The arena is a massive structure that dominates the landscape, rising from the earth like a giant colossus. Made of gleaming white marble, the building is a testament to human ingenuity and engineering prowess. The walls are adorned with intricate carvings depicting epic battles, mythical creatures, and legendary heroes, each one a masterpiece of artistry and craftsmanship.
As they approach the arena, they can feel the energy pulsing through the air, the sound of thousands of excited spectators echoing across the landscape, "Man..." Gasps Ash, his eyes scrolling all over the watchers, "I didn't think that we'll be fighting around such a crowd!"
The entrance is a grand archway, supported by towering columns carved with images of gods and goddesses. Inside, the arena is a sight to behold. The seats are arranged in a steeply angled semicircle around the fighting area, providing an unobstructed view of the action.
The fighting area itself is a large circular space, about 150 meters in diameter, with a raised platform in the center. The platform is made of smooth, polished stone, awaiting the fighters to write a historical battle on it.
The arena is alive with excitement and energy, the air thick with the smell of sweat, blood, and adrenaline. As the fighters enter the arena, the crowd erupts into cheers and applause, their voices echoing off the marble walls. This is a place where heroes are made, legends are born, and the glory of victory is within reach.
The anticipation for the tournament is palpable, as each participant had trained tirelessly to prepare themselves for the upcoming challenge. With bated breath and hearts full of determination, they wait patiently for the moment to arrive, their minds focused and their bodies honed to perfection. The air is thick with excitement, and the energy in the room is electric as they eagerly await the chance to prove themselves on the grandest stage of them all. Each one of them knows that they have given their all in their preparations, and the thrill of the competition ahead fills them with a sense of exhilaration that they could barely contain. This is their moment to shine, and they are ready to give it everything they had.
Despite the collective eagerness in the room, a subtle undercurrent of tension can be felt as the tournament approaches. The tension is etched on the faces of many, evident in the way they fidget restlessly in their seats, nervously biting their nails or tapping their feet. However, amid the general sense of anxiety, two figures stand out... Nobu and Sayuri are engaged in a heated argument over a chocolate bar, their voices rising as they both lay claim to it.
"I said give it to me!" stammers Nobu, desperation creeping into his voice as he tries to wrestle the chocolate from Sayuri's grasp. "It's mine! My chocolate!"
Sayuri's expression hardens as she clutches the chocolate bar tighter to her chest. "No," she adds firmly, her pouting lips jutting out defiantly. "I bought it with my own money! Give it to me!"
The tension in the room seems to dissipate for a moment as all eyes turn to the pair, watching the battle for the chocolate unfold. Nobu's face is flushed with frustration, while Sayuri's eyes blaze with determination. It's clear that neither of them is willing to back down.
As Nobu tries to grab the chocolate from Sayuri's hands, his grip tightens on her head and she falls to the ground, tears streaming down her face as she loses her grip on the prized chocolate. Her eyes fill with a mixture of pain and anger as she watches Nobu take a bite, his eyes turning bright orange as he savors the sweet taste.
Sayuri's expression turns to one of childlike sadness, as she puts her head down to look at the floor. "Nobu took my chocolate," she mutters, her voice barely audible as she tries to hold back her tears.
Meanwhile, Nobu's face beams with unbridled joy as he continues to savor the delicious treat. "It's really delicious," he gasps, his eyes closed as he loses himself in the flavor. The other competitors in the room can't help but look on in awe at the sheer ecstasy written all over his face.
Katsu interjects, his expression clearly showing surprise. "You know... I don't know if you're incredibly chill, or incredibly stupid!"
Sayuri and Nobu turn to their friend in unison, both curious about what he means.
"Maybe it's because they're both from Paradise." Ash chimes in, his face serious, "That's why they don't seem to care about the tournament."
"We do care!" Sayuri exclaims as she jumps to her feet. She expects Nobu to agree with her, but he surprises her with his response.
"Yeah, I don't really care," Nobu confirms, taking another bite of his chocolate. "I mean, it just looks tiring."
The rest of the newbies look on in disbelief, wondering how someone could be so indifferent to the tournament. "Lord, help us with this one," they think to themselves as they stare at Nobu, who seems unfazed by the whole thing, "Oy, Pipsqueak. Did you buy another bar? Give it to me if..."
"Cut it out!" Sayuri interrupts, hitting Nobu's arm with her small fist. He lets out a sheepish cry as he rubs the spot where she hit him.
"They get along way too well," Reina chimes in, looking a bit sad as he watches Nobu and Sayuri playfully bicker. "I get it, Nobu's going to forget about me."
Satomi rolls her eyes at her friend's comment. "Why is it bothering you so much?" she asks. "Are you his boyfriend or something?"
Reina quickly shakes his head, answering Satomi's question before she even finishes asking it. "No, I'm not gay," he says. "You already know that."
Satomi can't help but sigh and shake her head. "You're impossible," she says, placing a hand on her forehead.
