Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Entirica's Fate

Serina, was still performing her ritual, her hands trembled furiously as she tried to save her dear son when she noticed that he was turning to dust!. She started as she hugged her son's body tightly just to stop his body from turning to dust as she spoke sweet nothings into his ears but she realized that holding unto him tightly wasn't stopping his body from turning into dust she couldn't believe her efforts were still in vain. She clutched him to her chest shedding bitter tears.

Knowing that her actions weren't helping the situation, she didn't dwell on that for long as she tried to hold onto his remaining body and use her other hand to grab the dust as it was disintegrating right before her. Serina couldn't believe what she was seeing at all- her only child was disappearing from her eyes, he was the only thing that kept her going and she was the primary cause of his death!. She didn't expect that he would die right before her eyes.

'Is this karma getting back at her for all the sins she committed?'

'Is this her punishment for causing the death of Sharon's children and killing the Great seer?, is that why all these are happening to her all these of a sudden?' she asked herself.

Serina continuously tried to grab the ash remains of her son's body to try and resurrect him but immediately she opens her hands after catching them-her hands were left empty with no single trace of the ash she held.

She still chose not to give up and continued gathering the ashes flying away but it was still getting away from her hands, the mere thought of not being able to do something to save her son was driving her crazy, it was making her lose her senses as she was getting the expected results of her actions every single time. She still tried holding the remainder of his body that had not been turned to ash tightly as she chanted a spell to try to freeze it but it was still turning to ash.

Serina tried and tried and tried until his whole body dissipated. Serina only realized that when she didn't feel any warmth again- She was just hugging herself, her son was gone! and he was not coming back. She wailed uncontrollably as she lifted her head up to the skies and felt drops of water pour on her face and before she knew it, the rain started pouring like as if crying along with her.

'Even the heavens could feel her sorrows' she thought as she smiled in self-pity.

Her tears dropped down uncontrollably immediately she began sobbing. She tried holding onto the soil on the ground where her son laid, she packed them in her hands and brought them close to her heart while shedding bitter tears as the rain washed the tears away as soon as she shed them. She felt like the heavens were crying with her for her son's demise, Darin was gone forever. She felt hollow and dead!, her only will to live was taken from her by Aaron, her very own cousin.

Serina chose to believe that Aaron knew her son was coming and decided to hit him so as to make her bear the pain of losing him and live in guilt for the rest of her pathetic life- she felt disgusted at the thought of that. Using someone's weakness against them isn't something a fighter does, it's what a coward does that and she knew that she was a coward, she's always been a coward when it comes to women and love but she didn't expect , her own cousin to use her own move against her.

As much as she promised her son that she wouldn't cause any chaos again, she would still have to do something to make every single one in Entirica realm suffer and bear the brunt of what he did to her. Her crying slowly stilled, she stood up as hatred for Aaron clouded her thinking. Black miasma started gathering round her. The rainy clouds started soaking the miasma little by little and the sky turned deep black as Serina's already invisible wings became visible again.

Meanwhile, Aaron just finished sending the sword back to the place where it belongs, before it causes more havoc to his people's land. He didn't know Serina had a son until he heard the boy call Serina his mother. He couldn't believe his eyes, 'How could a fellow mother kill an expecting mother's children in cold blood!?'.

He knew that she was a psychopath, a mad woman who wishes unhappiness for anyone she sees full of happiness but he didn't expect her to be this desperate in war matters.

Aaron looked towards her and saw Serina's face, she looked empty and tired her face was deathly pale as her tears were now black, she looked more haggard than she did a while ago, Aaron noticed the strange look on her face, he wondered what she could be thinking about in that psychotic mind of hers-he widened his eyes in horror when he noticed it, he realized that Serina was about to perform another crazy stunt just by seeing the appearance of her wings.

"I won't let you touch anyone or anything on this land again Serina, I expected that you'd give up this when you saw your son die in your hands just because of your misdeeds but I was very wrong, nothing in this world could stop a psychopath" Aaron said with disgust.

Serina just looked at him as she laughed mockingly at him "You and what army is going to stop me this time....cousin?" She mocked as she looked around seemingly trying to find the army that'd stop her from proceeding with her plans.

"I am more than enough to stop you Serina, even if it takes my life.I won't let you proceed with your cowardly plans".

"Then am sorry Aaron to burst your bubble but you are yet to see the peak of my cowardliness but you will now." Serina said as she took off from the ground as her wings created a small gust of wind from the force she used to take off, she went up and was very close to the sky.

And she formed another sword again and sliced herself in the arm and let the blood drip and fall unto the battleground, her blood seemed to have a life of its own as it spread quickly across the battleground and went continuously to all parts of the realm.

Aaron who already saw the blood felt that something was going to happen and he had no idea on how to stop it until he heard her voice.

"I curse all you Entiricans whose feet have been placed on this realm that everyone of you, you and your generations to come will live like termites and be blind like termites too, you will always live this way until my son Darin returns fully, this is your punishment for killing my son and giving me so much pain".

"Nooo.... Stop, I'm the one who killed him, don't place the curse on them, they had nothing to do with it" Aaron desperately pleaded on behalf of his people but Serina didn't pay attention to him so he attempted to use his magic to counteract the spell but the blood just sucked in the magic and began to spread faster as if the magic had boosted it.

"It's been done Aaron and it can't be taken back again, I guess this is the Entiricans fate." She said as she flew into the clouds with no sign of her ever been there. The clouds became clearer as Aaron stood there alone thinking of the fate of his realm. The blood on the ground was sucked in by the soil and there and then, Entirica's fate was sealed.
