As Lily walked into their home, she looked visibly upset. Adam immediately noticed the expression on her face and asked her what was wrong.
"Adam, my family is upset with me. They are unhappy about my decision to marry you and have a child. They feel like I am throwing away my life, and they don't think you are the right partner for me," said Lily with a heavy heart.
Adam took a deep breath and held Lily's hand, trying to comfort her. "I know it's difficult for you, Lily. But we have to stay strong and believe in our love for each other. We can't let their opinion affect our happiness," he said, trying to reassure her.
Lily nodded, and tears rolled down her face. "I know, but I feel like I am disappointing them. They wanted me to have a career and settle down with someone from our social circle, but I chose you. They don't understand that you are a hardworking man with a kind heart."
Adam pulled her into a tight embrace, "Lily, you are not disappointing anyone. You made your own choice, and I am grateful that you chose me. We will make our own family, and we will support each other through thick and thin."
Lily looked up at Adam, and a small smile formed on her lips. "You are right, Adam. We have each other, and that is all that matters. I am glad to have you by my side."
Adam kissed her forehead and wiped her tears away. "Let's forget about their opinion and focus on our life together. We have so much to look forward to," he said, trying to lift her spirits.
Lily smiled and hugged him back, feeling better. "Thank you, Adam. I don't know what I would do without you," she whispered.
As they sat on the couch, Adam held Lily's hand, and they talked about their plans for the future. They spoke about expanding the farm, raising their child, and creating a happy life together.
Adam knew that they had to face many challenges in the future, but he was ready to face them with Lily by his side. He was determined to create a life filled with love, happiness, and success.
As they talked, Lily's family's disapproval seemed like a distant memory, and they both knew that their love was strong enough to conquer anything that life threw at them.
