Chereads / Demon Lord Teleported From Another World / Chapter 22 - The Confrontation

Chapter 22 - The Confrontation

"Huh?" I look over and see what type I specialize in and it says "Necronic Flames"

"Huh? What is-" My collar of my uniform gets grabbed by Rulia and she begins shaking me back and forth with a surprising amount of strength and begins yelling questions.

"Where are you from!? Where did you learn Necronic Flames?! What part of the East did you inherit your magic power from? What family or clan do you descend from? Who is your mother or Father?! Who-" She gets cut off instantly by a metal hand touching her shoulder. Specifically Argus's hand

"Please, you're supposed to be a teacher of the Academy for Magic. Not me. If anyone is going to do that it is me. Now hand him over!" shoving her out of the way.

He then grabs the collar of my uniform and begins shaking me forward and backward even harder than what Rulia did to me.

"Where did you learn that kicking stance?! Where did you get so strong to be of equivalent strength of a bias-" he gets cut off by another hand but it is smaller, clean, and elegant.

I look past him and see the woman wearing the suit who has black hair standing firmly with her left hand on her hip, and her right one Argus's shoulder.

"Ahem, right my apologies sir." he says letting go of my uniform."

"But wait what is Necronic Flame?"

Rulia shoves Argus out of the way and begins explaining to me within seconds

"It is an old technique of magic and a variant of flame and fire magic pyromancer use. Except for necrotic flames, teachings were thought to have vanished after the last master who know the art disappeared. To see you, the first in maybe over 1000 years have it is history! I must have you come to my class first thing tomorrow and I can give you a good lecture on the history of magic! I can see it already! Me, the first in generations EVER to be the mentor of a user of necrotic flames!" she begins holding both her cheeks as she fantasizes about the subject

"Isn't that a form of demonic magic that was banned, and that's why the last user of the magic died?" someone says from the crowd. I look around and see someone jump from the crowd, wearing a white uniform, blond hair, blue eyes, and way too clean skin.

He then hovers slowly down with a breeze and some kind of visual gusts of air under his legs. So I guess wind magic allows one to lift themselves up from the ground. Making them hover I guess. Noted.

He walks past Rulia and to the device and stares at the magical specialization and then the power level. He then looks right at me.

"For someone to have zero power level is an insult to this Academy, as well as an embarrassment for everyone here to be near you." Lucian remarks

"I surpassed you in the physicals..." I comment crossing both arms

"That is to be expected at some point commoners are required to be physically able in order to do their jobs efficiently for the higher class," he says while turning away acting smug.

"So you are saying royals are so weak physically that they need commoners to do it for him? Good argument there, that is not insulting to royals everywhere." I say shrugging my shoulders

But in an instant, his hand, and a strong gust of wind, is now an inch from my left eye. However I as well with quick reflexes grab his shirt uniform ready to slam him down if needed.

A sudden silence covers the area quickly as two of the best contenders in the exams at the moment are already at one another's throats.

"You dare insult royalty?" he says coldly hand near my eyes

"I dare a lot of things. But for one thing, all you've done is show how true and short-tempered you are. Threatening a common, trying to intimidate me. Quite pathetic. Is your pride too delicate? So I suggest you remove your hand from ym personal bubble before you find your head suddenly under the ground..."

A dark silence fills the arena as an I feel a sudden urge of adrenaline, likely Adernal, and something in my hand begins to feel warm and almost twitchy.

I glance down and see some kind of dark aura emanating from my right hand on his uniform.

"Alright, alright that was a fun show of power from both students but please, if you both want to do something like that, do it at another time... Especially since both of you are basically inexperienced with wielding your magic so it would look sloppy as a first fight." the suited woman says pushing both of us away from one another."

"However, I will say kid that the fact you have zero magical power is concerning. So I will take appropriate measures in order to deal with that. Now! Everyone! Please it is time for lunch! So get out of here!" she yells at everyone. The students all stand and bow forward and make their way up the steps slowly walking over other steps, or seats.

"Tch..." the blond hair guy scowls at me and turns walks away and with another gust of wind, blasts off dozens of feet above the air to the top of the steps and is already out.

