Ji-Soo and Min-Jae arrived at her family's home to find chaos. Her father had been hospitalized after a car accident, and her mother was frantically trying to take care of everything on her own.
Ji-Soo immediately sprang into action, helping her mother with tasks around the house and taking care of her younger siblings. Min-Jae did what he could to help, but he felt like he was just getting in the way.
As the day wore on, Ji-Soo and Min-Jae found themselves alone in the kitchen, washing dishes.
"I'm sorry you had to come all the way out here for this," Ji-Soo said, breaking the silence.
"Don't be silly, I wanted to help," Min-Jae replied, smiling at her.
Ji-Soo felt her heart skip a beat at his smile. She knew that she was falling harder and harder for him every day.
As they finished the dishes, they were interrupted by the sound of Ji-Soo's mother calling for them.
"Ji-Soo, Min-Jae, come quickly!" her mother shouted.
They rushed to the living room, where her father was awake and sitting up in his hospital bed.
"Ji-Soo, Min-Jae, I need to talk to you," her father said, his voice weak.
Ji-Soo and Min-Jae exchanged worried glances before sitting down on either side of her father's bed.
"I know that you two have feelings for each other," her father said, his eyes moving between them.
Ji-Soo's face turned bright red, and Min-Jae shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"I just want you to know that I approve," her father continued. "I can see that you make each other happy, and that's all that matters to me."
Ji-Soo and Min-Jae looked at each other, their hearts swelling with emotion.
"Thank you, Dad," Ji-Soo said, tears prickling at the corners of her eyes.
"Thank you, sir," Min-Jae added, his voice choked with emotion.
As they left the hospital room, Ji-Soo and Min-Jae felt like they were walking on air. They knew that they had each other's families' blessings, and that they were meant to be together.
Little did they know that their newfound happiness would be short-lived, as new obstacles and challenges would arise in their journey together.
