Diego Ramire (Rey) arrived in Brunei under the cover of darkness. He had come to meet with the leaders of the local resistance and discuss their next move. The looming threat of invasion from Malaysia and the Philippines had brought them together, and they were determined to do everything in their power to protect their homeland.
As he made his way through the deserted streets, Diego couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. The air was thick with the smell of smoke, and the distant sound of gunfire echoed through the night.
Finally, he arrived at the designated meeting point, where a group of heavily armed men and women were waiting for him. They greeted him warmly, but there was a sense of urgency in their voices.
"We don't have much time," one of them said, a fierce-looking woman with a scar across her cheek. "The Malaysians and Filipinos are closing in. We need to act fast if we're going to protect our people."
Diego nodded grimly. "I'm here to help in any way I can."
They discussed their plans in hushed tones, weighing their options and trying to anticipate their enemies' next move. As they talked, Diego couldn't help but notice the way the others looked at him. There was a sense of awe in their eyes, as if they knew something he didn't.
Finally, one of the leaders turned to him and spoke. "Diego, we've heard about your powers. We know that you have the ability to control one of the elements."
Diego raised an eyebrow. "That's true. I can control fire."
The others nodded, as if they had been expecting him to say that. "Interesting," the scarred woman said. "That's a powerful gift. You must have come from one of the elemental houses."
Diego hesitated for a moment, then decided to play along. "Actually, I did. I come from the house of the winds."
The others exchanged looks, clearly surprised by his answer. "The house of the winds?" one of them repeated. "That's a rare one. Not many people can control air."
Diego smiled slightly. "I've always been a bit of an oddity."
Their conversation was cut short by the sound of a gunshot outside. They rushed to the windows and looked out, just in time to see a group of invaders storming towards them. "We have to go," Diego said. "Take the civilians on those ships and out of here. I'll hold them off as long as I can."
They nodded, and the group split into two. One half started ushering the Brunei citizens to safety, while the other readied their weapons to face the oncoming threat.
Diego could feel his heart pounding as he stepped outside, the cool night air hitting him like a physical blow. He raised his hands, and a burst of flame erupted from his palms, illuminating the dark street. The invaders hesitated for a moment, clearly taken aback by his sudden display of power.
It was enough for the resistance fighters to launch their attack. The air was filled with the sound of gunfire and the clash of swords, as they fought tooth and nail to protect their land. Diego fought alongside them, his powers lending them an edge they desperately needed.
In the end, they were victorious. The invaders were driven back, and the people of Brunei were safe for the time being. But as Diego looked out at the wreckage around him, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. They had won this battle, but the war was far from over.
As he turned to leave, he saw a lone figure watching him from the shadows. It was one of the enemy agents, he was sure of it.
New York
The United Nations Security Council meeting was in full swing, with delegates from all over the world filling the large conference room. The topic of discussion was the ongoing conflict in Southeast Asia. The room fell into a tense silence as the United Nations Secretary-General called the meeting to order.
"Good afternoon, esteemed representatives. Today, we have gathered to discuss the recent developments in Southeast Asia and the growing concerns regarding the puppet governments in Malaysia and the Philippines."
The Malaysian representative quickly interjected, "I must interrupt you, Secretary-General. There is no such thing as a puppet government in Malaysia. We are a sovereign nation and we do not take kindly to such accusations."
The Philippine representative nodded in agreement. "I must echo my colleague's sentiments. The Philippines is a democratic nation, and we have always abided by the principles of free and fair elections. There is no evidence to suggest otherwise."
A wave of murmurs erupted throughout the room, and the Secretary-General raised his hand to restore order. "We are not here to point fingers or make accusations. We are here to find a solution to the ongoing crisis in the region. It is imperative that we work together to find a peaceful resolution."
The Malaysian representative shook his head. "We have nothing to resolve, Secretary-General. These allegations are baseless, and we refuse to entertain them any longer."
The Philippine representative spoke up, "If I may, Secretary-General. The Philippines has always been a friend to the United Nations, and we value our relationship with the international community. We assure you that there is nothing to worry about in our country."
The tension in the room continued to escalate, and the United Nations representatives exchanged worried glances. It was clear that the Malaysian and Philippine representatives were not going to budge on their stance.
Suddenly, the doors to the conference room burst open, and a group of Brunei refugees and Avalanche members stormed in. They were shouting and frantically trying to get the attention of the United Nations representatives.
The Secretary-General stood up, "What is the meaning of this? Who are you?"
