A large claw went across her body, tearing her through before the beast rammed its snout into her, throwing her into the tree. In a daze, Quill narrowly dodged as the wolf thrashed a second time, leaving a deep gash onto the bark.
Before she could take out her bow to fight, the wolf slashed at her once more, scratching deep into her arm and tossing her bow aside. The wolf continued approaching her, slowly getting closer and closer as she kept crawling backwards.
Behind it, the rest of the wolfpack started approaching behind it. Quill slowly got out of her daze, slowly focusing on what was in front of her, only to be left in horror as more eyes were on her, seeing her as nothing but food.
"Piss, she's gonna get turned into gruel down there." Colton couldn't stand to look, wanting to not see a teammate of his get slaughtered in such a violent way.
'I can't take this.' Filled with a desire to help, he jumped from the branch and began climbing down as fast as he could.
