I fell into the familiarity of making my favorite drink. The warm soothing smells filled the shop, and I made sure everything was perfect. Because I could feel Sebastian's eyes on me the entire time as he stood at the counter unmoving.
R-" Here you are, sir, one Chai Tea Latte."
S-"Thank you."
His fingertips slightly brushed mine as he took his cup. I couldn't help but pull back from how cold they were. The wind must have really picked up after the sun went down.
S-"There aren't many cafés open at this hour in this town. I'm glad I found one."
R-" Are you visiting on business?"
I gestured towards his suit and briefcase.
S-"No, my family has always owned a piece of property here, and I've come to renovate it. Depending on how things go this winter, I may make it my home."
R- "Oh, well, welcome to town. Winters here are usually very mild. Im sure we'll only get snowfall once, maybe twice. " This little voice in the back of my mind is telling me he needs to stay. Here.
S-"I appreciate the welcome. I have not had the chance to meet anyone else yet, so it means a great deal. Would you mind showing me around town?"
Me? He wants me to show him around town?
I don't even know him? How do I avoid this delicately...
R- " I have to stay to close up shop. But everyone here is super friendly and it's not a very big town. "
S-" I can wait for you to close the shop."
R- "Oh. Okay."
