Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Baybayin Academy of Arcane Arts

Rey had traveled back in time to stop the dark lord from ever rising to power, but he knew that he couldn't do it alone. He needed to find out who the dark lord was in this time frame, and he had a plan.

He decided to go undercover and infiltrate the wizarding community, hoping to gather information about the dark lord's identity and stop him before he could cause any harm.

As he made his way through the crowded streets of Manila, Rey couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. The city looked so different in this time period, yet there was still a sense of familiarity that he couldn't shake.

WEEKS LATER

Rey had spent countless hours poring over ancient tomes and dusty scrolls in his search for clues about the dark lord's identity. He was growing frustrated, but he refused to give up. He knew that he was the only one who could stop the dark lord from rising to power.

One day, as he was browsing through the stacks of an old library, he stumbled upon a book with a title that caught his eye: "Baybayin Academy: of Philippine Magic and Legacy" Curious, He sat down and began reading.

'Baybayin Academy of Arcane Arts was founded in the late 1800s by a group of Filipino wizards who wanted to create a school that would train and develop the magical abilities of young Filipinos. The founders believed that there was a great untapped potential for magic in the Philippines, and they wanted to harness this power to help the country thrive.

The academy is located in a secluded area of the Cordillera Mountains, surrounded by dense forests and towering mountains. The school's location was carefully chosen to provide a peaceful and serene environment where students could focus on their studies without distractions.

Baybayin Academy has a unique curriculum that incorporates traditional Filipino folklore and mythology into its teachings. Students are encouraged to explore their cultural heritage and incorporate it into their magical practice.

The school's faculty is made up of highly skilled and experienced wizards, many of whom are renowned in the magical community. They are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn and grow.

Baybayin Academy has produced many prominent wizards and witches over the years, including some who have gone on to become leaders in the magical world. The school continues to be a beacon of magical education and innovation, attracting students from all over the Philippines and beyond.'

As he flipped through the pages, he became increasingly intrigued. The school had a long and storied history, and it was known for producing some of the most powerful wizards in all of the Philippines.

Rey couldn't help but wonder if the dark lord had attended Baybayin Academy. It seemed like a logical possibility. After all, where better to learn the dark arts than at a prestigious school of magic?

He read on, his eyes scanning the page for any clues. And then he saw it - a photo of a Staff, the Staff of one of the founders, Leonor Montalvo, while it might seem unimportant, it looked like and had the same description of the dark lord's staff that matched the one he had encountered in his own time.

"This is it," Rey muttered to himself. "The dark lord must have attended Baybayin Academy. And given the time period, he should still be there."

He knew that he had to act fast. If he was going to stop the dark lord from rising to power, he needed to find him before it was too late.

Rey closed the book and stood up, determination in his eyes. "I need to go to Baybayin Academy," he said to himself. "I need to find the dark lord and stop him, no matter what it takes."

1 MONTH LATER.

After much planning, a fake name and a deaging ritual to blend in, Rey finally arrived at Baybayin Academy of Arcane Arts, his heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. He knew that this was his best chance of finding out who the dark lord was and stopping him before it was too late.

As he entered the school, he was greeted by a group of curious Staff members who were eager to learn more about him.

"Welcome to Baybayin Academy," said a young witch, her eyes sparkling with Curiosity. "My name is Maria. Can I help you with anything?"

Rey smiled warmly at them. "Yes, I'm looking to enroll in the academy," he said. "I want to learn more about Filipino magic and culture."

Maria looked at Him skeptically. "Are you a wizard?" she asked.

Rey nodded. "Yes, I am. I come from a long line of Filipino wizards, and I want to learn more about my heritage."

Maria looked impressed. "Well, you've certainly come to the right place," she said. "We have a rich history of magic and culture here at Baybayin Academy." She then turned to a slightly older man at her side. "What do you think, Headmaster?" She asked.

The Man turned to him and said "I have no doubt you will be a great wizard, you sound perfect for the academy. But before we can admit you, we must conduct a interview and background check on you. May I suggest we go to my office?" He said, Rey nodded, the rest of the staff went on with there normal, while Silently wondering why a new student would go here so late.

The 2 got to the office, sat down, and the interview began."What is your name?" He Asked. "My Name is Diego Ramire." Rey replied. It took him awhile to decide a name but he managed to make one.It has a Spanish and Filipino sound to it, which would blend in well with the local population, and it's a fairly common name so it wouldn't draw too much attention.

"Why would you want to attend this school, especially now, you look about 15, you graduate from the school at 21, why would you want to join this late?" He asked, curious.

"I'm sorry for enrolling so late, sir. I actually come from a long line of wizards, but my family moved away when I was young, and I wasn't able to attend Baybayin Academy at the usual age. I've always regretted not being able to learn more about my heritage and hone my magical abilities. That's why I'm here now, hoping to make up for lost time and receive the education I always wanted." Rey Replied, hoping it was believable.

The Headmaster simply smiled and said "No need to apologize my boy, I perfectly understand. Now for my next question...."

AFTER THE INTERVIEW

The Headmaster up and said "My boy, After this interview, I find you the perfect candidate for the school. Here is your letter with all your school supplies. Now, You can find your supplies in Liwanag Avenue, School starts between late August and Early September. The exact date is unknown because it may vary from year to year but, you can expect to return here around that time period." Rey quickly thanked the headmaster and left, heading back to his house, smiling, soon he will find out who the dark lord was and put a stop to his evil shenanigans.

DARK LORD'S TIME.

The Dark Lord sat in his throne, his eyes burning with fury as he stared at the screen in front of him. On the screen was a video feed from his time machine, showing Rey entering the machine and disappearing into the past. How could this have happened? How could someone have infiltrated his time machine?

Suddenly, the door to his lair burst open and one of his loyal followers rushed in, panting heavily.

"Master, we've received some new information," the follower gasped out. "Diego Ramire, the wizard from your school days, matches the description of the intruder who got into the time machine."

The dark lord's face twisted into a wicked grin. "Ah, Diego Ramire. I remember him well," he said, his voice filled with malice. "It seems that I can still win this battle, even if it's indirectly."

He turned to his loyal follower. "Send out orders to all my legions across the Philippines and Malaysia," he commanded. "Tell them to search for any signs of Diego Ramire and to hunt down any members of the Avalanche resistance. We cannot let them interfere with my plans."

The follower nodded and rushed out of the lair to carry out the dark lord's orders.

The dark lord sat down on his throne, his mind racing with thoughts of revenge. He knew that this was his chance to finally rid himself of his enemies and cement his place as the ruler of the wizarding world. And he would stop at nothing to achieve his goals.
