**** Theodore's POV ****
As I grabbed the items I would need, I began to make my way to pay for my stuff, I noticed my brother watching me. I had seen him for a while, but I left him alone since he didn't approach me.
I knew from his expression, that he was planning some sort of retaliation.
'He always failed to see the bigger picture. Always focusing on himself, this is why he failed to amount to much.' I thought, as I went about my business. I wouldn't be seeing my brother again after tonight, so I was just trying to leave as soon as possible. Dealing with him was a waste of my time.
However as I began to leave, and head towards the bus stop, I was approached by a large group of 10 men. Ryan was behind them, smiling a wicked little grin, as he was talking to one of the men. The man he was talking to boasted a large stature of almost 7 feet, and big riding muscles. He had tattoos all over himself, and I knew he must be a gang member.
I put my stuff down, and prepared to deal with the men. As a Hunter, I could easily overpower 10 men, I just didn't want to. These men were stupid in my eyes, I could only look at them with pity, pity for being so focused on earning small amounts of money.
"What do you guys want?" I asked, clearly annoyed.
The men didn't seem to like that I was acting like they were a nuisance, and began noticeably more aggressive. They began to pull out miscellaneous weapons.
Sighing, I walked forward without fear, and kicked a man standing at the front in the stomach. The man was instantly sent flying five feet backwards, with everyone hearing the sound of his ribs breaking.
It was silent, so quiet that you would almost believe that we were all standing together waiting for the bus.
"If there is nothing else, I am going to leave." I began to walk towards the bags I had left on the ground. As I bent over to pick them up, a leg came flying towards my face. I easily caught it with my hand, and stood up. It was the leg of the man who looked like the leader. He had a surprised look on his face, that turned into a sneer as he tried to pull his leg back, preparing to kick me again.
However he soon realized my grip on his leg was too tight. He couldn't pull his leg back.
"Since I am in a hurry, I will accept this leg as your apology." I then squeeze his shin, crushing it entirely, and dropped it like a piece of trash. I then walked towards Ryan, the previously violent crowd sheepishly parted way for me. As I arrived in front of him, I noticed the fear in his eyes. I put my hand gently on his shoulder, causing him to flinch. "You're my brother, I wish you would stop embarrassing me like this."
With that I left, however as I was leaving I turned around and kicked Ryan in the chest. Shattering his rib cage. "I am not someone who will just take someone causing him trouble, while laying down. As a final courtesy, I choose not to cripple you today. After today, you're no longer my brother. You're now just- what did you like to call me before? Trash." I spit on him and walked onto the bus that had just arrived.
After today, I truly had no family in my heart. My parents had abandoned me, and as did my brother. Trying to attack me with a bunch of gang members. I steeled a part of my heart again, no longer freely giving access to it to just anyone.
I later arrived back at the house, and Hailey had just come back from a dungeon. We packed our belongings, and headed to the airport. We took Hailey's car, and began talking about where we wanted to go. We both agreed to travel to the Far East, and would do a coin flip once we got to the airport. We were both in high spirits, because we would be traveling the world together. It was very exciting for two people who had never left the country before.
We bought out tickets, and boarded the plane shortly after. We had a long flight ahead of us, so we both slept. As Hunters with increased Constitutions, we had less and less need for sleep, however we both still accumulated stress just the same. We ended up sleeping the entire time, and the two of us both had a peaceful rest, since there was not much noise on the plane. We had bought first class tickets, so that we could enjoy our privacy and also sleep in peace.
When we landed, it would begin the nest chapter of our lives, together.
