??? Pov:
"Finally, an exciting mission," I mutter under my breath. It's quite rare for me to get missions in the human world, they're only given to well-known angels. But unlike them, I'm confident to say that I'm much more competent and worthy of this job. It shouldn't be too hard.
My mission takes place in a public high school, there were many sightings of ghosts and unwanted spirits that have been causing quite a ruckus there these past few days. My job is to eliminate them all before they cause too much trouble to humans.
I walked down the hallways of the school, scanning and investigating every corner and classroom I came across. Classes start in about 10 minutes, I don't have that much time to look around, I must get to class.
The introduction time came, and I had to formally introduce myself to the entire class as a new student. The room was full of people and I suddenly felt a strong sense of uneasiness as I entered the classroom. I've never been the type to feel uncomfortable or unsettled in a crowded space, so this was a first for me. But I quickly realized why this was happening, I felt the presence of something evil, the aura of a sinister being, something not of this world. It was too strong to be a ghost or a spirit and too pure to be another angel. It was a demon, and I knew exactly where it was.
It was sitting in the back row of the classroom near a window, blankly staring at me with anger in its eyes. We locked eyes for a moment and he scowled at me. "My name is Tenshi," I said with a slight stutter, no one informed me that there was going to be a demon in this school, it disguised as a human too.
Everyone stared at me as I fumbled my words trying desperately to introduce myself believably. Everyone clapped and smiled as I walked to my seat, in the same row as the demon. This is going to be an inconvenience.
Although I feel confident about my abilities and powers, I don't think I possess the strength and energy to take on a demon. I'm also unsure of its rank, so depending on how strong it is I might need the help of a higher-up, and the idea of that made my eyes roll.
I loved my job, helping humans in need and being the kind and strong-willed protector that the earth desperately needs is something I enjoy doing. But there's a limit to everything. I wasn't sure if I was willing to put my safety and well-being behind for this, I'm aware of my inability to perish but still.
After some thought and a lot of yelling from the teacher about me not paying enough attention, I finally decided how I was going to go about this. I am an angel, and therefore I must fulfill any task I am given no matter the difficulty or the risk. Whatever my job entails I must complete it with perfection. I decided to battle this demon and ward him off from school for good. This was going to be no easy task, but with enough caution and strategy, I'm sure it'll be simple.

Ryu pov:
An angel joining our school is the last thing I wanted to happen to me. I noticed Hanako's eyes stealing glances every so often, just when I thought I got her all to myself someone else decides to interfere.
The presence of an angel in the school is concerning but not as concerning as my master when he finds out that the angels are interfering with human lives. We have worked all these decades and centuries to fight the angels, nothing annoys demons more than them trying to ruin our plans, my plans and particular. I was not about to let a weak filthy creature like him get in my way.
All these days I've been trying so hard to keep a low profile and avoid any type of altercations or fights with anyone, I will work as hard as I could just to make sure that this angel doesn't get in my way.
Hanako and Tenshi kept staring at each other, every time they locked eyes It made me feel unsettled. I was getting angrier by the second and more frustrated. After a few boring infuriating classes, it was about time for lunch.
Ever since the lunchtime incident that happened to Hanako not so long ago, I've always stuck by her side, especially throughout this period. The cafeteria is full of people, and more people means more potential danger that threatens to cause harm to her.
We walked together towards a table. Hanako took a seat and I sat next to her on the same bench, and just when I thought we were finally safe and alone, her annoying loud friend walks over. "Hey, guys! Eating lunch without me?" Hina...
"Hey, Hina!" Hanako says softly, not noticing the look of utter frustration and anger on my face. She sits down in front of us, uninvited, and starts eating. I hate high-energy extroverted people like her. They put so little effort into being decent lovable friends yet no one seems to care. And just when I thought this situation couldn't get any worse, Tenshi decides to join in, taking a seat next to Hanako from the other side of the bench.
I glance at him and he smiles coldly and starts chatting with Hanako. Anger started to fill my body all of a sudden, nothing else mattered, and no one else mattered. I hoped at this very moment that these 2 idiots would be swallowed by the earth so they would leave me be. Hanako was so preoccupied with them that she forgot I even existed. I'm not about to let her ignore me.

