Hailey was wandering in the street looking for shelter and a job, but each store she went to rejected her. Feeling helpless, she decided to at least find something to eat when she saw an old woman crossing the street. The old woman was on her phone and didn't notice a vehicle coming her way. "Watch out!!!" Hailey yelled, she quickly pulled the old woman from the way. They both fell aside the road then the car zoomed off.
Hailey was about to stand up when she felt a sharp pain in her ankle, she had sprained her ankle. She fell on the floor in pain, the old woman quickly called 911, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment. After treatment, the doctor advised her not to put pressure on the injured leg, she nodded and then thanked the doctor.
"Thank you very much, you saved my life", the old woman said, in appreciation. "Am happy I helped", Hailey replied. The grateful old woman held Hailey's hand and said "I don't know how to thank or appreciate you. But from the bottom of my heart, am truly grateful". "You're welcome, Ma," Hailey replied. Then the old woman's phone rang she answered "Are you here?" okay, I'm coming, she ended the call and then turned to Hailey.
"Sweetheart, where do you live? I want to drop you off and then visit you later in the day," the old woman said. Hailey replied with tears in her eyes, I don't have a home anymore, I was thrown out of my house yesterday, she said. "What happened?," The old woman asked. Hailey told her everything that happened in tears, the old woman felt bad for her and hugged her. "Sweetheart, you shouldn't blame yourself for trusting people. It's not your fault they broke your trust," the old woman said. Hailey smiled. "Enough of the self-torture", the woman added.
Hailey looked at the old woman and smiled. " I'm Mary King," the old woman introduced herself. "Hailey Xander" Hailey replied smiling. "Nice to meet your sweetheart and once again thanks for saving my life," Mary said. "You're welcome, Ma", Hailey replied!
" Since you don't have a place to stay, come stay with me, I live alone in a big mansion and won't mind having you around," Mary offered. "Oh!! My God, thank you". Hailey screamed and hugged Mary. It's okay Hailey let's go, my driver has been waiting for us. Mary then helped Hailey to the car, and they drove to Mary's mansion.
"Wow. You have a very nice place," Hailey complimented. "Thank you, Hailey, come let me show you to your room," Mary said, then helped Hailey to her new room. "Hope you like your room?" Mary asked. "I love it ", Hailey replied in tears. After she was thrown out of her house, she lost hope and decided to live on the street if nothing good ever came to her path. But having a roof over her head made her cry with joy.
