Chapter 29 - Training Her

Saverio's eyes had now been fixed on the system before him. His palm which was previously on the side of his forehead had been brought down, displaying a wide cut on his skin which was accentuated by both dried and fresh blood. He looked rather scary as a few drops of blood balanced on one of his eyes but he cared less.

Leon looked with his side vision at his boss before roaming through the high cabinet for the first aid box, when he saw it, he took it out and swiftly dropped it on his desk without making any sound.

Saverio on the other hand put on his earpiece and had begun to check through the system to inquire if there could be a reason for an ordinary airsoft revolver to put someone in a very insidious situation despite the fake weapon being considered legal.

However, his curiosity towards his new secretary had been piqued especially because of whatever had transpired, he decided to check his screen and check if she actually had ulterior motives for applying as a secretary. He wanted to know what she was doing now and what she was saying to herself after having successfully hurt him badly with a fake gun.

He was still confused about why his body was reacting like a human's. Even at the beginning, even if there was any cut, the blood should have stopped and the cut should have healed after some seconds but now he was even suffering as a result of the pain, however, before he could notice that the screen which was expected to show her office was blank, he heard Leon call his attention and he looked up at him, brows still perfectly sharpened into a frown.

"Boss, this is the first aid box and I-"

However, before he could complete his words, Leon's mind skipped yet again when his boss pointed the airsoft revolver at him again. He could have laughed but then, he was aware that his boss was angry but why was he repeating this? Hadn't he tested this on him before?

Leon didn't delay further, "Boss, what are you doing? If at all you are in the mood to practice, we can do so after you have rested a while."

Saverio's face looked blank as he replied to his secretary, "I think I didn't pull the trigger well enough."

Leon blinked but before he could steady himself, another loud shot was heard and this time, it did sting his forehead. The injury was a little worse than a scratch. Though it wasn't that painful, Leon feigned a hurtful groan, "Boss... it surely did hurt this time around." He didn't want another.

Saverio wasn't satisfied, however, it was pointless to keep playing with a fake gun while letting his secretary serve as his specimen, especially when he knew that what he was doing was abruptly sending off his secretary who had successfully agreed not to go yet when his new secretary had not been accustomed to her duties.

"Leon," he said but Leon couldn't watch him bleeding any longer. He had already opened the first aid box and started the cleansing of his boss's injury ignoring his own injury. Saverio asked, "Don't you think she is gifted?"

Leon knew that his boss was being sarcastic, so he refused to answer his rhetorical question and softly applied the methylated spirit.

Saverio was still in deep thought as Leon cared for his injury. If anyone else, especially Saverio's supposed fans saw a captured image of their compromising stance, they would have been saddened that the rumour about the most handsome CEO being a gay was true after all.

He broke the silence when Leon was done applying the plaster. He said to him, "Don't you think she is gifted? I think she needs to be put into training as soon as possible."

Leon blinked for a while before registering his boss's sentence.

What he meant by training... training her to become his bodyguard at the same time. Leon wasn't entirely surprised about that, in fact, he had also received serious training as his secretary but then, his training didn't start the exact day he resumed work. He started training after several months and that was after he had gotten accustomed to some things that were important.

"Mr Saverio," Leon started, his voice a little hoarse since he didn't agree with it. Not that he was jealous but by a bit, he was. It was as if she was more competent than him but still, it was rather far from the reason he highly suggested against it.

This woman had barely learnt anything necessary for her job. She wasn't even an acting secretary yet because Mr Saverio didn't allow her to for reasons best known to him or for the rather obvious reason about her gender.

However, whatever Leon was about to hear from his boss was something unexpected.

He said, with a controlled anger, "Bring that stupid woman here!"
