Chapter 6 - New Hope

"Immortal?!!" Ash exclaimed. "Having that title will grant all your subjects the ability to evolve faster." He mentioned as his eyes glowed excitedly. "Just how meticulous is your plan."

*Immortal: A Title that grants the ability to stop an individual's aging and cause them to live forever. All who are sired or connected to the individual will also be granted the Title 'Subject of an Immortal'. This gives the subject of the individual the ability to evolve faster.*

"That is all for the Demon Lords. Once they kill me, they will leave, believing that they have completed their task. But that will trigger the beginning of something else. As for that part of my plan, we will have to wait for a later time."

"Hmph!" Klaus grunted. "You not only planned how you will evolve, bit you also planned how we will gain from your evolution. I must say… I am glad you are a monster."

"Hmmhm" His comment made me scoff. I will take that as a complement. "We still need to finish the first part of the plan." I continued. "For phase one, I need all clans to head out and begin working on securing the borders. The borders of Minora are already secure, since they are a nation known and accepted by the rest of the world."

"So for phase two. King Klaus, I need you to set a meeting with the Chiefs of the Arctic Dwarves. I heard you are good friends. I will need you to help us act as a mediator to the Dwarves. We will create an alliance with the Dwarves as all other nations have done. Our nation and the continent's greatest engineers, smiths and architects will be allies."

"I can arrange that as early as three to four days from now." King Klaus said.

"Thank you King Klaus." I continued. "We will offer the Dwarves a voice in our government and a place in our nation. We will give them whatever they ask for as long as it is in our reach. I will need Ash and King Klaus to help me handle the negotiations. What do you all think?"

Roger looked around the room as if collecting their assent through their looks and said. "We agree."

"Alright. We should end our meeting here today. We do need to begin phase one. In three days, phase two should also be completed. So we will all meet back here in four days to begin planning phase three."

"Ash. King Klaus. I will need you guys to help me in drafting negotiations for the Dwarves. That way everything can be ready."

"Alright Jordan." Ash nodded.

"That's all for today."

The meeting ended and discussions started. A meeting they knew was important became a meeting they never could have predicted. And now their society, which was thousands of years old, would have to be dissolved for them to survive.

Lisa was discussing with Liam, but then, she sighted Ash. As their eyes met she could feel a tightness in her chest. They walked slowly towards each other.

"Hi." Lisa said to Ash wearing a smile.

Lisa and Ash always had a complicated relationship ever since they were in the Tower. Ash's Family were the right hand to the Wolf Royal Family. Ash was known to be brilliant and hardworking.

The Royal Monster families all grew up together. Jordan, Ash, Lisa, Liam, Aisha, Lia, Mikey, Dawn and other kids of the same age group all grew up together. Lisa and Ash fell in love with each other.

When Ash found out Lisa was leaving for the surface to take over as the leader of her clan, he decided it was be best to push her away, knowing the Monster clans lived separately on the surface. Even if he went to the surface, they could not be together. He chose to push her away so she would forget him and move on.

Lisa on the other hand knew they couldn't be together on the surface but at least hoped to spend every moment they could together. She wanted them to wait for each other as long as they could. But Ash took that choice away from them.

"Hi." Ash replied. "It has been a while. We haven't seem each other since you left the Tower. How are you?"

"I am alright. But I did wait for you,... you know."

"Wait? What do you mean?"

"The day I left the Tower, I stood by the exit waiting for you. But you never came. You didn't even come to say good bye."

"Oh. I—uhm. I felt that it would be better if we didn't see each other. I didn't want you to leave with a heavy heart. I hoped you would just forget me after you left."

"Forget you? I missed you every day." Lisa stared at Ash with anger in her eyes. "How could you decide that for me. I wanted to see you. I wanted to tell you that I would wait. But I guess you had already given up on us."

"I didn't know. I just. I wanted you to be happy. I am sorry." I didn't think about her. I didn't think about how she felt. I am so selfish. Ash thought as he hung his head.

Lisa smiled . She held his face up to hers and said. "Jordan has given us a chance. The unification of the Monster race. That is our chance. We don't have to live in a world where every clan chooses solitude. We have a chance to reshape our world into a united one."

"We have a chance to build a world. Together." Ash added. Then his face brightened up. Jordan might have planned this not just so his dream would come through. He knew how much I loved Lisa. He might have done this for us, for everyone. No matter how much he claims to be selfish, everything he does always end up benefiting others. My best friend. My brother. "I will do everything thing I can for this plan to succeed. For our race and for you."

"I will too."

Ash and Lisa had been too focused on each other to notice that the whole room was watching them.

"You guys should get a room." Dawn said with her face as red as a beet.

"Watching you guys flirt really isn't good for my mental health." I said hoping to see Ash flustered.

"Young love is always nice to watch." Roger said.

"Its not like you are that old yourself." Lucy countered.

Everyone in the room burst into laughter.

Monsters are a race with long life. They could live up to five hundred years without evolving. So Monsters younger than a hundred years are all still considered to be very young.

I looked around the room and saw Monsters of different clans talking together and laughing together. This is it. I thought. The beginning of everything. All our races can learn to coexist not just with ourselves but with other races. I will make my plan a success. I will protect everyone.

The meeting ended with Ash and Lisa's little drama. Everyone scattered into groups after that.

Aisha took the women to a separate wing in the manor to get them settled for the day. "These are your rooms." She said pointing down a hallway with five doors lined up."

"Hmm, this one's too small." Dawn complained as she opened the first room. "Aah. This one's better." She said as she opened the second. The second room apparently had more space.

"You really shouldn't be complaining, Lady Dawn. And I think all the rooms are actually the same size." Iris said after inspecting both rooms.

"They are, it's just the arrangement of the room that differs causing it to look bigger." Aisha commented.

"I know. I just wanted one that's bigger so we can have enough space for everyone." Dawn said.

"Everyone? Why?" Aisha asked.

"So we can have a girls night, like we used to." Dawn said.

"Oh. If that was what you needed then there's a bigger room we can use. We just need to move some beds there and we can all have our girl's night there." Aisha said trying to help.

"Alright then. We'll have a girls night."

They hadn't spent time together like they used to. But Jordan had brought a plan that would change that. It was still going to take some time before the plan was completed and they could all live together. But there was hope.
