Chereads / THE LEGENDARY GRAND MAGISTER / Chapter 3 - FIRST CORE

Chapter 3 - FIRST CORE

Lady Delith asked, "With your lightning, fire, and wind attributes, what kind of magic technique are you going to create?"

I replied, "I don't think it would be wise to share my ideas, as someone might steal them." Lady Delith playfully slapped my shoulder and left to join Lady Edan Valtor at the upper right table.

As I started to gather my things, Lady Cassandra intervened and asked, "Where do you think you're going? The class isn't over yet."

"I need some space to focus on my research," I explained.

"Ah, I understand," Lady Cassandra said, before continuing, "By the way, Lucius, the Desavich family declined the offer to enter the Student Circle Council. The Head Master believes that all 8 high noble houses should be part of it, and our status is crucial in maintaining the security and order of the Academy. With the absence of the Desavich family, our function will be affected."

"I understand your suggestion, but if Delith declines the offer because of my decision, then the Desavich family will establish the Red Security Council," I said, preparing to leave. However, Lady Cassandra grabbed my arm again.

"No, wait! Creating another body would require permission from the Headmaster. There are vacant positions in the Academic Council under Edan Valton. You guys can join her," she exclaimed.

"We will not work under anyone's rule, Lady Cassandra. I will personally speak with the Headmaster about it. Either he agrees, or the Desavich family will not be a part of the Student Circle Council," I declared, freeing my arm from her grip and left.

"Did he agree?" Lord Sanders Ravenwing, the Vice President of the Student Circle Council asked.

"Yes, he did, but he will establish the Red Security Council as his Council body," I replied.

"Another branch body? Well, that might not be a bad idea. The Peace and Order Council alone may not be sufficient to ensure the safety and security of the students. Having the Red Security Council could be a significant help," he commented.

I took a deep breath, refocusing my attention on completing the draft of my magic research.

I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the final step in creating my magic core. This was the moment I had been working towards, the culmination of all my research and experimentation. I carefully laid out the crystals in a specific arrangement on the table in front of me, their energies humming with potential.

I had studied countless ancient texts to learn the intricate process of imbuing a magic core into my own body before. It was a risky endeavor, but I was determined to push the boundaries of my magical abilities.

With trembling hands, I placed my right hand over my chest, just above my heart. I closed my eyes and began to chant the incantations, drawing upon the vast well of magic within me. I could feel the energy swirling around me, responding to my command.

I focused my mind, visualizing the magic core forming inside me. I could sense the crystals resonating with my own magic, their energies melding with mine. The sensation was intense, a mix of warmth and tingling that spread through my chest.

I continued to chant, my voice growing stronger with each word. I poured all of my concentration into the spell, carefully controlling the flow of energy to ensure the magic core formed correctly. Sweat dripped down my face, but I refused to falter.

After what felt like an eternity, I felt a surge of power in my chest. My heart skipped a beat as I opened my eyes, and there it was - my first magic core, pulsating with energy, nestled within my chest.

"I can't believe it, I've managed to create my magic core at the age of 12, while before I was 20 when I first accomplished this feat," I muttered to myself with a mixture of awe and pride. It was a remarkable achievement, one that set me apart from my peers at the academy.

However, I knew that revealing my magic core at such a young age would likely raise eyebrows and invite unwanted attention. It was crucial to keep it concealed for now, until I had honed my skills and gained more control over my newfound power.

I exited the room I had rented in the Knowledge Tower. It was time to discussing the formation of the Red Security Council with the headmaster.

"Lord Lucius, are you suggesting the creation of a new Student Circle Council body called the Red Security Council? But we already have a Peace and Order council in place," the headmaster remarked.

"Yes, I am aware of that," I replied. "However, the Peace and Order council primarily focuses on the implementation and enforcement of rules and regulations within the Academy. The Red Security Council would have a specific mandate to handle security and investigation matters related to magic and students."

"Hmm, that does make sense," the headmaster mused. "But do you think the Desavich members would be capable of handling such responsibilities? After all, there are only three Desavich students in the Academy."

"Yes, we can recruit members based on qualifications and standards that we set ourselves," I assured him.

"Very well then, I approve of your proposal to establish the Red Security Council as a part of the Student Circle Council," the headmaster announced. "This will now complete the Student Circle Council with all 8 houses represented as heads of various bodies."

"The Executive Council will be headed by Lady Cassandra Silvercrest and Lord Sanders Ravenwing, the Legislation Council by the Blackthorn siblings, the Peace and Order Council by the Frednalin siblings, the Disciplinary Council by the Durandal family, the Academic Affairs Council by the Valton family, the Public Affairs Council by the Carathorn family, and the Red Security Council by the Desavich family," he continued.

"I will inform the Executive Council about this decision and the Red Security Council can commence its operations immediately. Thank you for your proposal, Lord Lucius," the headmaster concluded.

"Thank you for your consideration, Headmaster," I expressed my gratitude and departed from the meeting.

As I arrived at the grandiose Desavich Mansion, I was greeted by Lady Delith, who seemed eager to share something with me, Delux and her went home ahead of me since I got a meeting with the Councils. We made our way to the study, a room adorned with shelves of ancient tomes and flickering candles casting a warm glow.

"Lady Delith, what did you want to show me?" I asked, curiosity piqued.

With a gleam of excitement in her eyes, Lady Delith pulled out a leather-bound journal from her bag and placed it on the table. "Lucius, I've been conducting research on space manipulation, and I believe I've made a significant breakthrough."

I couldn't help but be intrigued. Space manipulation was a rare and complex branch of magic that fascinated me, and I had dabbled in it during my own studies. Lady Delith was known for her brilliance in magical research, and I eagerly opened the journal to see her findings.

in such a young age she completely beat me in terms of space manipulation research, the former me establish space manipulation around my 40s tho I perfected the magic in 1 year.

Lady Delith looked at me expectantly as I finished reviewing her research on space manipulation. I took a moment to gather my thoughts before responding.

"Well, I could say that it is possible," I began cautiously, "but it would be wise for you to focus on portals since you have established expertise in that area. Once you have mastered portals, you can then delve deeper into the other aspects of space manipulation."

Lady Delith nodded thoughtfully, considering my suggestion. "Hmmm, you're right," she conceded with a small smile, "it's always good to have a solid foundation before venturing into new territory. Well, it's getting late, and I must be going."

She gathered her notes and prepared to leave, and I walked her to the door. Our mansions were conveniently located next to each other, and we often engaged in discussions about our magical research.

"Thank you for your insights, Lucius," Lady Delith said with gratitude, "your perspective is always valuable."

I nodded, reciprocating her appreciation. "Likewise, Lady Delith. It's always a pleasure to exchange ideas with you."
