Mikaela's POV
"Okay, sure..." I replied back while trying to calm my urges down.
Shortly after, Atsushi explained to me that his squad consisted of two people: one is Myeong of South Korea, and the other one is Basuki of Indonesia. Both had guardian spirits named Balam and Kawah.
Well...these humans looked innocent to me.
And then, we heard some screams from some human children and went there, only to see that those children are being taken by some vampires to their helicopter.
"What in the...?" Atsushi commented in shock.
"No..." Basuki added.
Because of that, I turned to them and Myeong-chan. "Hey, guys, you should stop these vampires. I'll go behind and hide so those monsters will not see me as a traitor."
Third person POV
Atsushi and his team were surprised at his response. "What?" Basuki said to him.
"Are you sure about that?" Balam added.
Mikaela then nodded. "Yes, go on and fight them."
Eventually, the Tanjung Squad agreed and went full-on in their attacks on the vampires. The vampires were caught by surprise and tried to fight back. But the Tanjung Squad proved to be very formidable against them, so the vampires had almost no chance against them. And as those bloodthirsty monsters were being pinned down by the squad from the Red Scarlet Army, Mikaela snuck behind and rescued the children from being kidnapped by the vampires. Though scared of him because of his vampire military uniform, the human children followed his lead and managed to get out of the scene with him. At the same time, the Tanjung Squad managed to defeat the vampires with the latter being turned into nothing thanks to their Spirit Weapons.
"Yes!" Atsushi responded to this in happy victory.
"We did it!" Myeong added before Balam complimented her hard work in this battle in a formal, posh-noble tone.
As Myeong blushed a bit at Balam's words, Basuki came forward and took over the vampires' combat helicopter after checking its inside for any leftover vampires. He can fly a helicopter because of his experience with going on missions that involved riding in helicopters. Upon seeing that, Atsushi and the others were stunned with shocking awe.
"Wait, what?"
"You can do that, Basuki-kun?"
Mikaela and the children saw that and were stunned, too.
After insulting and cutting off the vampire respondents on the helicopter's communication system, Basuki looked at Atsushi and the others and said, "Come on, everyone, let's get out of here." Atsushi and the others did so, with Mikaela guiding the children into the helicopter. And so, all of them took off to the skies, leaving the scene behind.
Along the way, Basuki planned to take the children to one of the outposts of the Red Scarlet Army, and Atsushi and Myeong planned to regroup with the Shinoa squad at a park in the city. Atsushi, using his knowledge of the episode that contains the scene, made sure that he and Myeong would fight the Fifteenth Progenitor Lucal Wesker. Basuki agreed and flew to the location of the fight scene according to Atsushi's knowledge. There once he did so, Basuki saw the fight being ongoing and lowered the helicopter in a secluded area. With that, Atsushi and Myeong got off, leaving behind Mikaela and the kids to fight the Fifteenth Progenitor Lucal Wesker. With that, Basuki said good luck to them and left off with Mikaela and the children.
And so, Atsushi and Myeong entered the scene and fought off the vampires and the Fifteenth Progenitor Lucal Wesker, much to the surprise of the assigned squads of the Imperial Demon Army.
"Atsushi-kun!" Yuichiro commented.
"We needed some help, you two!" Yoichi added while struggling in the fight.
Atsushi and Myeong brought their strength and power to the battle, dominating their foes for the most part. While in the fight and sensing an incoming attack, Lucal Wesker throws Esther in the way to use him as a meat shield to protect himself, and Esther perishes. Then, the Narumi Squad defeated the remaining vampires and looked at Atsushi and Myeong with awe, while the Shinoa squad was a bit proud of their friends from the Red Scarlet Army.
Meanwhile, in the Underground, Ichinose Squad struggles to defeat Nineteenth Progenitor, Mel Stefano but eventually wins. Private Kusunoki reaches them and reveals that all forty-five soldiers at City Hall were defeated by Crowley Eusford. Nineteen of them were killed, and the remainder were held hostage. Goshi provides a comforting illusion for Kusunoki as Kusunoki passes away.