One of the Avalanche members stepped forward, " We are the avalanche, a resistance group fighting against the regime of the dictator in southeast Asia. We come with urgent news from Brunei. The country has been attacked by the Philippines and Malaysia. There are innocent people being killed and injured as we speak. We need your help."
The Malaysian and Philippine representatives exchanged worried glances, knowing that the jig was up. The UN representatives demanded an explanation.
"You two, what is the meaning of this act of violence from your countries?!" The Indonesian representative yelled. but before they could respond, the Filipino representative suddenly pulled out a gun and shot the representative from Singapore.
Panic erupted throughout the room as the Filipino representative fled, engaging in a shootout with the UN security forces before managing to escape. The Malaysian representative, realizing the gravity of the situation, surrendered and submitted to interrogation.
The United Nations representatives were left reeling, trying to process the shocking events that had just transpired. It was clear that the crisis in Southeast Asia was far from over. The Thailand representative spoke up, his voice filled with urgency. "We cannot let this situation continue any longer. This has gone right under our radar for too long. We must act now before it's too late. I propose that we form an emergency alliance to combat this dictator and his puppet governments."
The other members of the UN listened intently as the representative continued. "We can't do this alone, we need to work together. We need to put our differences aside and come together for the greater good. We need to form a peace treaty that ensures the safety and sovereignty of all nations involved. We need an emergency force to intervene when necessary and to ensure that this situation never happens again."
The room was silent for a moment as the proposal sank in. Finally, the representative of France spoke up. "I agree with our Thai colleague. This situation is grave and we must take immediate action. I propose we call this alliance the Global Emergency Response Coalition (GERC)."
The other members of the UN nodded in agreement, and the Thai representative continued. "The GERC will work together to combat this dictator and his puppet governments, and to ensure that the rights of all people are respected. We must act quickly and decisively, for the sake of our future."
The meeting continued as the members of the UN discussed the proposal and what actions they could take to combat the dictator and protect the sovereignty of all nations involved. It was a long and difficult discussion, but they all knew that they had to work together if they wanted to achieve their goal. After a while the French representative stood up again.
"All in favor of the formation of the Global Emergency Response Coalition?" He asked. The vote passed with 75%, they kept an eye out on who didn't vote on it. Especially North Korea and China, considering how close they are to the targeted area. "All who wish to join?" The Thai rep asked.

MANILA
The Filipino representative walked into the dark lord's office with a heavy heart. He had just returned from the UN meeting in New York and knew he had failed his mission. "What happened? Did the UN agree to help us?" the dark lord asked eagerly.
The representative shook his head. "No, they didn't. They formed a new alliance called GERC, and they're planning to take action against you."
The dark lord's eyes narrowed. "Failed me, you have. Guards, take him away."
The representative's heart sank as the guards grabbed him by the arms and dragged him out of the room. He didn't know where they were taking him, but he knew it couldn't be good.
As he was being taken away, the dark lord turned on the TV and watched as the news anchors reported on the recent activities of the UN.
The news anchor appeared on the screen, "Good evening, breaking news today as the United Nations held an emergency meeting to discuss the recent military aggression in Brunei by the Philippines and Malaysia. The meeting was interrupted by Brunei refugees and members of the resistance group, Avalanche, who provided evidence of the invasion. The Filipino representative, in a shocking turn of events, pulled out a gun and shot the Singapore representative before fleeing. The Malaysian representative has surrendered for questioning."
The news anchor paused for a moment before continuing, "In response to the invasion, the UN has announced the formation of a new alliance, the Global Emergency Response Coalition, which includes several nations from Southeast Asia. The coalition aims to combat the rise of dictators and protect the rights of smaller nations."
The screen shifted to footage of the UN meeting, with various world leaders discussing the formation of the coalition. The news anchor's voice continued in the background, "The coalition has already gained widespread support from nations across the region, including Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. This marks a significant step in the fight against dictators and human rights abuses."
The anchor continued, "The resolution was passed with a majority vote, with only a few nations voting against it. These nations include North Korea, Russia, and China, among others. However, the vast majority of the international community has rallied behind this cause, showing their support for a brighter future."
The dark lord sat back in his chair, contemplating the news. He knew that this would complicate his plans for regional domination. But then, an idea struck him, and he turned to his advisors, "We need a new ally in the east. Someone who can help us counter the threat of the GERC. I believe it's time we reach out to North Korea.Get me a line to the North Koreans," he barked at his secretary. "I have an offer they won't be able to refuse."
The secretary nodded and quickly dialed a number on the phone. "Yes, hello," the dark lord said when the call was answered. "I have a proposal for your leader. It could be mutually beneficial for both of us."
