Chapter 11 - ORDINARY VISAGE-10

"What do you mean?"

Shiloh looked at me with one raised eyebrow. I sighed after watching her behaving strangely for seconds. "Need to repeat?" I asked, "how long are you going to pretend?"

"I never pretend," he said confidently. he smiled. "I don't understand why you could ask that."

I wanted to remind him of what he said in the palace courtyard last night, but I didn't. "Well, you better go and let me sleep."

Shiloh stood up, she walked towards the exit but still watched me. "You really want to sleep?"

I clucked. My throat hurts again. "I would really appreciate it if you let me rest in peace."

Shiloh nodded. "All right, all right. Good night."

He closed the bedroom door quietly, while I went back to drinking water again. I've learned a lot of new things lately. I lay down and closed my eyes slowly. Tomorrow, I should be healthy again. I have many things to investigate.

We gathered in a stone-walled dining room with long wooden tables lined up. A yellow light flashed above our heads. The aroma of bread smeared with honey tickles the senses of smell. I walked while being led by Shiloh and Amyas on the right and left. Aqua giggled when she saw me complain, she brought some drinks to serve on the table.

"I've told you a million times to stop guiding me. I'm not paralyzed yet," I said. Shiloh shook his head. "Precisely because it hasn't."

I glared. "What do you mean, huh?!"

"We'd better not fight so early. Especially when we haven't had breakfast yet," Amyas whispered. I said nothing, until finally placed in an uncomfortable long chair. There were lots of people eating here, including Amyas' group. They have different physique and characteristics. Maybe they were other villagers, but I don't want to know. "I want melon juice."

Amyas gasped. He immediately gave me melon juice in front of him, when in fact he wanted to drink it himself. Shiloh was holding the glass of melon juice I was about to sip. "What do you want?" I glanced at him sarcastically, "don't interfere!"

"I helped so the juice wouldn't fall."

I sighed, letting the idiot do whatever he pleased. Some of the waiters again put food on the table. I immediately ate the snacks that were there.

"Abby, open your mouth."

Amyas stabbed a piece of meat and brought it to my mouth. I opened my mouth but who would have thought Shiloh pulled my body towards him. "I will feed you."

"Shiloh, be careful, Abby isn't feeling well yet," Amyas said worriedly. He probably took pity on the helpless me this time. "I couldn't hurt Abby."

"Hey, get your hands off my shirt you idiot!" I shouted. Shiloh immediately let go of my collar and smiled innocently. "You want to feed me, right?"

"It would be better if you feed yourself," I said annoyed. I took chopsticks and started pinching the food on my plate, then raised it high. I'm not sick. I shouldn't be treated like a shard like this. Irritating.

Not long after, the sound of spoons and forks clashing against plates became quiet. I looked here and there, hoping for an answer to this spontaneous oddity. Shiloh put his finger to my lips, telling me to be quiet. Amyas was still sitting quietly, beside him was Aqua who I don't know how long ago she was there. I shook off Shiloh's hand and stood up. Everyone glared at me. What is it?

"Just stay where you are."

"What?" I said, Shiloh took my hand, telling me to sit back down. I have no choice but to comply. I still feel aches and pains in my body. The silence lasted for a long time, before finally returning to being boisterous as before.

"What is it?" I said. I looked between Shiloh and Amyas, but both of them said nothing. Until finally my eyes landed on Aqua who was also watching me.

"Can you answer my question?"

Aqua also remained silent. I sighed, pounding the table with emotion. I have to know what's going on here. I should know.

-Ordinary Visage-

"How long will you be silent?"

Even after breakfast was over, Shiloh, Amyas and Aqua didn't make a sound. I have repeatedly urged them to tell me what happened in the dining room earlier. The three of them instead talked about other things as if it was not important.

I walked quickly, blocking the three. "I need answers."

Amyas raised an eyebrow. "What answer?"

I sighed. "I'm not in the mood for a play, so you better tell me what was going on in the dining room?"

Amyas and Shiloh looked this way and that, anxious that several people had noticed the commotion I was making. "Not the time. I'll tell you later."

"Don't trick me. Yesterday you also promised to tell me what Samu Village was!" I shouted. Shiloh immediately covered my mouth, then we walked as usual. I rolled my eyes and bit Shiloh's hand hard. "What's the matter? What did I miss this week, huh?!"

Aqua and Shiloh led me into the room, followed by Amyas who came while locking the door. I rebel. "Why did you lock?"

"Actually I don't know how to explain it to you," said Amyas. He sat in the front seat across from me, while Aqua and Shiloh held you. "King's power awakening failed."

"So?" I said. Amyas looked down, and stared for a long time without speaking. I waited for him to speak again, but he remained silent. "You still heard what I said earlier, right?"

Amyas sighed. "Due to the failure of the awakening, the King was angry and sacrificed several people to offer to the Sky Realm."

I gawked at that. Amyas continued. "Even the king has only had a tiny bit of power from the Sky Realm, and is determined to find the reason for his failure."

Amyas swallowed hard, trying to speak again. "The reason for the silence in the dining room just now was because the King visited us."

This is a very unreasonable and ridiculous reason.

"The second awakening will take place at the next full moon. And during that time, we are held here."

I glanced at the worried Shiloh, then turned to Aqua. The girl looked as calm as deep water. "As much as possible don't meet the King."

"Why?" I asked.

Amyas was silent for a while, he glanced at Aqua, asking for help to change the explanation. "Because we can't see him, Abby."

"Yes, but why not?" I said annoyed. "Will the King slit my throat the moment I meet him?"

"It might be so," Aqua muttered, "I warned you, Abby."

I'm not talking anymore. Even Shiloh, Amyas, and Aqua came out of my room. I reach into my pocket, still finding the ginger candy I ate yesterday. Today, I'm going to do another experiment. []