"Also kid, be warned. This is the Academy, a confrontation between commoners and royals. However, royals often have the tendency to go either too far or be the instigators. With you being zero magical power, and the fact you've had your first confrontation with one of the strongest students so far, I would hate for you to leave injured, or even suddenly have to leave the Academy. Especially since necrotic flames are indeed one of the rarest specializations known. But is also a very destructive one."

"Note ma'am, and thank you for your help dispelling the hostile situation," I say bowing forward

"Of course kid, besides I don't want to do more paperwork because a Royal got their head shoved into the ground hehe," she says patting me on the back and walking off.

I stand there, being the last student leaving the arena, and look at the orb with the words "necrotic flame" on the device.

[I think I have no doubts about it now. We are not on Earth]

"Really you don't say?!"

*Meanwhile somewhere else*

Arthur is standing watching from the observatory with his left hand holding on his right elbow. His right-hand rubs his chin as he thinks of what he just saw.

"So, Arthur, that's who you came to see isn't it?" Charles comments.

"Whatever do you mean?" says brushing off the question

"Uhuh...Sure."

"But I will say. The fact he has zero magical power does confuse me. The only way that works, is if he had never used his magic once ever." most children have a high chance of accidentally using a small amount of magic which raises the power they have at the moment. So if it is zero, it means he had never used it once, and that means this means I don-*Ahem* We don't know what his capabilities are as of now. But that makes me very fascinated..."

"Hmm, well we have to also be careful. Necrotic flames are a dangerous form of magic for a reason."

"I know, which is why this has so much potential. If he never used it once, what are the chances he could be corrupted."

*Daniel's POV 2 hours later*

"AAAHHHH" I lean fulling back while walking stretching my back and yawning

I walk around the campus exploring and my legs are slightly tired, but I am not actually very much exhausted. Just kind of bored.

But I have noticed a lot of people looking in my direction very often. And it isn't subtle at all. People glance at me, and then after a quick glance would look at me for over 10 seconds at times.

[I can list down some ideas as to why...

Number 1- You look ugly. You have growth scars on your face and a missing eye with a scar over it

Number 2- You look dumb. You just look like that nothing else

Number 3- You are Asian, which they seem to be comparing to Easterlings. So likely Easterlings are this world's equivalent.

Number 4- Rumors about a new student with a missing eye who can use a form of magic that has not been seen in over one thousand years is on the campus.

I am leaning personally in the first one on the list.]

I think ladder two is more probable than the two formers.

As I am thinking I hear some clacking of noises getting progressively getting louder and louder and when I turn behind me, see a man wearing a grey uniform with a satchel on his side. Seems to be a centaur. He has brown hair, and lighter skin, while his hooves look brown.

I turn around and move out of the way, but the centaur stops and begins reaching into his satchel hearing the rustling of papers. Delivery man? I guess in a world before cars, having people on horses deliver news and letters was common. Who better than those who literally have full control of their bodies, and cross distances like an Equidae.

"For a one-eyed Easterling boy with facial scars height of 5'11 male?" he asks

"Uh, yeah...Daniel"

"Here you go. I have to deliver another few hundred more!" he says galloping away.

He is either enthusiastic or in a rush.

[Could be he doesn't like your face]

Or he senses your idiocy in my head through the Ademine skull I have.

I rip the letter open and read the contents within...

"Dear Daniel,

Your first class is in the Western building. We've got confirmation saying you are a new student, but you are not familiar with our schedule. The class had started roughly an hour ago, but we had only just found out you had applied and are a student in my class. Please come over soon as possible. Would hate to think you would be left behind in your education.

Signed, Hersha"

"Hm...Hersha...that sounds way too familiar...

[I believe you read a book a while back that had a character named Hersha. She is a doctor in the book. But the name of the book was irrelevant so I deleted it from my archives.]

*Sigh* Of course you did.

*20 minutes later*

I finally arrive at the western part of the campus and it is designed differently. It has a lot of white paint but has almost a dignified smooth architecture.

Students are walking in and out of the building so I am guessing classes vary from teacher to teacher for when they teach.

I walk inside and it is how I expect. I see the interior with many chairs, tables, and other furniture that are white and black. With students reading and conversing with one another.

Almost reminds me of a college a bit.

*CRACK*

I pop my knuckles with determination for my first class. I have not been excited about a class since before I got diagnosed with KDD.
