Chapter 17 - The Extended Fight II

"Now, I'll give you another chance to fight well. Don't show your opening next time. I won't guarantee a fair battle, but I'll get my revenge on you no matter what. I don't care how I do it, as I'm not the righteous type," Ray exclaimed and a hint of malice.

Egon immediately jabbed with his right hand, knocking Ray's hands away. He followed up with another punch, but Ray deftly avoided it.

"Hey, man, you don't seem to understand that I'm faster than before and unrestrained in every aspect. If you want to make this easier for yourself, just bow to me," Ray taunted.

"I would never do such a thing. I will never submit to you guys. Never, no matter how much you push me to the wall," Egon declared with fierce attitude. He attempted to land a kick on Ray, hoping to catch him off guard.

As they exchanged blows, Egon was caught off guard by Ray's speed. Ray was much faster than he had anticipated, and Egon struggled to keep up with his movements.

Egon noticed that Ray seemed to anticipate all of his moves before they even happened. It was as if Ray was reading his mind and predicting his every action. This made it difficult for Egon to land any successful hits on Ray, who continued to dodge and counter with ease.

He was taken aback by Ray's strength and agility. He never would have thought that the same person he had fought before could be this formidable. Despite his surprise, Egon kept on fighting and to find a way to gain the upper hand.

Ray made a taunting comment, "You know, back when we fought in school, you had much greater speed. What happened? Did it all drain out of your body? Now I see that what Leo talked about you earlier is perfectly true. You truly are a languid," he talked about  with a smirk.

Ray was determined to test Egon's abilities in every attribute he had displayed earlier. Having already grasped the extent of Egon's speed, Ray decided to test his reflexes. He threw a feinting punch to see how Egon would react.

To his disappointment, he found out that Egon was slow to react. Ray quickly took advantage of the opening and cornered Egon.

He then delivered a powerful spiral kick to the air, narrowly missing Egon as he dodged the blow with a timely bend.

Ray saw that his flexibility was poor too.

Ray attempted a smackdown kick towards Egon's legs, but Egon managed to lift his legs in time to avoid the full impact of the blow. However, the tip of Ray's toe still managed to make contact with Egon's leg, causing a minor injury.

Egon winced in pain but refused to back down. He knew that he had to keep fighting if he wanted to stand any chance of defeating Ray. With renewed determination, he launched a series of punches and kicks towards Ray.

"I can see that you've failed all my tests. Your agility is poor, flexibility is poor, reflexes are poor, and speed is poor," Ray taunted, stepping back and preparing for his final attack. He braced himself for his special ability attack, the beam of doom.

With a menacing grin, Ray unleashed the beam of doom towards Egon. The beam was a powerful blast of energy that could easily take down even the strongest opponents. Egon knew that he had to act fast if he wanted to survive. He gathered all of his strength and prepared to dodge the attack.

A surge of energy crackled at the tip of Ray's finger as he directed it towards Egon's abdomen. The beam of doom hit Egon with incredible force, sending him flying backwards and crashing into a nearby trash can. The impact was so strong that the trash can crumpled under Egon's weight, and he lay there motionless for a few moments.

Ray stood there, watching Egon's unmoving form with a sense of satisfaction. He had won the battle and proven himself to be the stronger opponent.

As Egon lay there, spitting out blood and struggling to stay conscious, Ray made a taunting comment. "Endurance. Sorry about not notifying you about the last strike. Too bad you failed that one too. But I'll give you half a mark for managing to stay conscious after the impact," he stated with a smirk.

Egon gritted his teeth in frustration, knowing that he had been outmatched by Ray. Despite his defeat, he refused to give up and vowed to come back stronger. He slowly got up, using the nearby trash can for support, and faced Ray with a determined look.

"Was that all you had?" Egon retorted with a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"I must say, you put up quite a fight against me," Ray acknowledged, a note of admiration in his tone. "Not many people can withstand the impact of my beam rays. A normal human like you is quite strong," he added. "If I were to conclude that you had even the slightest bit of paranormal abilities, I would have sincerely backed out of this fight."

"But I don't want this fight to last longer. I think it's time for me to end you," Ray talked about  with a hint of emotion in his voice.

Egon watched in horror as Ray materialized a ball of light, not expecting him to use his ultimate move to defeat him. The ball began to absorb the light energy from the atmosphere, and Egon realized that Ray's abilities were of the light element.

Leo saw that if he allowed the aftermath of Ray's beam to hit Egon, it would dematerialize him. But he was too late, and the ball shot towards Egon with incredible force.

Leo stopped the ball midair and vapourized it.

"I told you I didn't want him dead. If I did, I would have done it myself," Leo let out  with a sense of frustration in his voice.

"Fine, I guess my revenge is done. At least it was exciting to see him pay for what he did," Ray said, a note of satisfaction in his tone.

"Ben, I think it's time for you to exact your revenge. Make it snappy too," Leo spoke  with a hint of urgency in his voice.

"Don't think he's in a fightable state anymore. I've already taken care of him. There's no need for Ben to take action," Ray said confidently.

Drake saw what Ray did and was really angry, "Ray you went to far".

Egon, bleeding from his mouth, gradually stood up and spoke in a low tone, "Is that all you've got? You can't even take down a human like me. If I were a paranormal, what would you have done?" He held his abdomen as he stood up.

"I told you it was Ben's turn. I know this guy quite well. He doesn't give up easily. He's quite a brave one," Leo acknowledged Egon's fighting spirit.

Mega adviced, "Don't do what you intend to do, Egon. We can run away now."

Egon, as stubborn as ever, refused to back down from a fight, no matter how many times he had lost before.

"I'll come to you. Don't worry about coming to me," Egon directed his words towards Ben. With blood on his lips, he quickly ran along the side of the alleyway wall and threw his hands up to catch the iron on the wall of a nearby building.

Flipping twice in the air, he used the last of his momentum to strike Ben on the head.

Ben observed Egon's fanciful display of skills, but he knew that they were useless when it came to brute strength. When the kick was close by, Ben didn't panic. Instead, he used his left hand to grab the sole of Egon's foot mid-air, stopping it just two inches from his chin.

The strength required to hold a human body's weight with a single hand was unimaginable.

The battle is not yet over...…