Abruptly, a resounding voice echoes throughout the entire arena, causing the ground to tremble beneath the spectators' feet. "Behold!" the voice booms. "The moment you've all been waiting for! The participants of this epic showdown, Reina and Yagami, are summoned to enter the arena through the north and south gates, respectively!" The crowd erupts into a deafening roar as the anticipation reaches its climax, eagerly awaiting the clash of these two formidable opponents.
As the booming voice fades away, Reina and Yagami rise simultaneously from their seats, their eyes locked in fierce determination. "The moment we've been training for has arrived," declares Yagami with a confident smirk, turning to face his opponent. "Let's make this a battle to remember!"
Reina meets Yagami's gaze with a stoic expression, nodding in acknowledgment of the challenge ahead. "Indeed," replies Reina, a glint of determination in his eyes. "I look forward to seeing what you're capable of, Yagami." With a deep bow of respect, Reina acknowledges his opponent's skill and prepares himself for the upcoming battle.
The anticipation in the arena is palpable as the two combatants take their positions, their every movement watched with rapt attention by the roaring crowd. The air crackles with energy as the countdown begins, signaling the start of the match. This is the moment they have been waiting for – a test of their strength, skill, and resolve, "Alrighty", Mutters Reina, lightly jumping, "Guess I'll show them what I've got!"
Meanwhile, in the waiting room, the other six newbies are gathered around a large, glowing magical screen, eagerly watching the first match. They gasp and cheer along with the crowd as the action unfolds before them, marveling at the skill and strategy of the two fighters.
The magical screen displays every move and every strike with crystal clarity, allowing the newbies to observe every aspect of the battle. As the tension builds and the excitement mounts, they watch with bated breath, rooting for their fellow combatants and eagerly anticipating their own turn to step into the arena.
For these six newbies, the waiting room is a place of anticipation and nerves, as they prepare to showcase their own skills in the ultimate test of strength and agility. But for now, they watch and learn, inspired by the bravery and determination of those who have gone before them, "Good luck. Both of you!" Nobu Thinks, his eyes glowing purple as he awaits their clash.
Yagami begins to channel his energy, his body glowing with a bright, intense light as he attempts to create a shield to protect himself. However, something is amiss - In an instant, Yagami finds himself face-to-face with Reina, who stands only two feet away from him. Yagami is taken aback by the suddenness of Reina's appearance, unable to detect any movement or indication of his approach. It's as if Reina is hollowed out from magic, leaving no trace of his movements.
Yagami's eyes widen as he takes in the sight of his opponent, marveling at the immense magical energy radiating from Reina's body. He can feel the power and intensity of Reina's magic turning back, his mouth slightly open as he reads Reina's calm composed demeanor.
Yagami is not the only one taken aback by Reina's display of magical prowess. The other six participants in the waiting room, along with the audience, gasp in amazement at the man's incredible abilities.
Shinso and Kaeya, who have been closely observing the battle, exchange looks of surprise and admiration. Kaeya leans forward, his hand resting under his chin as he analyzes Reina's movements. "He became able to conceal his magic in such a short time," he muses, impressed by Reina's skill.
Shinso smiles sheepishly, humbled by Reina's power. "I didn't expect him to be this strong," he admits, his eyes still fixed on the intense battle unfolding before them.
Yagami watches in slow motion as Reina's grip on his katana, covered in white saint cloth, tightens. The sword moves with incredible speed toward Yagami's neck, and he can see the precision of the attack.
Despite his best efforts, Yagami realizes that he is no match for Reina's offensive abilities. He can feel the sweat pouring down his forehead as he helplessly watches the impending strike.
"Arcane Magic: Gentle Wave," With a swift movement, Reina's katana makes contact with Yagami's neck. At that moment, a small wave of arcane energy emanates from the point of contact, and Yagami's body goes limp. He falls forward, losing consciousness and hitting the ground face-first with a thud.
The arena falls silent as Reina stands victorious, his katana still in hand. The spectators are in awe of Reina's incredible display of skill and power, and they can feel the intensity of his magical energy even from their seats, leaving them rather thrilled.
"As you said, Yagami," interjects Reina as he dematerializes his katana, putting his hands in his pockets. "We've made this a battle to remember!"
His words hang in the air, and everyone in the arena feels the weight of his statement. This was not just a simple battle between two powerful wizards, but a demonstration of their strength and skill.
Yagami slowly regains consciousness, groaning as he tries to push himself up from the ground. His opponent looks over at him with a small smile, acknowledging the effort that Yagami had put into the fight.
The other six participants watch from the waiting room, their eyes glued to the magical screen. They are in awe of the incredible display of power that they have just witnessed while Shinso and Kaeya exchange knowing looks, impressed by the level of skill displayed by Reina.
"Conceal..." Speaks up Shinso, "Another technique you can gain through training, just like All For One and Overpower. It allows the user to completely hide his magical energy for some moments, rendering his next attacks and moves unpredictable. So Reina already added such a card to his deck..."
