Chapter 14 - Detention

Mr. Harrison is a man in his mid sixties, but has a sturdy build and broad shoulders. Whenever he passes, his piercing blue eyes scan his surroundings with practiced ease.

His pupils often wonder what tales his wrinkles and scars might tell.

Mr. Harrison's white hair is neatly cropped, including the thick beard that frames his weathered face etched with decades of experience.

Despite his stern demeanor, his students never hesitate to approach him. He had vast knowledge of the world and abundant of lessons to impart. With years of teaching under his belt and abundant patience, he knows the best way to deal with the curious and rambunctious young minds.

Mr. Harrison, dashed down the halls of Landon Brooke Citadel.

His supercharged speed propelled him like a blur of lightning.

Mr. Harrison's piercing blue eyes flickered with a hint of anger as he thundered towards the principal's office with Egon and Leo in his hands.

He lifted both like they were babies. Students were laughing left and right immediately they caught sight of them.

Mr Harrison dropped them in the waiting room and went into the Principals office.

They both were dropped on the floor like a piece of trash and Harrison walked into the principal's office.

"Shit! What the hell have you gotten me into? Who the hell was that man that came just now? Why didn't he take your stupid friends along" Egon threw numerous questions at Leo.

"You fucking got yourself into this, don't put the blame on me fucker." Leo countered and added

"We've gotten ourselves into a hell of shit, for Mr.Harrison to get us himself" Leo said with a grin.

They both continued in their thrilling arguments.

Inside the principal's office, Harrison talked to the principal.

"Principal Drogo! We have a situation here. Egon and Leo, two of our students, got into a brawl in the cafeteria," Harrison declared, with his voice booming.

Principal Drogo was startled by the sudden burst of energy and froze in his tracks, only to be met with the fierce expression of the senior teacher.

Drogo was a middle-aged man with sharp green eyes and a confident demeanor. He radiates warmth and compassion towards his students, but also commands respect with his firm but friendly voice.

Drogo looked up from his desk, a mix of shock and frustration on his face. "What happened? Did anyone get hurt?"

"No, it's just that a bunch of indisciplined kids were fighting in the Cafeteria. I stopped them before they could cause any major damage. But they were out of control, Principal Drogo. They need to be dealt with severely," Harrison replied, his voice laced with anger.

The Principal nodded slowly, considering his options. "What kind of punishment do you suggest?"

Mr. Harrison took a deep breath, composing himself. "Egon is a new student, and he hasn't adjusted to our training regimen yet. So, I propose we give them both a significant challenge to teach them discipline, teamwork, and respect for authority."

Principal Drogo raised his eyebrows, curious. "What kind of challenge?"

Mr. Harrison leaned forward, his eyes glinting with a kind of frenzied energy. "We'll send them on a weeklong survival mission in the wilderness. No technology, no powers. Just their wits and the tools we provide them."

Drogo gasped in shock, no longer hiding his doubt. "That sounds incredibly dangerous, Mr. Harrison. Are you sure that's wise?"

"I'm positive, Principal Drogo," Mr. Harrison replied, his voice unwavering. "This experience will teach them the kind of perseverance, mentally, and physically required to be sane. They'll learn to respect the rules of this academy.

The principal sighed, knowing that Harrison was right.

Drogo nodded, giving him the green light. "Alright, Mr. Harrison, proceed with your plan. We'll let the students know what they're in for."

As they parted ways, Mr. Harrison couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He knew that this punishment would not be easy for Egon and Leo, but he also knew it would test their limits.

Egon and Leo had been bickering for several minutes outside the room. The argument started because of their heavy differences. From an argument on why they got here they strayed to who was stronger.

"You really think you're stronger than me, Egon?" Leo said, with his voice laced with sarcasm.

"I never said that," Egon replied, trying to diffuse the situation. "I just think your silly abilities didn't help you in our last fight."

"Ha! You're fucking crazy. Egon your weaker than me," Leo retorted, a sly grin on his face.

Egon frowned, feeling frustrated. " Do I have repeat it twice dumb ass."

Leo shook his head, his expression turning dark. "Egon don't piss me off. Power is everything in this world and I have more of it than you ever will."

