Third-person perspective

(About two weeks ago)

The bell rings, signalling that the Marketing Club is about to make an important statement.

"Good morning, last year's BT collage students. We are pleased to inform you that winter break will begin in two weeks." Do you have any plans with your family? with your significant other? "Can you smell Christmas in the air?" Min-young said into the microphone, keeping her heavenly grin. Her calm nature begins to shine through in her speech.

The president of the Marketing Club, Park Han-byul, was listening to Min-young's voice through headphones. She motioned for her to continue from beyond the clear glass that separated them.

"If you still can't get into the Christmas spirit, here's a song that might help." Han-byul used this signal to begin playing the music that could be heard over the intercom. Ariana Grande's 'Santa Tell Me' was playing. The marketing club was playing a Christmas song in preparation for the forthcoming Christmas Eve.

Han-byul and Min-young both removed their headphones. Han-byul turned off the 'On Air' button and let the song play. The younger of the two strolled out of her station, which is separated from the rest of the room by a clear glass, with an elated smile.

"You really enjoy doing this with me, don't you?" Han-byul laughed and wrapped her arm across the shoulders of her favourite club member, her best friend, and... her baby sister. Since childhood, they have always had one another's back. They were inseparable from each other. After all, both sisters adore each other.

Min-young rolls her eyes and shakes her head, a naughty smirk on her face. "Who told you that I enjoy being in your company?" She smirked at her older sister, who responded with a death stare.

"Yah! "How could you say such a thing to your Noona?" Min-young began strolling out of their club room, remembering to wear her hood over her head, and not even looking at Han-byul. Byul trailed after her sister, her whining unabated.

A group of girls yelling drew their attention as Min-young was walking with the unpleasant Han-byul alongside her. They are encircling one specific boy, who is flashing his famous bunny smile and scratching the back of his neck in discomfort at the girls' comments on him.

Min-young's face brightened as her heartbeat quickened.

Where is he? He's got to be somewhere here!

If the boy with the bunny smile is present, the person she is looking for is also present. And Min-young was so certain that her eyes surveyed her surroundings carefully, hoping not to miss the person she was referring to. And she was correct!

He's right there!

Her eyes turned into hearts, and her smile spread so far that it almost reached her ears. Han-byul sighed as she realised the shift.

"Oh, Park Min-young, don't start drooling over him right now. That is simply repulsive." Min stared at her and slapped the latter's arm.

"Ow!" Min-young ignored the older and began staring at the male with brown hair and a milky white complexion, who was sparkling in her eyes. She's only a few steps away from him, yet her heart aches for his gummy smile and laughter, which she can't even hear.

"Min Seo-jun oppa, that's so funny!" Min-young is looking for someone with that name...

Min Seo-jun . Min-young has had a crush on him since the first time she had a casual discussion with him, and her feelings for him have grown stronger with each passing day. It had been much too long for them to recall the first time they spoke in the same room. Min-young had been crushing for a long time—one year to be exact—and she is still doing it. "That annoying whipping look." Byul jolted her out of her trance.

"What?"

"I'm not sure if you're stupid or a sadist for inflicting so much pain on yourself, but... It's been too long, Min!" Can't you muster the courage to tell him how you feel right now? You've been crushing on him for years! Park Min-young, one stinking year!"

Min just rolled her eyes and sighed deeply. She realises she is not the stupid one in this situation. Is it really that bad not to confess to someone you know will reject you?

Min-young's attraction to Min Seo-jun is something she both enjoys and despises. The brown hair is difficult to read while also being attractive. She'd never heard of Seo-jun being in a relationship, but Min isn't going to chance it; she's satisfied with admiring him from afar.

"No, I'm not going to do that; I don't stand a chance."

'Who wants someone like me? A book nerd who usually wears a big black hoodie because she's worried people will condemn her ugly face or whatever''. Min pondered.

"Duh, how would you know if you didn't try?" Byul clicked her tongue in frustration, but she knew she couldn't do anything about it. She's tried everything to get Min to confess, but she's never succeeded.

Somehow, Byul knows deep down that keeping Min's feelings hidden will just prolong the process.

However, she wished... She wished that Min Seo-jun had even a passing interest in her Min-young. Because seeing Min after years of thinking about Seo-jun frustrates her. She understands that if Min is rejected, she will be hurt and heartbroken.

Min is a work of art for her, and if that happens, Byul is certain Min will lose all of her colours.
