Minos didn't know what Nux Crystals were, but he didn't want to sound ignorant, so he instead pulled out a Shining Talisman and said.
"How much for this thing?"
"Hmm, the Shining Talisman isn't very popular, so we can only offer 1 Nux Crystal."
"Only one? How about a Fireball Talisman?"
"Oh, those are much more liked, so we can do five instead."
"Alright, then I'll trade two Fireball Talisman." Minos said, as he handed them over.
The young woman smiled as she took them before heading into a storage room in the back. Soon enough, she came back with a large scroll, handing it off to Minos.
"What else do you have here?" Minos asked.
"Everything you need, young master." She replied with confidence.
"How about a mid-level Lock Breaking Pill?"
"Of course, but that'll cost five Nux Stones or five hundred Nux Crystals."
"How about talisman paper and beast ink?"
"For talisman paper, it's one Nux Crystal for ten pieces. Meanwhile, for the beast ink, it depends what type you need. If it's Earth Hog beast ink, then it'll cost five Nux Crystals for a jar."
Minos nodded, and decided to trade two more Fireball Talisman for 50 sheets of talisman paper and one jar of Earth Hog beast ink.
The type strength of the beast killed for the ink naturally determines its value. Also, different beasts work best with different talismans.
For example, a Fireball Talisman made with the blood ink of a Magma Viper would be much stronger than a conventional one.
Meanwhile, the Earth Hog was a neutral beast of low strength, which meant its blood worked with all talisman's, but granted no bonuses to any.
After making this trade, there was still one more thing Minos wanted to ask. "Do you guys have any books on auxiliary professions, like talisman making?"
"Of course, but we only have the basics. If you want anything more advanced, you'll likely have to wait for an auction or to get it elsewhere."
"What books do you have to offer then?"
"We have the basics of weapon refining, alchemy, formations, and even puppet refining, which isn't very popular."
"How much for all of them?"
"Hmm, let me think. It should cost you 175 Nux Crystals, or 1 Nux Stone and 75 Nux Crystals."
Minos didn't yet have enough talisman's to make the purchase, so he decided to just leave for the moment, but naturally he'd come back when he could afford it.
Arriving back at his room in the inn, he unraveled the large scroll of the Alephora continent on the bed.
The entire continent was tens of thousands of kilometers across, with the Underwood Mountain Range being on the far west of the continent, close to the ocean.
The entire continent was surrounded by a vast ocean, and if Minos trekked beyond the Underwood Mountain Range, he could reach it.
Of course, doing so would serve no purpose, instead Minos was more interested in heading towards the center of the continent, where the real powers of Alephora seemed to gather.
Given Minos's current strength however, the journey would likely take years, not to mention the danger he'd have to face along the way. So for the moment, he had no plans of traveling. There was still plenty to be done here, so there was no reason to get moving, at least not yet.
