Leonardo carried Hailey in his arms as she slept soundly, her head nestled against his chest. The sweet aroma of the chocolate still lingered in the air, and he couldn't help but smile as he remembered the look of delight on her face when he gave it to her. He gently laid her down on their bed and kissed her forehead, watching as she shifted slightly but didn't wake up. He sat beside her for a moment, admiring her peaceful expression and feeling grateful to have her in his life.
After a while, he reluctantly stood up and stepped out of the room, making sure to close the door quietly behind him. He walked over to his desk and picked up his phone, dialling his assistant Peter's number. It took a few rings before Peter answered, his voice sleepy and slightly groggy. "Hello, Sir?"
Leonardo's tone was firm as he gave his instructions. "Make sure Ezra is out of business before this week runs out. I don't want to see his face or hear his name ever again"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, and then Peter responded, his voice more alert now. "Consider it done, Sir. I'll get on it right away."
"Good," Leonardo replied, his voice softening slightly. "And Peter?"
"Yeah, Sir?"
"Thank you"
Peter chuckled softly. "No problem, Sir. You know I've always got your back."
Leonardo smiled to himself as he ended the call, feeling a sense of relief knowing that Peter was on the job. He walked back into the bedroom and looked at Hailey, still sleeping peacefully. He leaned over and kissed her forehead again, whispering, "I'll always protect you, my love."
Leonardo walked out of the bedroom, leaving Hailey to continue her peaceful slumber. As he entered his study, he took a deep breath and began to focus on his work. He had a lot of tasks to accomplish that day, and he needed to stay focused.
As he sat down at his desk, he opened his laptop and began to go through his emails. Several urgent messages required his immediate attention, and he quickly responded to them.
Leonardo was about to leave his study, when he heard the door creak open. He turned around and saw Hailey walking towards him with a smile on her face.
"Hey, you," Leonardo said, grinning back at her.
"Hey," Hailey replied. "I woke up and couldn't find you. How's everything going?"
"It's going well," Leonardo said, taking her hand. "But I'm glad you're here. I missed you."
Hailey's smile grew wider as Leonardo pulled her closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her off her feet, carrying her back to their bedroom.
As they walked, Hailey couldn't help but giggle, feeling weightless in Leonardo's strong arms. He kissed her neck and she leaned into him, enjoying the warmth of his embrace.
When they got to their room, Leonardo gently laid Hailey in bed and climbed on top of her, kissing every inch of her body. She closed her eyes, feeling the pain and sadness she had been carrying disappear with each kiss.
As Leonardo continued to kiss her, she felt safe and loved. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer to her, and they stayed like that for a while, lost in the moment.
Finally, Leonardo leaned back and looked at her, his eyes full of love and tenderness. "I love you," he said, brushing a strand of hair from her face. it was the first time he told Hailey how he felt about her.
Hailey smiled up at him. "I love you too." Hailey couldn't believe that Leonardo could make her change her previous mindset of not falling in love again within few weeks of their marriage. She Loved the way Leonardo makes her feel. And she wants to spend the rest of her life appreciating him for his love and support.
They kissed again, and as they held each other close, they knew that they had everything they needed right there in that moment.