"And then he used his magic to manipulate the flow of Chi in Yagami's body," Explains Kaeya as he nods to Shinso's words, "With that simple contact between the Katana's grip and Yagami, Reina radiated some arcane energy and disturbed the flow of Chi in his opponent's body! Unbelievable..."
"The... the battle comes to an end!" echoes the announcer's voice as it slightly shakes in disbelief. "Reina is the winner!"
The tension in the arena is palpable as the spectators hold their breath. And then, to everyone's surprise, none of the audience members dared to break the silence left in the wake of the battle. The only sound that can be heard is the heavy breathing of the defeated Yagami as he tries to get back on his feet.
The victor of the battle stands in the center of the arena with a calm and collected expression on his face. He looks around at the crowd, taking in the stunned expressions and wide eyes of the spectators.
For a moment, it seems as though time stands still in the arena. The only movement is the gentle sway of Reina's long breaded blonde hair, rustling softly in the breeze.
And then, like a wave crashing onto the shore, the audience erupts into cheers and applause. The tension in the air is replaced with excitement and admiration, as the crowd pays tribute to the incredible skill and power of the victor.
Reina bows slightly, acknowledging the support of the crowd. The spectators continue to cheer and applaud, their excitement lingering long after the battle has come to an end.
As he leaves the field, Reina can't help but think about his next opponent, "I'm waiting for you, Nonu!" he thinks to himself, his eyes filled with determination. "You better win your fight and come at me with all you've got!"
Meanwhile, Nobu can barely contain his excitement as he remembers the incredible move executed by Reina during his battle. "You better wait for me, Reina," he mutters to himself as his eyes gleam with a demonic purple light. "I'll come at you with all my might!"
The other participants remain stunned, struggling to comprehend how Reina managed to defeat Yagami in mere seconds.
"When did Reina learn to conceal his magic?" mutters Ash, wiping sweat from his forehead with the back of his forearm, eyes still fixed on Reina.
"This is unbelievable," muses Magnus. "It feels as if we're no match for him."
"Wait, did he really conceal his magic?" interjects Nobu, looking confused.
"Yes, he did," confirms Katsu. "But what's even more concerning is the way he appeared in front of Yagami in an instant. Arcane Magic is absolutely terrifying!"
"Well, I could still sense his presence, to be honest," reveals Nobu, prompting gasps of disbelief from the others. "The only thing that caught my interest was the skill he used to knock out Yagami!"
"You could sense his presence even though he concealed his magic!" exclaims Sayuri, startling Nobu with her sudden outburst. "Are you saying that your sense has nothing to do with magic?"
"I already told you about that," confirms Nobu with a shrug.
"You're creepier than Reina, then," protests Sayuri, slowly inching away from Nobu as if trying to avoid danger.
"Come on, Pipsqueak, I'm not that creepy!" retorts Nobu, slowly attempting to close the distance between him and Sayuri.
Reina and Yagami finally make their way back to the waiting room, where Magnus immediately rushes to Yagami's side to help him walk and take a seat.
"Yagami, are you alright?" asks Magnus with genuine concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine! Don't worry," replies Yagami with a soft smile, turning to face Reina. "You did surprise me out there. I wasn't even able to cast a single spell before you took the opportunity and sucked my Chi, knocking me unconscious. You're amazing, Reina! I feel safe knowing I have someone like you on my team."
"Same here," agrees Reina with a smile, just as Nobu interjects, "Oh, so that's why Yagami couldn't move," He gasps like an excited child.
Once again, the resounding voice booms through the room, signaling the start of the next fight. "The participants of this epic showdown, Nobu and Ash, are summoned to enter the arena through the north and south gates, respectively!"
"It's our turn now," chimes in Ash, unleashing a mischievous smile as he looks at the nonchalant Nobu before leaving the room. "Man... I've never been this excited before."
As Nobu prepares to leave as well, Reina calls out his name, causing the two to lock eyes intensely. It feels as though Reina is silently telling Nobu, "I'm waiting for you," through the intense eye contact they share. Nobu slowly nods and turns his back, making his way to the north gate of the arena.
The cheers of the audience echo throughout the arena as both Nobu and Ash prepare themselves behind the bars of their respective gates. As the bars begin to sink into the ground, they both gather their courage for the upcoming fight.
"Kira, watch over me," mutters Nobu, reaching for the orange crystal of his necklace and summoning the sword form of his Soul-Edge. "I'll do my best in this fight, okay!"
Meanwhile, thoughts race through Ash's mind as he takes the first step into the arena. His skin turns grey and horns emerge from his forehead, fulfilling his demonic transformation. "Just as promised, I'll keep on winning for you! Just watch me shine!" he declares with determination.
With both participants ready and set, the air thickens with anticipation as they both proclaim in unison, "I will win this fight!"
