Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 - SENT TO DIE

She never expected to die at the hands of her husband. And worst, she was alone in her last moment, left in a pool of blood in an unknown place.

Three hours ago, she received a letter from her father that her beloved mother was missing. There was no evidence of forced entry into her bedroom, and everything was neat and in order.

In the last part of the letter, it was a warning. She had no understanding of what her father meant so she decided to meet him in person.

Her husband, Alpha Lucian of Zedora Kingdom, proposed to accompany her. Although it was an unusual offer, she gladly accepted it.

The marriage between the ruler of Zedora and the eldest daughter of the King of Terraria was just for the sake of peace.

Her father, King Magnus, ruled during the invasion of mythical and unearthly beings. At first, the humans fought for the survival of the mortal race. But after battling the dark creatures for years, King Magnus finally realized that they could never win against those with supernatural powers.

As a sign of his acceptance to the new race that invaded Terraria, he offered his eldest daughter to the most ruthless and powerful alpha of the werewolf clan.

A week after both sides signed the peace treaty, Amelia was sent to Zedora to marry Alpha Lucian. She had no idea what he looked like or what her life would be in a foreign land, but because of her kindness and love toward her father, she did not protest.

Her arrival in Zedora had caused an uproar from its citizens. Besides the fact that she was a human, her beauty wasn't exceptional—she was plain and simple.

Lucian was the alpha of the Moon Shadows Pack—considered the most powerful pack among the werewolves, and so everyone thought he deserved someone better. And her, being his Queen and a mortal Luna, would weaken the kingdom's power.

Some said she was sent to die by her father to save Terraria, but she didn't care. She convinced herself that what her father did was for a good cause and she was delighted to be a part of it.

After the wedding, she thought Lucian would take her on their first night, but it didn't happen. And it never did. For three months, she was just his wife, his queen and his Luna by name. Her life at Zedora was merely to keep the peace between the humans and the dark creatures. The alpha slept with different women every night to satisfy his overflowing lust.

But instead of drowning herself with sadness, she spent her days serving the people of the kingdom. She built an orphanage for the abandoned children of different races and had given enough lands to those who had nothing. She became the most famous Luna in Terraria because of her kindness and purity.

But who would have thought that after three months of her ascension, she would die in the hands of her husband. The last thing she remembered was his cold laughter, telling her how naive she was.

"W-Why?" She muffled.

She heard someone chuckling. It wasn't Lucian, but she couldn't clearly see who it was because her vision was already starting to fade.

"How could she be so clueless? I still can't believe she was loved by the people of Zedora." It was a woman's voice that sounded so familiar.

"Leave her. I told you to do this quietly." Lucian said.

His cold voice sent shivers into her spine, adding coldness to her numbed body. She wanted to ask Lucian what she did wrong to be killed by him, but she couldn't utter a single word. The stab wound in her chest and the gunshot in her stomach quickly weakened her.

She could still hear the faint sound of her fading heartbeat. Blood was flowing from her wounds while being watched by Lucian and the woman. Then another man walked closer with a cigarette between his lips, but she also couldn't recognize his face.

"You're here. Any news?" Lucian asked the man.

The man took the cigarette and threw it on her face.

"The king is dead." The man answered.

The woman excitedly jumped hearing the man's response. "How about the queen and the twins?"

"Dead. But the twins are still missing. We couldn't find them." The man lowered his head.

Lucian's eyes turned red and his fangs grew while he howled loudly into the night.

"Find them. I don't care how you kill them, but I want their hearts on a plate in the morning." Lucian gritted his teeth.

The king, the queen and the twins? Are they talking about her family? She thought inwardly. With her parents' faces and the sweet smile of her siblings in her mind, tears started to fall from her left eye.

The woman bent over to look at her face. "Look, she's crying with just one eye."

Lucian turned to her with a frown on his face. "You're in pain, my dear wife. Would you like to die now?"

She didn't expect that his coldness could be colder than ever. She mustered the courage and strength to stare into his eyes. She felt her heart flare seeing his gaze had no remorse and guilt.

"What's that stare for?" The woman yelled.

She heard a ringing sound in her ears and felt a pricking pain in her cheek when the woman's palm landed on her face. But her slap helped her to stay awake

"Let's get this over with. We still have a kingdom to destroy." Lucian commented.

The alpha grabbed her arms, pulling her to stand up. She had no strength left in her lower body, but Lucian didn't care. He held her up like she was just a piece of meat.

She tilted her head up and saw the moon watching over her.

'Are you watching, Goddess of the Moon? Are you happy seeing your children kill a weak mortal? Did you create them to destroy the human race?' She asked quietly.

Then a dark red cloud suddenly covered the moon. She smiled when Lucian bit her neck, devouring a small piece of her flesh.
