Minos closed the map before tucking it away in his spatial ring. He laid back on his bed as he began formulating his future plan.
He ultimately decided to continue relying on talisman to earn Nux Crystals which he could use to buy more knowledge and pills to increase his strength with.
He would also use this new source of income to do some research, since he had plenty of ideas when it came to talismans.
For now however, the most important thing was to train the Soul Rune Ascension manual he had received earlier.
Sitting on his bed cross-legged, he began meditating on his Embryonic Rune. He felt a strange power pulsate out of it, slowly enhancing his soul.
Minos was already born with an incredibly powerful soul, so this all came very easily to him. He continued meditating, and soon, he felt as if he was hitting a strange barrier that kept his soul from getting stronger.
Minos wouldn't be stopped so easily, so he increased his strength, gathering all his energy to hit the barrier.
After countless hits, the barrier began shaking, and eventually it completely shattered, causing Minos soul to get a massive enhancement. The enhancement made Minos feel like he was floating, but he soon fell back down to earth.
The Embryonic Rune on his forehead had also split, causing a slightly smaller one to appear, orbiting the original one.
Minos was suddenly blessed, knowing he had gained access to a new soul ability with his breakthrough.
This ability was called Soul-Split, and it did exactly as it said. Minos could split his soul into two parts, allowing each to work independently of one another.
With every rune he split off from the original, he would gain one more soul split, and if he could reach the peak of nine soul runes, he would be able to split his soul into ten parts. Not only would it massively increase his soul strength, but the ability to act with ten different threads of thought at the same time was very powerful.
Minos let out a long exhale as he ended his cultivation session. His soul was beginning to feel slightly numb, so Minos knew he had to stop for the day.
Just like everything, regular cultivation of the body, cultivation of the soul is a gradual process of destruction and rebirth. The problem with soul cultivation being that it's incredibly hard to do the rebirth part.
For regular cultivation, just eating plenty of meat would help your body grow and get stronger, but soul cultivation wasn't that simple, instead requiring very rare soul treasures.

It was also why it was the core of this cultivation manual. Without it, you wouldn't be able to recover your soul as you damaged it, which would instead lead you closer and closer to death.
Minos opened his spatial ring as he took inventory of everything he had at the moment. 50 talisman paper, 8 Levitation Talisman's, 13 Shining Talisman's, 6 Fireball Talisman's, and 6 Ice Shard Talisman's.
He also still had the 3 Blood Wine Honey glasses that he had saved from the trial, but he could no longer drink them since the effect had already been lost.
Minos naturally could have sold them at the Nine Treasure House, but just based on the price of a mid-level Lock Breaking Pill, Minos could tell that this treasure would raise too many alerts.
One has to realize that even a mid-level Lock Breaking Pill has impurities, and after taking too many, one would be forced to spend years slowly purifying their bodies. Of course compared to the decades it would take to normally break through a Life Lock, that time was nothing.
But the Blood Wine Honey had no impurities, and even after downing two, Minos could still feel his body was impure, and in perfect condition, which meant he didn't have to go through any purification. With that in mind, and compared to the mid-level Lock Breaking Pill, Minos put the value of the Blood Wine Honey at around 50 Nux Stones, 10x the price of a mid-level Lock Breaking Pill.
