A few days had past and they had learned from Danny that unless you had permission from the soldiers or the mages they couldn't step out of the barrier otherwise they couldn't come back, it keeps things out but doesn't keep things inside so it stopped them from having any worries about Adam running off because they knew he didn't know who the mages are and Danny said he would make sure the guards wouldn't let him out, little did they know Danny would do no such thing, his entire plan was to keep Adam away, last he remembered he told Adam where Lita was but he did have anything in mind about Adam, Adam could get lost for all he cared.
Meanwhile as the days passed Adam continued to follow Lita around, joining her in training and leveling up, for Lita it was nice, for once she had an actual friend who didn't stick around for her body or to pick a fight or for anything other reason than to get stronger, the more she hung around with Adam the more fund she grew of him, he was aloof to his surroundings and did things freely and he was really passionate about training and getting stronger. One time she asked him why he wanted to be strong and he gave her a surprising answer
this whole apocalypse thing is ment to make us all evolve and get stronger, if we don't then we die, I've thought about it and me and my friends have a theory, by the end of all this, this god person would only pick the survivers or more accurately the strongest among us so that's reason enough to keep pushing and getting stronger
As the days went by Lita and Adam continued to train together, she found out about his system when he went through multiple evolution processes and found out what his ability was and how it was a little different from her own, she continued to practice her new power outside the wall when it was just her and Adam, she was slowly getting the hang of it, while Adam punched the zombies she would just focus on using her abilities, she noticed a few things
1) she could generate any amount of energy and at least for now, since she was keeping it a secret she couldn't really test out her limits yet
2) she could project energy beams to about ten meters depending on the amount she generated
3) Once she gets in contact with an energy source she could permanently generate it
Testing out her powers she generated heat energy in her body and focused it on her hands, generating a lot to the point her hands felt numb and almost to the point of exploding she released the energy and a huge stream of fire came out from both her palms like a flame thrower burning the zombies in front of her , she kept generating the energy an fire kept pouring out more and more getting bigger untile she stopped
That's amazing Adam said as he had stopped running around the walls
your getting better at your powers, a few days ago you could only through small to huge fire balls
I know right, now to try out electricity
wait what? Adam said surprised
Her body started shooting sparks of electricity, unlike the heat energy she felt a sense of shock as her hair on her head and body stood up and she could feel vibration within her. Staying focused she sent it towards her palms and released it, nothing happened only a few sparks in the air
What happened Adam asked
I don't know, I released the energy but nothing happened

she did it again but nothing happened, when Adam went to touch her a huge volt of electricity shook his body sending him flying
Adam she called out running to check on him but stopped as she didn't know what she did
I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose
I...I .kn...kno....know he said as he slowly struggled to get up, he looked like he just walked out of an explosion, luckily his skill kicked in healing his body from the shock

when I touched your shoulder I got shocked, I blacked out for a moment but luckily my body is healing, one of my skills saved me
what? how is that possible I was shooting it out from my hands
maybe it dispersed into the air or something
wait I think your right, the electrical energy, it dispersed when I released it and you got affected when touching me because now it had a direction it was going
if I want to utilize electricity as a long ranged attack then I would need to generate a large amount of electricity like a lightning bolt but for now I think I can test it out in some other ways she said as she looked at Adam

A few days had passed and now the gang had seen at least half the places around, the city was the entire capital of the state so it was huge but still they could now find they're way around, Adam had told them he just usually hangs around with Lita, not telling them any more details as he knew they wouldn't let him train with her again. So for the next week and few days it was usually Danny and Nikita training while Sarah was being escorted by Romeo, either eating or watching Danny and Niki or just walking around the place, it would always end with the gang and Danny going to a cafe where they talked for a while before heading back and always finding Adam at home
This continued untile a time where they where in the dining hall eating together, Danny was with them. Occasionally a few of they're school mates would say hi or strike a conversation before leaving

yh I usually help out around the place a lot so everyone knows me
while they where eating they could hear people whispering and saw people looking at the entrance, when they turned around they saw Adam walking towards them and he wasn't alone

hey guys so I want you to meet my new friend Lita, she waved her hands
they weren't really surprised as he had told them he was hanging out with Lita, how exactly? they didn't know but they knew he was just watching her train like everyone else at least that's what they thought but Danny on the other hand was flabbergasted. Lita, one of the strongest among the citizens even as a high school girl and his senior was friends with Adam?

that's good to hear Nikita said giving a sigh of relief it ment the gab between them had gotten a bit wider, while training Danny she had also been putting in some work getting her stats up a little, even with these few days with out fighting she still tried to improve
