Golem Coast, Athoya Villa.
The whole of 62 kilometers long coastal area was owned by the Athoya estate which covered around 1.2 million hectares of land in the coastal area alone. That one could say the Athoya family owned more property than the highest-ranking Duke in the continent such was the lineage of the Athoya.
Many clans were still more loyal to the family than they were to the monarchy, all the while being silent. If you wanted to start a revolution one of the back up you must acquire is Athoya, The clan had a long history of revolting against authorities and fallout from Dukes in the history than any other clan from all over the world. They were considered the most powerful since the Renaissance, in wealth and strength alike.
Granny Athoya is considered the main figure in the clan, what nobody knows is excluding her there were even more general heads all around the world who certainly hold powerful positions. And the rumor has it that the most powerful kingdom Kalthoka came from the Athoya clan but, nobody knows for sure. Even in these days most of the Royal family matters and truths are kept secret.
The black sedan came to a halt by the large gate which had a grand title 'Athoya Estate', the many security questions later the sedan was allowed inside the gate, Saya was in the driving seat, she let out a sigh as she saw a long way ahead in the navigation.
'Just like a Royal fort!' She told herself as the sedan drove silent toward the Villa, tall pin oak trees covered each side of the street, the occasional street lamb seemed to be from the early 60s from the design and their placement between the trees.
But Saya's mind was elsewhere, wandering in thoughts too hard even for her to be answered,
'So I'm going to meet Miss. May!!??'
'And just like that are we going to be living together??'
'No- Wait that's not why I'm here, but isn't it the same thing??'
'What do I do? Wait how am I going to introduce myself?'
'Um hello!'
'Wow, that was so lame!!'
'This is killing me! I should've practiced it! Why?? I'd all this time but I never imagined this day would come!!'
"Graaahhh!"
May groaned as she abruptly pushed the brake in the middle of the street, stopping into a 180 curve.
"Ahhh look at me!" She sighed as she turned the rear-view mirror.
"This isn't going well! It's all happening too fast!
She concluded,
"Wait, hold on should get drunk?"
She thought for a moment before slapping herself on the cheek,
"Damn No! That would be so rude!! Saya what the heck are you even doing??"
She then opened the door and started running toward the Villa.
"I need to calm down!"
She kept saying as she ran with all her might.
Moments later the Villa was finally visible, it stood 5 stories tall with an ancient architectural design, maybe marble or limestone.
The Villa was lit up, the huge windows were all made of glass and had flower pots on the sides. The building was in the middle of a huge flower garden, in the back was an elevated pool, and the trees decorated the arched veranda.
May stopped right before the inner gate to the Villa and started gasping, she then bend forward stretched her body, did a few jumps, and slapped her face on both cheeks before mulling over,
"Well, this is it! Even if I blew it, my life would still hold a meaning- to have met Miss Saya!
She nodded,
"Ahhh why am I shaking?"
She strolled toward the door with quiet steps, as slow as she could.
Unbeknownst to her, the person inside was being even more nervous and thrilled to finally welcome a guest who isn't her granny or sister. The waning gibbous lit the sky, being close to the ocean gave the sky so many visible stars, and the salty cold wind passed every now and then the whole atmosphere had a dreamy mood, as the clock hit 9 pm.
Saya's hesitant thoughts came to an abrupt end as her fingers planted on the doorbell without her realizing, which almost gave her a panic attack so hard that she forgot to breathe.
May was wandering around the main hall anxiously as she kept looking at the wall clock, waiting for her new helper to arrive.
'She should be here by now, shouldn't she?'
'Why is she late? Is she not coming today? Even though I made meals for two?'
'Maybe she's stuck in city traffic? Or her car probably broke down?'
'Wait, that's bad I need to help her, but I didn't ask for her number!'
She sighed,
'Should I call granny to check?'
'Or I could wait a bit longer!'
"What am I supposed to do??"
She threw herself on the sofa dejected.
With all the questions still in her head running wild, she closed her eyes and tried to think of something else, when all of a sudden the doorbell rang, in the quiet house the sound echoed alerting her whole body that she jumped from the sofa and tripped down the floor.
