"I can see you're strong. But even the mightiest can't fight forever. If I had intentions to harm you two from the beginning, now would be my chance, as you're drained and defenseless. After all, you can't retaliate against me in your present condition." Cyril stated bluntly, not disguising the implication behind his words.
Adras registered the implication behind his words and hesitated, the wooden bat still clutched tightly in his grip.
Calissa's voice, innocent and gentle, interjected.
"Brother, he doesn't seem like a bad guy." She stated, looking at her brother.
Adras glanced at his sister, then back at Cyril. Slowly, he lowered the wooden bat, releasing a sigh of weariness. Even he could discern that Cyril's words made sense as if he had bad intentions, he would have taken advantage of them as soon as fatigue took hold of him.
