Chapter 6 - A fresh breath

The next one hit her other arm and finally she fell down on the ground.

The man who was fuming as the fire was tightly clutching on his gun to fire another shot at her but thankfully his grandfather raised his struggling arm that made the man stop and throw all his concentration at his grandpa.

He ran with a seriously worried face and got on his knees as soon as he reached the old man.

Just because earlier after seeing from the helicopter his pale grandfather who looked as better as dead, he assumed on his own that the woman who was wearing the same outfit as his enemy was the one to kill his grandpa.

So, he jumped down on the roof and in rage started to shot her in areas that couldn't kill her easily. He wanted to give her a slow and painful death!

"Don't… kill her," his grandpa who has been conscious from the moment he heard Tia cry over Leigh's death couldn't open his eyes because of all the smoke. But he got startled when Tia got hit by bullets.

Though he had no idea who that person would be but he raised his arm just in case what he has thought in his head came true.

And God knows, his sixth sense was really just amazing or maybe he simply knew his grandson very well!

The old man only said that and fell back to his unconscious self.

The first thing she saw as soon as she opened her eyes was the bright light that reflected beautifully over the brightly painted white wall.

Her eyes narrowed and shut back over the brightness.

Everything was really bright for a person who has lived her whole life in one building from another that looked grim and smelled gory.

There was a very strong smell of medication everywhere in the room but that didn't feel as bad as the place she was living before.

The room had calm vibe and she was at peace only till reality hit her hard and she sat back in a hurry. Her head ached like anything, she was holding with her both hand that has been bandaged and plastered.

'Where is Leigh? I need to bring her out from there as quick as possible. There is still some hope!' she was under the effect of medication that was making her hallucinate even though she was wide awoke.

Her head was ringing and she could hear her own voice cursing her from somewhere, 'If it wasn't for you, she wouldn't have died!'

"Died" her pale lips uttered those words barely and eyebrows creased. She shook her head quickly, "No, she was still running at that time. She can't die, I saw her with my own eyes escaping that place happily".

She muttered hallucinating and forced her eyes to open up again.

Everything confused her so badly that she forgot the freshness she got from this new place and held her head more tightly while forcing it down. In all, she didn't want to see the reality at all.

The door of the room opened smoothly, nothing like her room's door and she got alert.

This wasn't the place she has lived till now; it had a nicer feeling then that bloody place but unfamiliarity of this place was scaring her and now she was more vigilant when she saw a man entering inside the room in which she was.

Since she kept her head down, she only saw his branded shoe. It was shiny brown and looked noble. The only person she has seen wearing such nice shoe was the head of the terrorist group.

He only came to the side branch once when she was 13 and now it has been eight years but the only shoes, she saw till now was sports.

This made her more frightened with her confused mind over thinking.

"How are you?" his husky and deep voice startled her out of her wits and she slowly lifted her eyes.

It appeared nothing to others eyes but it took her a lot of courage to just see the person in front of her.

The moment her eyes met his, her ears started to ring and breath become quicker, eyes drowsier.

The man understood that she was panicking at his sight. He quickly pressed the alarm for doctors to come.

"She has been sleeping for hours, when will she wake up?" Roff got impatient waiting for her to wake up.

The doctor in charge moved his tongue to push his left cheeks while thinking for a moment and suddenly pressed his lips as if smiling, "She will but not till the medicine effects worn out, you should learn to be more patient, Roff!".

He shook his head over his client impatience and walked out of the room after glancing back once.

Roff who was sitting next to the bed for hours breathed out of annoyance as he made himself more comfortable on the chair by crossing his arms and legs.

He didn't realize when but as soon as he blinked once, he gave a side glance to Tia whose hand was over his neck while holding a scissor that she got from the other side of her bed.

"Who are you and what is this place?" she looked hostile.

She has been awake for about fifteen minutes and now her head was pretty clear but she was waiting for them to leave the room so that she can look into the situation properly but once she judged Roff behaviour, she became sure that he wasn't going anywhere till she wakes up, so it left her with no other measure than this.

Roff scoffed while smiling egoistically, he kept his arms crossed and glared her from sides, "Imagine killing me here and dying the next moment my guards come inside. How wonderful it will be to die together".

He mocked with a fine smile. Seeing no fears in his eyes, Tia genuinely felt more scared, she felt helpless with her arms that were moving like a broken piece of timber.

She knew it was impossible to kill him judging from his well-built body but for him to get out of her clutch and even press her down using his own body, that was something new to her!