"Ouchh!"
She rubbed her knees looking toward the large door ahead.
"Let's do this!"
She pushed herself up and rushed to open the door, with a smile on her face, even though her knee was hurting so badly.
Stood outside the door was a familiar face, that it didn't take long for May to recognize,
"Ahh!" She gasped,
The woman stood tall, wore a black suit jacket, and phant, like security officers from Granny's place, her short brown hair was in a different style today, but there's no mistaking, May knows that sparkling jade-green eyes.
"You're that man I met-"
May paused as she realised the person standing before her was struggling to breathe.
"Take a breath, like this!"
May stepped forward and placed her hand on the person's shoulder and demonstrated how to breathe.
"Hahh!"
The girl in front sighed loud, and without blinking stared at May.
"Oh! Sorry!" May bowed her head,
"I mistakenly thought you were a guy! Sorry!"
"Oh No! It's not a big deal!" The girl bowed even lower,
"You're welcome to mistake me for anything! Really!"
"Eh?"
May rose her head.
"Ah!"
There was a long pause, as silence kept them looking at each other with so many unanswered questions, the initial shyness was slowly washing away without them realizing it. And finally, May came to her senses and bowed again before saying,
"Oh, I'm sorry please come in!"
And she showed the way to the girl who walked like a frozen monkey with heavy steps without moving her gaze from May.
"Please take a sea-"
"Hold on!" May got interrupted by the girl, as she rose her voice letting go of her gaze.
"Why are you treating me like that?"
She asked,
"I'm sure Grandma must have already informed you of my reason to be here!"
"Hmm" May could only nod as she wasn't sure what the girl meant.
"So please treat me like a servant!"
The girl bowed.
"Oh!"
May exclaimed as she realised what was going on, she stepped forward raising the girl's head.
"But, granny also told me to do whatever I like!
May smiled,
"So I'm going to make you my friend-"
She turned all red as she realised what she just blurted out in front of her guest.
".." The girl stood speechless.
"Oh, I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable,
May continued in a quiet voice,
"If you don't like being my friend it's okay too, I won't force you-
"Wai-no! That's not it-
May cut her off,
"But I can't treat you like a servant- huh? -That's not it? So you'd like to be my friend?"
"Hum?!"
"Hahah! Thank you so much!
May went close the girl,
"To tell you the truth I don't have many friends, so tell me what's your name miss?"
May blinked at the girl with excitement.
Saya's heart was pounding out of its place as May came closer and now that she was looking straight into her eyes made it even harder for Saya to breathe.
'I knew it was going to happen but, why I'm not good at this?' Saya said to herself pinching her thighs.
"I'm Saya Howl! Young miss. May."
Saya faltered.
"Saya?
May smiled,
"You have a cute name, you don't have to call me young Miss, I hate it!"
Saya's heart skipped several beats as May called out her name and she didn't follow whatever May said after that.
"I've got so much to tell you but, I must first thank you for the other day."
May smiled brightly.
"Oh No at all miss, it was-"
Saya stopped as she saw May pouting. Making her lose her footing and fall on the sofa.
"I told you I hate being called young miss! Call me May!"
She demanded.
"..."
Saya had too much sweetness for a day any more than this could potentially make her head go crazy, her heart was already acting up.
"..what are the chances for us to be meeting again like this!"
May joyously reclined on the sofa in front of her,
"It's like we are destined, don't you think?"
Saya felt a cold stream under her nose, as soon as she realised it was blood her eyes blacked out. May on the other hand shot up from her seat and rushed to help the girl, only to realize she'd fallen unconscious. She wiped the blood softly and ran to the phone, and called the security cabin.
"Please send help! An Ambulance!"
She said in a faltering voice leaving the entire security team to panic.
"Wait. Hold on. Young miss, are you alright? Please keep the line open the med team is on the way, can you hear me? Miss? Young miss??"
May was already beside the girl laying unconscious on the sofa.
"Granny!" She started tearing up.
