Helios turning around replied, "We challenged that Alan boy for a match tomorrow." "Huh?! For real?" asked Jonah surprised. "Yeah… and we need to be ready for that. Because… he isn't like those high schoolers. He is really different." Seraph said. "So you all challenged a single person?" asked Mikael.
"Yeah, however, he told us not to underestimate him. And, really how can we? When we saw him dragging twenty sports drinks boxes all by himself today." praised Cassiel in wonder. "Even if you tell us again and again it's still a great surprise." told Christopher as the others nodded.
"Alright, let them sleep now. Since, they have to work so hard. Your highness, don't worry about it. We'll take care of everything." Damian assured. For a while, Kenzo's reply wasn't heard. "Your highness?" asked Isaak. Xavier sitting up looked at the couch with Heber to find him sleeping peacefully. "He's asleep." Xavier whispered. The other middle schoolers soon went back to their rooms while Silas set the alarm and Damian, Theo and Mikael waited for the highschoolers to return.
A little while later, Aaron came inside with Senri and Elias to find the lounge covered dark. "What in the world… I can't even see my feet. What are those boys doing?" he questioned complexly. "Sleeping." replied Faris sneaking behind his back. Shivers went down Aaron's spine. "Ekk!!" he shrieked turning around, "What are you doing?! That scared me?!"
"I suggest you don't scream." Advised Mikael from behind again. "Oh my god!!" he screamed once more hiding behind Elias. "Sleeping? Over here?" Senri questioned perplexed. "Yeah… since, they all have to wake up on the same alarm." Jonah told. "So dark." commented Isa coming inside beside the others.
"Those brats are sleeping. We have manage with that." told Elias smiling. "I see wonders here every day." commented Nagi in disbelief as he made his way upstairs. "Say, when will the alarm ring?" asked Aigou. "At 7 PM. That's what his highness told." replied Silas.
"Come on, let's go upstairs." called Ren following Nagi. "Wait a minute let me see their faces." said Noah rushing towards the lounge where all the middle schoolers were fast asleep. Some on the couch and some on the floor below. "Heeh… how nostalgic. I wonder if I am seeing a déjà vu of ourselves." Orion recalled their past.
Kazuna too stared. "Zachariah, give me your phone will you?" asked Senri amusingly. Zach handing it over nodded. "Noah, pull up the curtains for a minute. Let me snap their picture." Senri told.
Noah nodded as Aigou helped him. "Just make sure not to wake them up." advised Isa. "Yeah, Yeah." replied Senri. Silas, Mikael and Faris looked at each other wordless, "What in the world are they doing?" "Who knows? Just let them be." Damian uttered taking a deep breath. "Really, what are they doing…?" sighed Ren from above.
"Did you take it?" asked Noah. Senri pointing his thumbs up nodded. "That's good…" Elias replied looking at the picture. "They look cute don't they?" asked Aigou lovingly. "Yeah…" replied Isa. "Zachariah, sent these pics to my phone once you're free alright?" Senri told.
"Send it at Kazuna's phone as well. That way we can also get a print." Aigou added. "I'll compare it with ours." Smiled Noah. "Seriously?" sighed Orion. "Come on, let them sleep. All this noise is going to wake them up." told Isa heading upstairs. Soon the others made their way behind him. "Sleeping so soundly, I can't help but wonder if they all even challenged or not." assumed Aaron.
"Just like Haruf said, they really are an interesting bunch." Noah recalled. "Come on, kazuna. What are you standing there for?" Senri asked Kazuna who continuously stared in a single direction. "What's wrong?" Senri questioned resting his arm on his shoulder and staring at the same place he did, to find a broken bat resting before the gear cupboard.
"Huh? It's broken." Senri said picking it up. "Ryan…" he read from the corner of the clutching tape. "Ryan? "Is this bat that brat's?" Senri looked at Kazuna. "Give it to me." said Kazuna.
"So this was the bat, that brat asked you to fix. What are you going to do with it?" Senri questioned. Grabbing the bad from his hand Kazuna looked at it up and down. "What else? I'll fix it. I'm sure I'll fix it till tomorrow." he exclaimed. Senri blinked his eyes surprised, "Really? But, you haven't done that since ages." "Remember the last bat you fixed was of Alan's." he continued.
Kazuna taking a deep breath spoke, "Of course, I never broke anyone's bat since that day. So if I did it now, I should better mend it. Who knows… what kind of memories it holds…" Senri taking a deep breath sighed, "Alright, alright do as you wish but, let me go with you. If you think of working in the workshop. Okay?" "Hm…" Kazuna nodded. Taking the bat with him he walked upstairs to others.
Alan reaching the research room entered inside. Rauf, Evandor, Haruf, Nidou with Seles, Drake and Kortes were already set ready. "Took your sweet time just to come here you brat!" mocked Nidou slipping his sports drink. Alan eyed him annoyed, "Don't talk to me! I am not talking to you!!"
"Tch!" Nidou clicked his tongue, "This is how a son treats his father once he grows up… sigh~ I should just commit suicide." Alan and the others looked at him speechless.
"Excuse me, rather than blaming me you were the one at fault. Why did you interrupt in between moreover, hitting my head with a sports drink just because I didn't greet you? Unbelievable, my respect has gone into ruins! All thanks to my own father…" Alan uttered halting amid his sentence.
For an instant, Nidou eyed him stunned as Alan too stood wide eyed. Rauf eyed the two of them silent. "Father Hun…" Nidou whispered amused. Alan clearing his throat sat beside Rauf as Nidou looked at Seles. "So… did you find him?" he asked. His question meant for Alan, Rauf too waited for his response.
"No… I couldn't. I really don't know what's going on. It's as if I am being spun around his web. I try to find before me and he's always at my back however, the moment I turn around… he vanishes. Izack looked around everywhere via his men however, in America there was still no trace of him. Even the others did the effort of finding them too. However, I am still at a loss. I can't believe myself as well." Alan responded resting his back on the couch gazing at the roof above.
"Who would've known he would turn out to be so cunning?" spoke Kortes. Nidou and Rauf eyed Alan stern. "Alright, now back to the topic. Haruf, will you hand the files over to me?" asked Nidou. Haruf nodded handed the files over to Nidou. "So what's the news about the world cup across the globe?" Nidou questioned.
Haruf nodded told, "The T-20 world cup will officially commence after 4 months, roughly near mid-November in winter. However, the team registration will start after a month though, in August. After, the selection of the base will the teams be finalized. Be it through a country's league matches or premier matches." Rauf took a deep breath. "So we roughly have 4 months to train. What should we do?" asked Evan. Nidou reading the file suddenly shut it tight.
"What else is there to do? We'll have to squeeze their capabilities out in the allotted time. After Alan's challenge. I'll begin my training. Rauf will train the highschoolers in the meantime while Alan will help me. Rauf already knows the teaching plan. So, there's no need for me explain everything. Furthermore, Kortes, Seles and Drake will keep a full eye on their training progress. Got that?" he exclaimed.
