolocation throughout the entire area. The building is pretty dirty and rundown. I sense multiple life forms a lot of people. They all seem to be young adults.

I need to be closer for a proper look. There are around 20 armed guards. I'm not here to ruin their business just get Hephaestus daughter. I teleport in the building.

I had smelt some perfume before I left and I can smell it here as well. I find her in a room alone. She has a tube in her arm I think it's drugs.

I lift my blindfold just to make sure to confirm. I use my echolocation to see through everything so I can safely remove the tubes. Thankfully she isn't dead.

I grab her and i'm about to leave but then I see the other people wake up. Other young adults men and women alike. They look as to plead for help. I'm not here for them though. So I leave them and go back to Hephaestus.

When I bring Hephaestus his daughter. I prepare for the danger by wrapping the whole area in shadows. So just in case his mana spikes the shadows will keep everything together. I lay his daughter on a bed and he rushes over.

" oh Kendra what have they done to you?" he says with tears in his eyes.

He turns around and looks at me

" Did you kill who did this to my daughter?" He says.

I shake my head no. He gets up an grabs me by my neck. I can feel the anger rushing out of him.

" Why not?" He says in a bad tone.

" Because that wasn't the mission. So I didn't kill anyone nor save the other people." I say.

He lets me go and apologizes then says.

" If you bring everyone who was apart of this here and save the rest of the people. I'll let you choose any weapon you want in here."

Now that is an offer I can't refuse. He already offered me a weapon he would make personally for me. However, getting to choose another one is even better.

Rev got back before I left so I tell him to make sure the daughter is in good health. We both learned medical knowledge from Stitch. I can't wait to get to choose my weapon.
