Chapter 22 - Third and even worse

Shan stared down at the town he had a view of. Hyun, on the other hand, had his head buried deep in the blanket and pillows, rejecting even the idea of going to the opposite room for his luggage.

Well, that was before both of them moved. Hyun, because someone was knocking on the door, Shan because he couldn't wait any longer.

"I'm sorry," Lucy said once Hyun opened his door. She stood there with his suitcase and Hyun wanted to hug her if he wouldn't freak out after that. He wasn't scared of her, but physical touch was something else.

"It's okay. I'm just sorry I disturbed him again," Hyun said, took the suitcases, and let Lucy come in.

When he was looking around the room in the light, he was even more surprised. It was more of an entire apartment. It had a shower and bathroom in different rooms, a small walk-in closet, and the biggest room was a combination of living room and bedroom. In the corner of the living room, part was a table for office work for a gaming setup.

The colors were quite cold, white and gray, but it was disturbed by some colored pieces like a blue sofa and yellow bean bag, and blue curtains and a yellow blanket over the bed. Definitely designed by someone who knew how to piece colors together.

"Shan was quite chill about it," Lucy said and sat at the bean bag. Hyun left the door to the closet open and listened to her while cleaning up his clothes, so he had something to wear today.

"Lili wants to see you. I explained you've been through something and she recommended the psychologist they have on call. It's a pity you don't understand Cantonese." Hyun frowned. He was quite confused as to why they needed a psychologist on call. But maybe it was the pressure from the matches… Who knows?

"I'm okay. I think I have half gotten over it. You should be glad I stopped drinking, or maybe I would have become an alcoholic because of it. Nothing is easier than to drown your sadness and trauma in alcohol." Lucy flashed him an are-you-making-fun-of-me gaze, and he somehow was teasing her. Yet at the same time, he told her the truth.

"Where is Shan? I want to apologize to him properly." Hyun finished cleaning up and now had fresh clothes, towels, and everything ready to start the day.

"Training downstairs. But he especially said you should let it go." She sang the last part to the tune of the Frozen movie and Hyun laughed. Lucy was unbelievable.

"And… Can I just come and watch them train?" Hyun's eyes lit up like a Christmas light when he got that idea. Lucy was quiet for a while.

"We should meet Lili first and then. She is somewhat of a boss here, so maybe you could if you made a better impression than yesterday." Hyun frowned. Will he have it on his plate for a long time? He wasn't thinking. He was tired and startled by seeing HNYG in person.

"But I have good news. The first match they are playing is Friday here in Hong Kong and Chao already agreed to take us with them, so you can see the match from VIP seats." Hyun ran to her but stopped before hugging her. Even though he was happy as hell, he still couldn't overcome his fear.

"Thank you so much. I will buy you something!" he exclaimed, and Lucy just laughed.

"It's okay. I just need to have a calm life without surprises, just like Shan had yesterday evening." She laughed and walked away. In the door, she stopped and looked at Hyun.

"Go one floor down for breakfast, two floors down, to meet Lili. Don't even try to go down to the first floor. There is security there." Hyun was stunned that she thought that about him. But he would be lying if he said he wasn't thinking about going there without permission. He just nodded and went to take a shower and change his clothes.

He got ready and went down to something he would call a corporate canteen with good food. But it was lukewarm, not so hot anymore, and something he wanted to try… well, he saw empty boxes with nametags on them only.

Hyun took the stairs down again, surprised at how big it was. He passed some rooms to a huge gym before getting to an even bigger living room. The sofa there could easily fit twenty people and still, there were bean bags and chairs scattered around. There were consoles and console games before three TVs, and the sofa had a huge ass screen in front.

"You are here." A woman's voice sounded behind him and started Hyun so much he jerked away, throwing his arm aside to defend himself. He hit something soft, but Hyun didn't know what position he was in. On the ground, rolled into a small ball.

"Shit, I'm sorry I forgot. Look.. I'm getting away from you." He heard the voice getting far away, but he was lifted by a pair of hands.

"Who do you think you are beating here?!" Hyun knew this voice. He looked up before getting a literal slap in the face. Confused, Hyun stared at Shan, holding his cheek.

"No Shan, you misunderstood. It was my fault." The woman hurried to say, Hyun now saw a small blond, who must have been Lili, with a red cheek that was coming closer to stop Shan. He took a few steps back to keep his distance.

"You got slapped, and it was your fault? He should be glad I only slapped him!" Shan yelled out. Hyun wanted to say something. He wanted to say sorry to Lili, and explain himself. But he just couldn't. He was standing there, scared, ready to flee at any given time.

Tears started rolling down his face before he even knew it, and he started shaking. What was wrong with him?
