Chapter 6 - The Movie

Of Course, I was not here for a movie date! I just came over to get some air, not the guys.

And what I expected came to reality, one of the guys sat next to the single girl, Manvi, and the other sat next to me. Dude I was about to sit between the girls, what was the guy doing beside me?

So I was trapped between Manvi and that guy. SHIT!

Still, I chose not to give away any hint of insecurity or irritation and kept calm. Another big issue was that we did not get the movie we came here for but another gut-wrenching movie- a documentary with blood and gore. Not a good idea when you hate documentaries like that and have just had lunch.

By the looks of it, Manvi and the guy sitting with her had a fling, so I obviously could not disturb them, and the other girl, Akshada was sitting far away, unable to see my helpless glances. So I was stuck with the guy sitting beside me.

Eventually, we spoke, or let's say, he began the conversation.

"Megha, right?"

"Yeah" I replied"Which college?"

With a shocked or surprised expression, he looked at me and called Manvi, "Dude, does she not know me?" That sounded like they had a conversation about me before. So this was indeed a matchmaking date.

Too much for staying out of people's eyes. Everyone has already started noticing me even though I rarely got out of my room. I had to decrease getting out now.

The movie was so disturbing that I stopped watching it and started texting on my phone. There were texts from Anurag, so I started talking to him. Few moments later, the guy sitting beside me started talking again.

"Do you not like the movie?"

"What is there to like? There's only hatred, killing, and torturing, all the things that are supposed to be let go of, and I am sitting here in such huge amount of negative vibes. It scares me."

"What is there to be scared of? I am here for you." was his reply.

"Dude, shut the fuck up." What made him think I was interested in him being there for me?

With a nervous chuckle, he continued, "Well sorry that was cringey. But, your hand looks heavy would you like me to hold it for you?"

Oh lord, save me, please. Why did I leave my room today?

The rest of the movie continued with him using stupid pickup lines and me fake laughing at them.

After 3 hours of visual, mental, and emotional torture, the movie was over and I was the first to jump out of my seat.

"Hey, when shall I look forward to see you next?" The guy asked.

"When it is meant to be." I replied, secretly hoping it would never happen.
