"Till I Found You"
Hazel's POV
That was it, it took just 5 seconds to change everything.
I stared hard at Bryan as he lay comfortably under the sheets with my own best friend.
My own freaking best friend
I didn't say anything to both of them. Instead, I just walked out holding my tears, waiting for my fiancee to follow me and explain that I misunderstood the whole situation I had just witnessed.
Guess what, he didn't. I waited and he didn't even come.
I let the tears freely flow as I finally didn't see him. It was a bit choking holding them anyway.
I had just lost the so-called love of my life to my own best friend.
Bryan and I had been dating for two years. I felt like I had my fairytale life with him. I thought I had a simple happy life every girl wanted one that had love and comfort and all that. Love which I supposedly found in Bryan and comfort from my well-paying job as a writer for a popular publishing firm.
It was just all too hard to bear, I worked to get all that even Bryan who had found interest in me after rejecting his advances several times. I guess I should have never accepted him. But the problem is if I didn't I wouldn't have gotten the motivation and my job, Bryan had given both to me, at least that was what I thought.
I finally stood up from my tear soaked bed and dragged myself to the kitchen to at least eat something, I hadn't eaten long before I saw them because I was getting a wedding dress for my supposed wedding.
How ironic right.
I walked to the kitchen in sloppy steps and lazily reached out to the fridge.
I hiccuped slightly in tears as I spotted the wine I was supposed to drink with Bryan that night.
That was it, I slumped down to the floor in another round of tears.
I don't know how long I had been on the floor because I somehow managed to sleep there but that was cut short by my doorbell ring.
I yawned and stretched myself, not bothering to open it.
But I did eventually open it, after several annoying rings later.
I stood up not bothering to fix myself a bit because I didn't need to look good for anyone at the moment.
I looked with a straight face at the man in front of me.
" I was told to give you this, Miss Thornton", he finally said while handing me a lilac envelope.
I would have asked who it was, but I didn't want to talk with anyone, especially a stranger.
I quickly closed the door in his face as soon as I collected it.
I held my chest as I looked at the handwriting on the envelope, it was Bryan's.
I quickly opened it and brought out a wedding card, it wasn't our wedding card. It was his wedding card with his name and my ex best friend.
They were seriously inviting me to their wedding.
This was it, I had finally lost it.
