> > Edith Leroy:

[January 6th, 1941]

[00:00:00]

Edith: "Me…? What do I think about Ines?"

Clèmence: "Yes."

[Long silence]

Edith: "I think she's a sweet child."

Clèmence: "Noted. Anything else?"

Edith: "Well… No, not really. Well- yes, actually, I do hope that Ines makes a friend or two- she seems lonely. I think she gets along with Charlotte, I hope they become friends."

Clèmence: "Noted. Thank you for answering, you may leave, Sister Edith."

>> Rosalie [REDACTED]:

[January 6th, 1941]

[00:00:00]

Rosalie: "What did you need me for, Madam Clèmence?"

Clèmence: "What are your thoughts on the new child, Ines?"

[Silence]

Rosalie: "…Pardon? Come again? Who?" [Awkward Laughter]

Clèmence: "The child whom you encountered outside my office, Sister Rosalie."

Rosalie: "Oh! I apologize, but I don't have much of an opinion on her."

Clèmence: "Anything will suffice."

Rosalie: "Okay, then well… I thought she looked really frail—even my younger brother was bigger than her when he was five years old. What else—oh, yes, well… She didn't appear to be scared of the sight of blood unlike the other children. That's all I have to say about her."

[Incoherent background noises]

Clèmence: "Noted. Thank you for your response, Sister Rosalie, you may leave now."

>> Lilian [REDACTED]:

[January 6th, 1941]

[00:00:00]

Clèmence: "Sister Lilian, what are your thoughts on Ines?"

[Scoff]

Lilian: "Her? Nothing."

Clèmence: "Sister Lilian, please cooperate with me. I'd like for you to list any thoughts you have about her."

[Incoherent speaking]

Clèmence: "Come again? Please repeat that."

Lilian: "Pitiful, I suppose. I doubt she and Madam Yvette are blood-related. She was really nervous like some stray animal, it was almost laughable how tense she was when speaking with me."

Clèmence: "Noted. Did you select her to be a part of the White Lily?"

Lilian: "Me? No, I didn't."

Clèmence: "Noted. Can you tell me what Ines is like whilst at the White Lily?"

[Silence]

Clèmence: "Sister Lilian?"

Lilian: "Pardon me, I was thinking before. She's a quiet child and isn't very rowdy. I haven't seen her speak to anyone other than Charlotte, Noémie, and Odette."

Clèmence: "Noted. What are her relationships like with the other children you mentioned?"

Lilian: "She and Charlotte seem to get along, though I can't say the same for her and Noémie. Odette? Mm, I'm not sure about their relationship."

[Scribbling noises]

Clémence: "Noted. Has Ines displayed any violent or odd behavior?"

Lilian: "Violent behavior? No, she hasn't. As for 'odd,' well, I suppose she has."

Clémence: "Please describe that in further detail."

Lilian: "On the nights where I patrol the White Lily, I occasionally hear noises and whispers from their room, W-26."

Clémence: "Why do you find that odd? As you said, aren't Ines and Charlotte friends? They might have been talking, no?"

Lilian: "No, it was midnight. Charlotte has always slept before all the other children as she likes to wake up early at dawn—I doubt they were talking either as it was only one person speaking."

Clémence: "Noted. Please continue and describe what that person was saying."

Lilian: "I'm not exactly sure. It wasn't a language I'm fluent in, but I've never heard such words before."

Clémence: "Noted."

Lilian: "Is that all? As I've said, I don't have much of an opinion on her. What she does is none of my business, I'm merely the head of the White Lily."

[Scribbling noises]

Clémence: "Yes, you're free to go. Thank you for your responses, Sister Lilian."
