While Liam was hoping for the skill to be used again he also knew that something that powerful would have a massive cool down time.
After the Death Knight was recovered from it's weakness it started it charge at Liam again. As he has seen this plenty by now Liam had no trouble avoiding both charges, however he didn't expect a third. This didn't stop him from avoided the attack, but it reinforced in Liam's mind not to expect the monster to always do the same thing.
After it's third charge missed Death Knight quickly turned around and swung it's halberd in a overhead swing towards Liam. He managed to roll to the right side of the monster again before using his own weapon to get a few shots of his own in before the Death Knight came at him again.
After a little dodging and attacking Liam finally manage to drop the Death Knights health by 1000 points and a change occurred within the monster.
The Death Knight threw the halberd down and pulled out a new weapon. It was a scythe that was roughly 3.5 metres in length with a huge curved blade at the end. The blade itself was serrated along the inside edge and the whole blade was surrounded by flicker8ng purple flames.
Once the new weapon was revealed the Death Knight charged at its opponent and as it was getting close it swung the scythe in a half moon towards Liam.
Although the change in attack was too be expected with a new weapon Liam was still put slightly off guard as the scythe swing was very fast and he clumsily rolled out the way.
'Phew! Getting hit by that would eat through my HP.' Liam thought as he watch the scythe fly by him albeit too closely for comfort. He could feel the heat the flames on the blade were giving off making him thankful he dodged.
However he wasn't out of danger yet as the Death Knight did it's usual turn and charge and came at him again. This time instead of swinging it's scythe in and upward trajectory it decided to do the opposite. As Liam dodged the attack the scythe hit the ground but instead of bouncing off it continued cutting through it like paper. The flames were too hot for even the floor to withstand them.
A long line was left where the attack had passed and the lingering flicker of a flame meant Liam would not be able to stay there for risk of taking small damage.
Liam backed away from the area slightly so he could avoid the line as much as possible while diverting his attention back to the Death Knight who was coming at him once again. It swung it's scythe once then twice in front of it making a crossed shaped flame that flew at Liam with incredible speed. The heat was also bearing down on him but Liam managed to pull through and dodge the deadly attack by the skin of his teeth.
Liam was having trouble getting close to the Death Knight after it's weapon change. The monster seemed to have a faster attack speed and the scythe could cover ground that the halberd just couldn't.
Liam had to take a bit of a gamble as his fatigue was kicking in again and he knew he didn't have much left in the tank.
He used
The damage wasn't great but it started to add up as he continously went for the same leg while avoiding the swing of the scythe every time by rolling under the horse.
'Why didn't I do this before?' Although he thought this he already knew the answer. It was dangerous to constantly roll under the horse as he was prone to getting stamped on by one or more of its legs. However Liam couldn't care at the point, he was tired and needed to end the fight soon.
There was one silver lining though. Liam found out that attacking the same place constantly on a monster while had adverse affects for said monster. With the example of the horse, Liam has been attacking it's front left leg everytime he rolls under the horses body and now there was a visable limp in that leg.
Now while this won't affect the Death Knights attack power it's mobility will drop significantly and if Liam targeted a second leg the horse may struggle to move altogether.
With that thought in mind Liam went and targeted the left back leg. The hope was to perhaps topple the horse for a period of time so he could get some free shots in. It might even give him time to find a weak point. Better still as the weapon of the Death Knight was in its left hand, bringing it down on that side may even allow Liam to avoid being attacked.
