"Are we sure that the boss won't just wake up?" Interrupting the silence, Xie Xie wore a slight frown as he looked back and forth between the Spirit Pagoda and his watch. By all accounts, they would be fine without him but they were still in enemy territory.
Even if that was ignored, they were still going to the Rebellion Spirit Platform, an event that only came twice a year! This was an important chance to grow and Wulin would have to miss it! It was undeniable that Awakening Meditation was important but…
"It's only been a week since he entered his meditation so he better not." Half heartedly denying Xie Xie their temporary leader didn't even have to worry about him. Gu Yuena could sense from their bloodline connection that he was in a strange state at the moment.
His mind was off, it was obvious as he wasn't controlling his blood essence, and his blood was boiling. She wasn't sure what was happening in his mindscape but she was confident that he was fighting somebody with all his power. Luckily he still had the sense not to enter |Level 2| or above or else this situation would be even worse.
Wulin would be fine which was why she was much more focused on her task with Wu Zhangkong from the previous night. He had been incredibly accepting but ultimately revealing their heritage was a risk and she couldn't do anything to avoid it.
She trusted her teacher but revealing such a thing was no easy feat and as much as she hated it she didn't have enough power to protect herself. Not even Wulin truly did. If he entered his |Level 4| nobody could be his enemy but that was m for an extraordinary short period. There was no way he could protect them forever.
"Let's go in." Putting her worries in the back of her mind Gu Yuena led their group to the Spirit Pagoda. There was no point worrying about something that would never come to pass. For now, she would empower her peers till they surprised even Wulin.

"[Where am I?]" Murmuring softly to himself Tang San appreciated the momentary reprieve from Wulin's onslaught of strikes. They weren't overly difficult to defend against as they were only about the level of a spirit sage but they certainly were dangerous.
He had found himself in an oddly white room filled with soundproof walls and unnecessarily bright lights all around. The room was hard to look at, its color hurting even his divine eyes, but the worst part was the smell of the room. Sterile, stale, and devoid of all life. It was telltale signs of a medical center of sorts, one that was not meant to be lived in.
"Why?" A voice eerily familiar yet completely different from what he remembered echoed out from behind the Sea God. Flipping around he was greeted with familiar eyes yet they were completely different as well.
Pitch black eyes as dark as coal and as deep as the abyss stared right through him, their goal not far beyond him. Turning around he couldn't see what the origin of those eyes saw, there was nothing there. No, there was something.
A shadow taking human form, an unrecognizable mass with glowing amber eyes stood across from the boy. It was a monstrosity, one that the Sea God couldn't even begin to see through. It was no illusion it was a memory that was inherently flawed…
"Why what?" Bending down the shadowy creature gently touched the boy's wrist as they spoke, their feminine voice gentle and soothing. The boy's face was handsome, sleek, and well defined despite his age but the horrific burn mark on the side of his face was hard to ignore.
"Why are you helping me? It only harms you." The boy spoke, his empty eyes peering through his deep black hair. He couldn't understand the shadowy creatures' intentions or the emotions behind them. They were a mystery and that was not allowed.
"A child like you shouldn't be thinking like that. It's only natural to help those who need it even if it does put me in a bit of a pickle." The shadowy creature seemed to smile for a moment, their mouth suddenly recognizable.
Their lips were pale and somewhat sickly but they spread wide in unadulterated kindness. It was a gentle smile filled to the brim with love and affection, a smile so similar to Xiao Wu's smile whenever she looked at Wutong and Wulin.
Breaking through the wall it shimmered before it reformed itself, Wulin powerfully slamming his feet into the ground to arrive at his father in an instant. Tang San didn't mind fights with his family as it always made them stronger in the end but their surroundings took priority right now.
Swinging his spear in an odd way as he moved away from his son like a ghost ring after ring manifested from his spear and surrounded Wulin, trapping him in place and squeezing his tough body tightly. That would hold even a Title Douluo let alone a spirit Sage like Wulin.
"…Ok." Ending the conversation Tang San felt regret that he missed so much in so little time. It wasn't hard to guess whose memories these were so it was important to see them and yet he had missed so much!
The memory shimmered as a new one took its place, the young boy growing a few inches and his eyes only growing deeper. The burn mark that once marred his face was now completely gone and in its place, dozens of scars both large and small covered his exposed arms.
Most were merely small holes while many seemed like incisions though Tang San hardly understood their purpose. It was a horrible sight, one that was eerily similar to the fate he saw that Fourth Slayer live through in Wulin's memories.
"Grace Mirchea Luslec? What's up with that?" It was only after they spoke that Tang San realized that there was a new addition to the room. Loud, boisterous, and far from kind the second child sported a jagged scar on the side of his face.
"It's my name." Emptily replying to the boy was the newly named Grace Mirchea Luslec, the same black haired boy, with the shadowy figure nowhere to be seen. Tang San wasn't sure when the boy had been named but now he was sure of himself.
The boy in front of him was his son before he had been reincarnated.

Hey there, hope you liked the chapter.
The reveal! How shocking, I would have never guessed! But on a more serious note, this is a pretty big deal for Tang San. Had his child died or had Grace Mirchea Luslec and Tang Wulin merged at birth? As a parent, that's an important question even if he fits in the same box.
