Davien's P. O. V
I didn't believe Louis' words until I marched into the hospital and saw Valerie's dead body for myself, clean and tucked away for preservation. According to the doctor's report, she died from a stab wound, it was in every way a clean cut murder.
The police were also very involved in the case, having someone like Louis turn up at the hospital with a dead body caused a lot of heads to turn. It didn't take them very long to tie down the murderer to her bloody uncle, now the only work they had left was to locate him.
"I can't believe that woman is dead." Louis muttered as his feet paced left and right by my car at the parking lot.
But that wasn't the main thought invading my thoughts. Right after I saw her corpse I took out my phone, and realized the countless number of phone calls she placed to me. And a text message saying we needed to talk urgently.
