Saya's POV within Atsushi
I remember the time I first met Atsushi as my vessel. It was over 5 years ago, a few days before the downfall of humanity. It was the day when me and my fellow spirits came out of the world: from trees, rivers, mountains, volcanoes, forests, etc. Then, all of us, having known the upcoming downfall of humanity, went into places with human populations to find our new and potential vessels. Some will be our vessels while others will be left to suffer their fate. We guaranteed our new vessels not only survival during the upcoming apocalypse, but also, safety, protection, and guidance during and even after it.
So, all of us, being invisible from the humans, went into our new vessels without catching their attentions, taking possession of their physical bodies for life. And one person I found interesting and peculiar is a young boy. His name is Atsushi Ikari, and he was…ordinary and seemingly nice. So, seeing his potential later in his life, I went in and took possession of his body, making him my vessel for life.
But, there is something that I found strange is memories, but it was from a different place, era, and…person. Those pieces of memories that this boy has are different and strange, and the sounds and words he hears and says are a lot more different than the memories' setting. This is when I knew that Atsushi is actually a reincarnation of someone from a country known as the Philippines. That someone is called Paulo Garcia, of the province of Bohol. Despite the facts about Atsushi, I completely accepted him for who he was. Ever since then, we were inseparable as spirit and vessel, and Atsushi didn't know that at all. Hehe…
Atsushi's POV in his mind
I remembered…it was 5 years ago. According to the memories of my new body in this life, I was a boy born and grew up in Shibuya. Both of my parents were happy for my birth and are ordinary and loving to me. As a result, I had a good childhood with them living in Shibuya's suburbs and had good social skills at kindergarten and first 2 years in elementary.
But, one day was a nightmare for me. Why? Because on that day, one afternoon after school, I was walking home when suddenly, I saw people collapsing to the ground all of a sudden, with those who drive vehicles ended up crashing. Those people are dead, and I was horrified to see that. My memory of that scene from the anime show from my previous life proved it all.
So, I ran back home to tell that to my parents. But then, as I arrived at home, two dead bodies were found in the living room. Both of them are my parents, who also fell victim in this sudden death plague. Seeing made me horrified and scared, and I ran to them to try to wake them up. "Mom, dad, wake up!"
I said that a few times, but neither of them came back to life.
Because of that, I started to cry at their deaths, mourning for them.
