[TAMIKO]
The walk to Tamiko's house wasn't long, and when they reached, Tamiko went directly to his bedroom.
He hadn't checked it earlier and hadn't paid much attention to it.
However, now that he looked, he could see three roses; one red rose, one lavender rose, and a white rose, each wrapped in a different sheet of paper.
There was also a different paper on its own and on it were some writings.
"For you, who has my heart and love, my beautiful erasthai. Please forgive me," the message read and for a moment there, Tamiko wondered if this really was worth it. He had been holding on to the idea that his Kosta was not a tractor.
He was desperate to believe that there was some good in Kosta, but when he had come back and found that he had left, without even a goodbye, Tamiko knew there was nothing else left for him.
His boyfriend had abandoned him.
His boyfriend had taken away all the hope he had and frankly, Tamiko wasn't ready for a heartbreak. But could this have been a misunderstanding?
Well, Igor knew how to open a mind link with Tamiko. He always did it on several occasions so there was just no way that the one time he was leaving, he wrote shit down, instead of reaching out to Tamiko through their mind link.
This was just unacceptable. And perhaps, Tamiko had realized that too. Because instead of reading the letters in roses, he grabbed them and stashed them in a memory box.
Maybe someday he would be brave enough to read whatever Igor had explained there, perhaps there would come a time when all of this would make sense, but until then, Tamiko was done pining over the possibility that Igor had abandoned him.
He was angry, but he had a way of dealing with his anger, and just as he was done stashing the roses and letters away, he could hear a knock, and a familiar scent.
Turns out the universe really loved him after all, right?
"Who is that?" Galya, who had been standing at Tamiko's door along with her brother, asked as they watched their friend stash away the letters. They wanted to tell him to reach the letters, but they knew that this was something Tamiko had to face, alone.
"Your mate, oh Luna," Danny teased and Tamiko let out a laugh for the first time in the ten minutes they had been back at his shelter.
"What?" Galya asked as she stared at her brother cluelessly. It was like she really had no clue what they were talking about. Well, this was going to be a little interesting.
"Girl, you are the Grealor Luna now. The man at the door, is your fucking mate," Tamiko said with a light laugh as he looked at his best friend, who was busy face-palming like she had truly forgotten about everything that had transpired in the past few days.
Well, they couldn't exactly blame her because they had grown up with her, and Galya Belova was forgetful as fuck. The only people she wouldn't forget about were her friends and family, which was not that long a list anyway.
"Oh shit. I am the Luna. Fuck… Wait, hold on. Why the fuck is he here?" Galya asked and Tamiko resisted the urge to roll his eyes at his friend, so to answer her question, he led the way to the living room where Gabe was busy knocking on the door.
"At this rate why didn't you just bring the house down you little shit. Your knocks are annoying as fuck. What the hell do you want? If it's your Luna, she's a little busy right now. Come back later.
"If it's your beta, his place is beside the luna and I doubt you're here for me," Tamiko added before he remembered that he had fought the alpha last evening. It was something that still shocked him and if he was being honest with himself, Tamiko was worried about his future.
Gabriel Grealor looked different, something that Tamiko instantly noticed but refused to acknowledge. He had bags under his eyes, and that was probably because of what had happened last evening.
The young alpha looked stressed and torn like the world was just his version of hell. If Gabe had been Danny, Tamiko would have offered to help him, but then he was Gabriel Grealor, the man Tamiko was going to make an example of.
"May I come in?" Gabe asked, respectfully as he looked at his mate. Oh, the urge to run to Tamiko and ask him if he was okay was so intense.
Gabe was worried about his mate.
With Igor leaving, he knew that Tamiko would need someone beside him. Sure, Galya and Danny were clearly never leaving his side, but Gabe wished that Tamiko would let him in. It was a little too much for him to ask, but what else could he do?
He was trying to make things right, but he was late; very very late and nothing would make Tamiko forgive him, right?
"Yeah, sure, come on in," Tamiko said and his friends stared at him knowingly. They knew there were some things that the two needed to sort out, and perhaps that was also why when Gabe walked in, Danny and Galya walked out.
Tamiko didn't try to stop them and they were thankful for that, because they didn't want to be the reason their friend didn't tie up his loose ends.
"How are you?" Gabe asked and Tamiko stared at him blankly. This wasn't the time for pleasantries, but the sincerity in Gabe's voice told Tamiko something else. It was like Gabe was reaching out even though he knew Tamiko would reject him over again.
"I'm sorry about your father. I didn't mean to. I didn't, not like that. I just… I can't explain what happened and I know it was cruel and shit, but I need you to know I didn't mean to. And I'm sorry, truly sorry for that," Tamiko blurted out, catching Gabe off guard.
"I know you didn't mean to. You didn't answer my question. How are you? With all that happened and Igor leaving, I figured I would check in on you," Gabe said again, and Tamiko sighed.
"Is that really why you are here? To ask me how I'm doing when the man who could take me from you left? Are you even hearing yourself?" Tamiko asked softly, as he walked closer to Gabe, closing the distance between them.
"What?" Gabe asked, clearly caught off guard by how fast Tamiko had closed the distance between them. He could smell Tamiko's woody scent and it was driving him nuts. He wanted more than just to have him close and fuck it was messing with him.
"Do you really wanna know how I am?" Tamiko teased as he ran a finger down Gabe's cheeks. He could feel Gabe tense up, and lean into him, and boy did Tamiko love that reaction.
"Iko—" Gabe breathed out, making Tamiko arch a brow at the name.
"Baby," Tamiko responded sensually, like he was feeling what Gabe was feeling, even though all he had was disgust for the man so close to him. He hated this man more than he ever hated anyone.
"I need you, please," Gabe said frustratedly, and Tamiko roughly smashed his lips against Gabe's, surprising both himself and the young Grealor alpha.
