Seraphina jumped at the sudden voice that echoed in her head. It was a soft child like voice that carried a haughty tone. She didn't didn't get the chance to wonder what was happening as the very next moment, a transparent screen appeared in front of her with bold golden letters written on it.

As Seraphina finished reading the data that was displayed on the screen, a frown appeared on her beautiful face. What kind of stupid data was this? She wondered as she once again found herself staring at some particular words. It was almost like whoever created this file of hers was trying to mock her on her current bizarre situation.
She didn't get enough time to curse the creator of the data file as the screen changed and more information appeared on it.

Seraphina stared at the screen that was filled with zeroes. Her frown only deepend as she tried to make sense of all the words that were written on the screen. She wondered what kind of system she had gained from the Afterlife Council and how it was going to work.
"Can you get out of my head?" She suddenly asked out loud while her gaze still remained fixed on the screen.
A moment later, the room got filled with a bright silver light for a second or two before a little creature appeared on the dust covered bed out of the blue.
"Oh no! Oh no! It's dirty!"
The creature screeched as it immediately jumped from the bed and landed into a very shocked Seraphina's hands. Despite not being prepared, her body moved instinctively and her hands reached out to catch the little thing.
Once it was in her hands, she moved it to her eye level and took a proper look at it. As a fluff ball of light blue and white hair with two huge cartoon like eyes and big ears standing on alert, it looked way too cute. It even had some sorts of accessories pinned over its body that only made it look pretty.
A small smile bloomed on Seraphina's lips as she found the little creature extremely cute. However, her smile was reciprocated with a frown. "What are you staring at?" The little thing asked in that haughty tone. Seraphina was sure that if it had hands, then it would have folded them across its little body while looking at her as if it was her boss.
"Keep talking to me in that tone and I will drop you on this very beautiful floor." She threatened the little thing in her angelic voice.
"Don't!"
The fluff ball immediately shrieked in panic. Just like Seraphina had guessed, it was afraid of getting dirty, and honestly, even she would be afraid of getting dirty if she was as cute as the little thing.
"So, you are that system the Council members told me about?" She asked even though she already knew the answer. Her gaze shifted from the little thing to the wrist of her right hand where a small but beautiful symbol was visible. Before she left the Headquarters of Afterlife Council, one of the members carved that symbol on her wrist and told her that it was the system that they had prepared to aid her in the mission.
"Right. I'm System 2024. I will be providing you with assistance during this long journey of bringing this dead city back to life." The little thing responded in a determined tone.
Seraphina gently placed the creature on her shoulder and felt its little bird-like-feet gripping her tightly so that it wouldn't fall. Once she was assured that it was safe on her shoulder, she moved forward and started removing the covers from the bed. The dust that greeted her made her cough while the little thing on her shoulder once again screeched. It quickly hid behind her hair and the veil.
Seraphina quickly dusted the bed to get rid of as much dust as was possible. She then quickly placed the new covers over the mattress and the pillows before she settled down on the bed and started taking off her jewelry and veil.
The little creature also jumped down from her shoulder and settled down on the fresh covers. "This is much better." It stated while rolling around in the covers.
Seraphina ignored it and looked around the dimly lit room. She desperately needed a bath and a pair of comfy pajamas so that she could sleep. However, she had nothing but a dusty room. At least, the bed was quite decent for her to sleep now.
She lay down on the bed on her back and while staring at the ceiling, she asked the system. "How are you supposed to work? I did see those daily tasks mentioned in my profile, what are they?"
The little thing jumped on Seraphina's belly and settled down there before it started explaining. "Every little work, that can be related to changing the current state of this city, is considered a task under the system. For example - cleaning the streets, planting trees, growing food and setting up stores, and other such tasks. However, a daily task is one that can be performed every day, like cleaning houses or selling products and such things. With every task you will complete, you will receive points. These points will help you in leveling up. With every level up, you will gain some rewards from the system that can help you in fulfilling your mission at a greater speed."
Seraphina nodded her head in understanding. It turned out that she could choose the daily tasks as per her comfort and requirements. "So, do you have a task for me?" She asked the fluff ball.
"Of course, get married first."