Egon felt his anger rise, but he tried to keep his cool to let all his plan go accordingly. "Blah. Blah, weak ass."

Leo stood up angrily and wanted to slap Egon.

"You don't even have any powers. I will show you true powers".

Egon glared at Leo, feeling a surge of happiness. " I've been training in martial arts for years. I can hold my own against anyone, even someone with your abilities."

Leo chuckled darkly. "Is that so? Well, let's put that to the test. Let's see how well your fancy karate moves hold up against my powers."

Egon sighed, trying to cover up his hidden motions. "Fine. I'll show you what I can do."

Leo's hands were high up ready to slap Egon when Mr. Harrison barged in and interrupted them to break the news of their punishment.

Before Leo could react, Mr. Harrison barged into the room, his eyes blazing with fury. He lifted both the young men, Egon and Leo as if they weighed nothing and marched towards the principal's office.

Leo tried to squirm out of Mr. Harrison's grip, but he couldn't break free. His anger boiled inside him, and he wondered what kind of punishment awaited them.

As they entered the principal's office, Mr. Harrison placed Egon and Leo down firmly on the ground.

Drogo, a middle-aged man with sharp green eyes, looked sternly at the two young men.

"Mr. Harrison has informed me of your recent altercation in the cafeteria," the principal began, his voice stern. "As a disciplinary measure, I have decided to send both of you on a weeklong survival mission in the wilderness."

Egon and Leo looked at each other in shock, not quite believing what they were hearing. "What kind of mission, Principal Drogo?" Egon asked, trying to hide his fear.

"A survival mission, without the help of technology or powers," Principal Drogo replied, his voice unyielding. "You will be given the bare essentials and must learn to rely on each other to survive. This will test your teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, and make you stronger for it."

Leo scowled, feeling a surge of anger. "This is ridiculous, Principal. Why should we have to suffer because of one little fight?" This was not what he hopped for.

Drogo sighed, his voice tinged with exasperation. "Because you need to learn to respect authority and work as a team, Leo. This academy isn't just about powers and abilities. You guys will learn from your actions" Principal Drogo finished his statement.

Egon never expected his first day to his new school to be one of the worst days of his life.

Egon and Leo left the principal's office, feeling uneasy about the punishment, they knew that this would be the biggest challenge of their lives.

Not only would they have to survive in the wilderness, but they would also have to work together, something that they had never been able to do before. It was a daunting task.

As Egon and Leo walked away from the principal's office, they both knew that they would be challenged like never before in the wilderness.

Egon and Leo had gone to school together since middle school, and Leo had always bullied Egon. Egon had always wanted to prove that he was stronger and smarter than Leo, but he had never been able to.

Egon wanted Leo to pay badly for everything but this was a different case for now

"Listen, Leo," Egon began, his voice laced with hesitation. "We need to put aside our differences and work together if we're going to make it through this."

Leo scoffed, his expression turning cold. "Why would I work with you, Egon? You've always been my punching bag. And now, you want me to help you?"

Egon frowned, feeling the old anger from their past disputes rising again. "I'm not asking for your help, I'm asking you to work with me. We can't do this alone, and we need to rely on each other if we're going to survive."

Leo shook his head, his eyes filled with mistrust. "I don't know, Egon. I still don't think I can trust you. You've always been weak, and I don't want you dragging me down."

Egon's fists clenched, feeling the old pain resurface. "I'm not weak, Leo. I've been training hard for years, and I know how to handle myself. I don't need you to hold my hand. But if we want to make it out of this alive, we have to work as a team."

Leo paused, considering Egon's words. He knew that he couldn't do this alone, but he also didn't want to rely on Egon, his old rival.

"Fine," Leo said finally, his expression cold. "We can work together. But don't expect me to be nice to you, Egon. We still have a lot of issues to work through."

Egon nodded, his expression determined. "That's fine with me. As long as we can get through this together."

As Egon and Leo parted ways, each filled with a mix of apprehension and determination, they knew that their past would be a challenge in addition to the wilderness. However, they both were committed to making it through this, no matter what.
