My mind drifted away from the thousands of whispers for a fleeting second.
Under the dark veil of the night, a faint light shimmers through the window above.
I stand still, mesmerized by its distant beauty.
I'm sorry Sis,
I'm sorry Dad,
I'm sorry Mom,
In the end, I couldn't win.
What I'm about to do today,
It is unspeakable, it is gruesome, it is,
Evil,
Tears started to well up in my eyes,
But I-
I have no other choice,
The voices spoke louder and louder each day I tried to fight against them,
Why is this happening to me?
I only wanted to-
I then felt something moving toward me at a terrifying pace,
*CLANG*
But I was able to block with my sword,
Was that a bullet?
Then I turned my eyes to where It came from,
A figure of a man could be seen,
"Wh-who are you?"
It's impossible for another student to be here, without approval from the teachers they won't let you in, that's why I bribed my way through.
But before I could get a clearer look at the man,
He was suddenly in front of me,
His dagger was heading right to my throat,
*CLANG*
By the skin of my teeth, I was able to protect it by enveloping my entire body with aura.
Seeing my aura, the man instantly disappeared in front of me.
I was breathing heavily as he now stands a couple of meters away.
Who-
Who the hell is the guy?
I can barely feel his existence even though I've trained and sharpened my senses since I was a child.
I then pointed my sword toward him,
"Wh-why are you doing this to me?"
"I-I don't want to fight you,"
I really don't want to fight anyone,
The voices,
I just want them,
To disappear,
To leave me alone,
Even for a single day,
I want to hear my thoughts again,
As I look at the man, he soon aimed his gun at me,
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*
They were soundless, I wouldn't even know he fired his gun if it weren't for the flash.
I easily blocked all 3 of them,
As I gaze back at the man, he was gone?
I then felt a sudden force behind my back causing me to stagger forth,
It didn't break my form but it weakened my control over my aura.
My instinct was screaming at me to turn my body to the side,
I listened to it with all of my might,
A soundless bullet then passed through me, grazing my shoulder.
It would've hit my head if I was any slower.
Then not even a second has passed by,
I felt a sharp pain in my side,
My aura shook, it cracked, then it broke.
I was down on my knees, clutching my side as it bled.
I can feel the bullet inside my flesh.
I raise my head as I hear soft steps approaching me,
They utter almost no sounds, even my senses which I sharpened over the years could barely hear them.
As I got a clearer look at the man, he wore a metal mask.
It made me shiver slightly,
It was almost as if I was staring at death itself.
On his left was a gun, there was smoke coming off its barrel.
So this is how my life ends?
The voices now screamed within me,
"STAND UP,"
"KILL HIM,"
"GET UP,"
"SLAUGHTER HIM,"
But I barely cared anymore,
As I look at man,
I soon spoke,
"Wh-who are you?"
My voice was shaking contemplating my death, but there was nothing I can do anymore.
At least I'll finally be free.
"Why Wyatt?"
A deep and solemn voice soon came out behind the mask,
"Why were you planning to brutally r*pe Xayah?"
It seems, he knew what I was planning to do tonight,
I broke from his gaze and looked once again at the faint grace of the moon.
"You were her bodyguard huh?"
I should've known that a girl like her would have protectors by her side.
I can feel my demise looming over the horizon.
In the form of gun and steel.
Knowing my time ends here,
I think back to my life,
The voices that accompanied me, every day and every night.
Always whispering, always talking.
It's unfair,
I just want someone,
To know,
To have a glimpse at my sufferings.
I soon spoke,
"I'm not the only person in my soul,"
It won't justify what I did, but I don't care anymore.
As I gaze at the moon,
Its gentle gleam as it soars amidst the dark clouds.
My eyes were captivated and for a moment, all I could think of was how beautiful it was.
"I only wanted to live,"
My last words were now cast onto the wind,
I closed my eyes, accepting my demise.
Once I finally meet Death face to face, I'll greet him like an old friend.
.
.
.
.
.
.
A minute passed by, and all could I hear was the shuffling leaves.
The voices were screaming in my mind,
But my mind and body were too tired to fight,
Yet a deep voice soon broke the silence.
"Look at me,"
I soon opened my eyes back to the man.
He stood there firmly.
I could feel his eyes piercing through me behind the mask.
My eyes then widened.
Someone, something, soon came out of him.
It was behind him, over him, and through him.
Countless azure eyes shrouded in darkness.
As they stare, judging every fiber of my existence.
Not a single muscle in my body was able to move.
Wh-
What is that?
The voices in my head were screaming the loudest they had ever been,
"NOOOO,"
"STAND UP,!"
"FIGHT!,"
"RUN AWAY!"
This was the first time I heard them beg and plead with me.
But then a single voice then overpowered them all.
The voice full of authority soon spoke in my mind.
"Wyatt,"
I grabbed my head due to the sudden pain.
"WYATT!"
It was the first time I heard it scream.
"WYATT,"
Hold-
"WYATT,"
Hold it together,
Hold it together,
But my mind was starting to dull,
"Pl-please, kill me,"
"Th-they're taking over,"
"I-I can't hold them any longer,"
As I feel my consciousness fading, I pleaded to the man before me to end my life.
"WYATT,"
No, please
Just kill me now,
I can't hold them back anymore,
"WYATT,"
Ah,
"Unleash me,"