Hanako pov:
It's always nice to have some new friends, it makes you feel a refreshing sense of happiness. Tenshi was nice, in every sense of the word. His voice was a soothing deep voice, and his hair was long and white, almost like silk running down his neck. His eyes were a bright blue color that could be seen from across the room, his skin pale and his mouth curved into the sweetest warmest smile. I got carried away while talking to him, he seemed to know so much about so many things.
I was startled for a moment when I felt a sudden strong grip on my wrist, it was Ryu. He held onto my wrist tightly and dragged me across the cafeteria to the exit and took me to an empty corner of the school as I questioned him. We stopped at a dead end with the lights burned out and the lockers wide open, it was empty and quiet, unlike the loud bustling atmosphere of the cafeteria.
He suddenly pushed me towards a locker and put his face close to mine while cupping my face with both his hands, my violet eyes locked with his red ones "What are you planning Hanako?" He asked
My eyes widened at his actions and for a moment, I couldn't form a single sentence.
But after arranging the set of words I wanted to use, I finally spoke "What are you talking about?" He Frowned "You know what I'm talking about" Ryu paused "That Tenshi guy, what are you guys up to?" What? Why is he asking about Tenshi, I wasn't dumb enough not to realize that he's been staring at him weirdly for the past few hours but I couldn't for the life of me figure out why.
He seemed like a normal guy to me, quite better than normal in fact. "Why do you care?" I asked, trying to tease him. His eyebrows straightened and he stared at me coldly "Shut up and just tell me, don't ask about anything else." "I'm not telling you, it's none of your business," I said firmly. His grip on my face tightened as I tried to push him away. "Let me go, Ryu, Tenshi is my new friend and there's nothing you can do about-" I was cut off when Ryu suddenly kissed me.
My eyes widened and my jaw dropped as he pulled his lips away from mine. He stared at me with a frustrated look "You just never shut up do you?" His cheeks and his long ears were a bright shade of red as he quickly walked away, to the cafeteria. What the hell just happened?

Ryu pov:
I do not regret what I just did, she needed to know that I'm not okay with Tenshi being around her and there was one way to go about it. Not only is he an angel, which makes him dangerous to me, but he's also got a basic and annoying personality from what I can tell. I need to get rid of him before he does something stupid.
After school, me and Hanako walked home in silence. It wasn't our usual comfortable silence, it was awkward and embarrassing. Every time I tried to speak, an overwhelming sense of shame takes over and I can never get a single word out of my mouth.
After my multiple failed attempts of trying to start a conversation, the silence was finally broken. Not by me or Hanako, but by the person that ruined it all, that goddamn angel.
"Hanako wait!" He yelled out as he ran towards us. She looked back to face him and I saw a faint smile on her face.
I cringed at the sight in front of me, I can not believe this. You're telling me I embarrassed myself and got through all these thoughts and conversation attempts just for her to go back to him once again? I felt my blood boil as he walked between her and me, I couldn't do anything at this point. He was trying to take away my place, I knew his plan from the start.
Angels' jobs are to ward evil away from humans, and demons are considered evil entities to them. He was trying to separate me from my human, to 'save' her. I know, some demons probably deserve to be separated from their humans in severe cases, some of their actions can be truly horrifying and inexcusable. But I'm sure there are a million ways to prove that I'm not one of those lowly creatures.
We walked ahead for a bit and Hanako said she wanted a snack. We encountered a store with a few vending machines and she quickly ran towards one to pick something to eat. I clenched my fists as I saw him running behind her, and so I had to do the same. We stood in front of a machine and Hanako chose her snack, and just when she was about to slide her coin inside the dedicated slot. She was stopped by Tenshi, who offered to pay for her. Alright, that's it. That is where I draw the line.
Sometimes when I'm bored, I like to watch drama shows with Hanako when she decided to turn on some. I always thought the characters there are completely delusional, but one thing I've learned is that no man lets anyone take a girl away from him. He was about to slide his coin in when I grabbed his wrist, almost breaking his bones.
He shrieked in pain as I smashed the glass of the vending machine with my other hand and grabbed the snack out of its slot while keeping eye contact with him. He was in a state of complete shock, and so was Hanako. I threw her the snack and disappeared, he'll pay for the broken vending machine if he wants to prove to her that he's better than me
