Terry assured Ezra and she finally turned toward her manager and left the room.
Once she was gone, Terry felt the tension bleed from his shoulder.
"Man, Ezra sure is a tough one to keep an eye on. She should just choose one of these hobbies and stick to it."
Terry's voice was full of annoyance but fondness at the same time. He seemed to find Ezra's position relatable.
"B-But we will have no substitute if senior Ezra left us. She's been a part of them forever."
Clement spoke in a fast manner. His bewildered expression betrayed his emotions of disbelief. Clement could not even imagine any of the club members leaving this club.
Olivier was the only one who had nothing to say about Ezra's choice. He had seen a lot of players come and go and he had long accepted it as the truth of his field.
"Ultimately, it's her decision and we cannot force her to change it. Anyway, Terry, I wanted to ask you something. Do we have anything planned for this weekend?"
Olivier quickly changed the topic to the one he wanted to initiate.
"This weekend? I don't think we have anything planned. Why were you asking? Do you want my help with something in-game?"
Olivier did need help with in-game events.
And not only today. Olivier needed help for the next few days.
"I want you to level up my account for the next few days. I will not be able to play much because of my circumstances, so you will have to do it for me."
Terry's eyebrows went up in surprise as soon as he heard Olivier speak. He had not expected the younger to ask him for help.
"You sure you want me to help you out? What do you need me to do?"
Terry agreed to help Olivier quite easily. He knew that the younger would not ask anything too much from Terry.
"I want you to play my account for a few days. I will be out of town because of the streamer's tournament so you will have to help me level up and collect the event rewards."
"Yeah sure, I will…. huh? Why are you in the streamer's tournament? When did this even happen?"
Terry's confused expression was worth seeing. But Olivier was not focusing on it right now.
He quickly told Terry what happened and his captain had a bitter expression on his face. Jealousy and envy colored Terry's face but he managed to force it down.
"So Aqua gave you an invite, huh? Somehow it does not surprise me. Sure, I will help you level up if you leave your account with me."
Terry's voice was weird when he assured Olivier of this. But Olivier still decided to trust his captain and leave his account behind.
"Then, I will count on you. You can message me anytime to ask about my account."
Olivier assured the elder before it was time to go home. The tussle with Ezra's manager had managed to eat away a lot of time. And by the time everything had resolved, the time to close the club was already there.
Olivier needed to head home as fast as he could. He wanted to have the papers of his participation in his hands soon.
.......
"Here, the papers I promised to get you. Now you have to help me out whenever I need your help."
Olivier looked at the signed papers as well as the card he was given by Natasha.
"The debit card has some cash for you. Mother was concerned that it would reflect poorly on the family image if you did have your own money to spend. Make sure to use it all if possible."
Natasha was truly a godsend to Olivier right now. He did not know how much money was in this card, but Olivier intended to use it to get better gaming equipment.
At least more RAM and a decent graphics card would be needed. The processor, unfortunately, would have to wait for now.
"Hey, Dad also wanted to meet an adult who would take charge of you during this trip. Do you think you can get someone to talk to him? It will elevate some of his worries."
Olivier frowned at the notion. He knew why his 'uncle' wanted to talk with a responsible adult.
It was to ensure that Olivier did not run away as he had in his previous life. But Olivier's life so far was comfortable.
"Yeah sure, I will get someone to talk with him as tonight. Is that all?"
Olivier asked Natasha. He could see that there was more Natasha wanted to say to him. But his sharp words caused her to back down.
"That is all. Remember your promise and have a good time."
Olivier clutched the papers in front of him and then decided to scan them and send them to Aqua's manager. The sooner he was done with this part, the sooner he could start on the real tough part.
[Aqua's manager: Received. I will give your uncle a call and explain to him what is happening. There is no need for you to be worried.]
[Aqua: I heard from my manager that you signed the forms. I will send you the account info of the character you will be playing. I am sorry but all the accounts are pre-selected. Even the supports are fixed and we cannot change them.]
Olivier was not sad about not being able to play his account. He had expected something like this to happen anyway. And that was why he had handed his account over to Terry beforehand.
[Controller: Not a problem. Send me the account info and I will log in now.]
Olivier looked at the information he had been given and quickly logged on to the screen. It was a shooter's account with no skill points allocated to anything.
[Aqua: Do you have time right now? The rest of our team will be here tonight. You can meet them and get to know them before the match.]
Olivier did have time today. He did not need to play on his main account since someone else was leveling it up.
So, he could easily focus on getting to know his current team.
[Controller: I do have time. I will switch to the in-game chat. Do you want me to open my mic?]
[Aqua: It will be preferable. But I will also send you a group link so that you can talk easier.]
Olivier quickly joined the group. There were three more members in the group, so that made the total number of members 5.
It was the appropriate amount of people needed to form a team.
"Hello, can you all hear me? My name is Ella and I will be the team's tank Crimson Mist. it's nice to meet you."
The voice was nice and feminine. It sounded just a little too sweet to be real. And Olivier instantly knew that this was a mask this female wore for her viewers.
Not that it bothered Olivier as long as it did not affect her gameplay.
"My name is Delon, let's get along. I am the sword master."
This time, the name was too cheerful. And the last person sounded rude and blunt.
"Name's Luna, the mage. Do not hold me back."
Somehow, Olivier knew this was not going to be a good combination of people.
