The morning after their drunken antics, Ji-Soo and Min-Jae woke up with pounding headaches and aching bodies. They both groaned as they slowly sat up, memories of the previous night flooding back.
Ji-Soo couldn't believe what had happened. She had always been the responsible one, the one who never let loose and had fun. But here she was, waking up next to Min-Jae, the man she had secretly been in love with for years.
Min-Jae, on the other hand, was feeling a mix of emotions. On one hand, he was thrilled that he had finally kissed Ji-Soo and that they had shared such an intimate moment. On the other hand, he was worried that things might be awkward between them now.
As they got out of bed and stumbled towards the kitchen, they both tried to act casual, but it was clear that they were both feeling uncomfortable.
"Um, coffee?" Min-Jae offered, holding up the coffee pot.
Ji-Soo nodded gratefully, and they sat in silence at the kitchen table, sipping their coffee and avoiding each other's gaze.
Suddenly, the awkwardness was broken by the sound of Ji-Soo's phone ringing. She jumped up to answer it, relieved for the distraction.
"Hello?" she answered, trying to keep her voice steady.
"Ji-Soo, it's your mother," came the voice on the other end of the line.
Ji-Soo's heart sank. Her mother was always the one to ruin a good moment. She listened as her mother rambled on about some family emergency and how they needed to come home immediately.
After she hung up, Ji-Soo turned to Min-Jae. "I have to go home. My family needs me."
Min-Jae nodded, understandingly. "Do you want me to come with you?"
Ji-Soo hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. "Yes, please."
They quickly got dressed and packed their bags, ready to face whatever emergency awaited them. As they left the apartment, Ji-Soo felt grateful to have Min-Jae by her side, even if things were a bit awkward between them.
Little did they know that the family emergency would bring them even closer together and lead to even more hilarious and romantic moments in their future.
