"Hey, you are up early". Vanessa smiled at David who came into the kitchen where she was trying to make breakfast. He smiled and leaned against the kitchen doorway. He was looking handsome with his black hair down to his shoulder and bluer eyes.
"You should have woken me to do it. You still need to rest". He scolded.
"Nah, I'm better. I hate morning sleep and you know it. Unless, of course, you forgot".
"Why would I?"
"I don't know, or maybe living with another woman apart from me has...".
David took a step closer to her and frowned. "What are you trying to say? Where is all this coming from?"
