The guild hall was silent when Olivier entered it. People looked at him with curious eyes but they did not approach him or even tried to talk to him.
It seemed like the news of what happened yesterday had not spread among the guild just yet. And that ensured that Olivier still had a few hours of peace left.
/Olivier, come to the back room. I will send you an invite that will allow you to the meeting. You just need to stand still and do as you are told, alright? I am messaging you because you are in-game chat is turned off. /
Terry was the one who sent Olivier this message. As soon as Olivier read this, he realized that he had forgotten to turn on his in-game chat.
That turned out to be a huge mistake because all the notifications and messages Olivier had been ignoring before were popping up.

It was annoying and reformed Olivier's desire to turn off the notifications. If not for the fact that this in-game chat was needed to communicate between the guild, Olivier would have never turned it on.
/Terry, my inbox is annoying me. I am still getting messages from strangers after the 3-vs-3 game. I do not think communication would be possible in-game for me. /
Olivier quickly typed this on his phone as another notification shined on his screen. There was no other way to play this game but to turn them all off once more.
/Is that so? Hmm, give me a second. I will add you to the group chat on your phone. /
Olivier waited a minute before he had an invite code on his phone. He clicked the link and it directed him to a messenger app group.
{Dark Destroyer: Controller, are you there? Can you see this message?}
Olivier looked at the screen and then at the user name. Dark Destroyer was Terry's name in-game.
/Olivier, reply to me. I send you a message on the messenger group. /
Terry assured Olivier that he was not being scammed and this was the right group. So, Olivier decided to reply as well.
{Controller: Yes, I am here. What are we talking about?}
{Dark Destroyer: .... I will open the voice chat now.}
"Guys, he is here. We can start explaining the roles now."
Terry's voice was heard over the mic. Olivier was not entirely comfortable being in the group chat with strangers. But he also knew that would be necessary for winning this guild war.
"Well, most of you know what to do. Controller, you team up with Elder Aruha and Callum. Defend the crystal and do not let the other team take it over."
Once Olivier had received his instructions, he did not pay much attention to what else was going on.
Most of the guild members already knew what they needed to do so there was not much to worry about.
{Elder Aruha: Hello, nice to meet you. Please join channel 3 so that we can keep in contact.}
Olivier quickly joined the mentioned channel. There were only three people in that channel which eased Olivier's nerves.
"Hey kid, I saw your match yesterday. It was awesome and I am a fan. Now, before you get nervous, do not worry. I will not ask how you avoided all that damage since I am not interested."
Elder Aruha seemed like a chill person. Her voice was heavy with exhaustion so it was easy for Olivier to tell what kind of lifestyle she lived.
"A first-timer? But if Boss Xiao approves of you then I have no problem. Welcome to the team, kid."
Surprisingly, Callum seemed like a chill guy as well. His summoner even waved back at Olivier.
Somehow, Olivier had a feeling that these two had been selectively chosen to be his partner because of their natures of being easy-going.
'Adversary' was pulling no stops in showing favoritism toward Olivier. It was a blessing and a curse at the same time.
"Hmm, it is nice to meet you as well. I am sorry if I do not answer when you ask me something. I tend to get lost in thoughts sometimes."
Olivier made excuses beforehand so that he would be able to ignore these two if things got annoying.
"No problem. That tends to happen."
As expected, the other two did not seem to mind Olivier's habit. He had a feeling that he would be able to get along with these two.
"Alright, the guild war will start in about 10 minutes. We need to be in our place before that. It will last for about 3 hours so brace yourself."
Elder Aruha took charge of the situation. Olivier could tell that Elder Aruha had taken part in a lot of guild wars because she was confident in her positioning.
Neither Elder Aruha nor Callum noticed the footsteps following them. Olivier only noticed them because of the weird way the corner of his screen flashed.
"Hmm, before we go to our position, I think we should take care of some flies. There are quite a few followings behind us."
Olivier pointed out as he kept walking.
Both Callum and Elder Aruha were surprised by his sudden action. Then they paid attention to the screen and Elder Aruha used her skill as a paladin's skill 'Scan' to reveal the location of those hidden dangers.
"You are right. There are three rats following us. I think we should take care of them as soon as possible."
Elder Aruha's class was Paladin, a sub-class of the tank. She raised her shield and used her ability - bind and curse.
It put a 30s debuff on the enemy and caused both her defense and their opponent to fall. The skill lowered it to the lowest value of the defense on the castor's team.
It was an op skill but could only be used every 15 minutes. In an official match, it was not advisable as it left the paladin exposed to be exposed and required one of the other members of the team to run an incredibly low defense.
But in a guild war, this was an incredible skill to have.
The opponents were startled as they suddenly received a debuff. But they did not get time to gather themselves before Olivier shot at them.
Now that the opponent's defense had fallen to his stats, it was easy to make their HP fall. Olivier was also aiming at the 'weak spots' of the opponents. The summoner was also attacking the opponent and acting as a diversion at the same time.
In under 5 minutes, they had taken care of the enemies. Olivier had given the opponent no time to counter-attack.
"Wow! I did know you were good but I never realized just how good you were. Keep it up and you will become a pro one day."
Well, as happy as Olivier was with this comment, he was also annoyed by this. He did not want to become a pro 'one-day,' he needed to become a pro 'as soon as possible.'
And this guild war was just his first stepping stone.
"Get ready, the war is starting. The real danger would start from here on."'
Elder Aruha warned before the timer hit zero.
[The guild war is open now.]
