Chapter 29 - Ethereal Life, Chapter 29: Viridescent Vitality Breathing Exercise, The Lore

The Viridescent Vitality Breathing Exercise is divided into inhaling and exhaling sections.

Using lines and dots as the symbols for long breath and short breath. A circle to hold.

"This will add a touch of mystery to the history of this stele." Aside from all the thoughts he has right now,

Nai also likes to say, "Leave things that will become lore in the future! "containing stories behind their existence and meaning for others to describe history."

"Behold! This is the stele of the very first ruler in history of the vast grassland!" Just thinking about the future and what it might entail makes him really want to make all kinds of landmarks everywhere.

"Everyone wants to leave their name in history! It's not just for fame! The reason was not be forgotten!"

"Time is cruel; time is like water. It washes everything into oblivion."

"However, great people are afraid of death! That's why they had some hope in their hearts!"

"As long as they still exist in books for everyone to remember because of their contribution to mankind, They believe they won't die."

"Their bodies would rot, but not their souls. They believe in reincarnation, and they will find their way to return with their memories intact."

"Ah, what great nonsense I believe. This is what my mind, my heart, and my soul are telling me to believe."

"Faith, ah, faith! Another path to greatness I'm afraid such a path is destined not to be mine to touch." He thought of that great being on earth.

He shook his head and marveled at his own creation.

"Despite all this strength and ability I had, I still retain my reason to talk things out." Nai, turn around.

"If it were those protagonists, face-slapping and fighting directly would have already happened."

Walking around aimlessly, he passed by the flower garden he had grown and squatted down to appreciate his things.

"Society's constraints—is this going to birth my own heart demon? Inner demon?" Nai doesn't know. And he didn't want to know.

"Let it be, let it be. I'll just go with the flow. I've always been like that." He faintly smiled; his deep, well-like eyes seemed to tell him that it didn't matter anymore.

Why would he care? This time, in this life His life is much more important. All the happiness the world can offer;

"I, Nai, will gladly accept it." He let himself almost fall to the ground before kicking it up.

With a swoosh from air resistance. He ran all the way until he stepped on walls until the watchtower like he were on ground.

And with a flip in midair, floating for only a few seconds. Nai felt like he was free in the air. "I'm FREE!"

"Hahahahahaha." Only his laughter rang between the sky and earth.

Soon, gravity took hold of him once more. Feeling the grab on him by the great land, Nai landed with the grace of a gentleman atop the watch tower.

He was currently wearing his tattered anti-heat lower suit, the pants, and a cape as his shirt.

Looking at his clothes, he said, "I need to change this village fashion too. Why are they even wearing coats in this sunny place?"

He really wants to ask if they're from the same country.

Now that he thought of it, how were they wearing nothing below them? Although the coat was long enough to cover them whole, a piece of wool bound their waist like a belt.

But man, as expected of a primitive society?

"Hmm, in the end. After thinking about it much longer. We are in the wild, so dressing like that might suit them in their environment."

"After all, this place is wild. Anything can happen at any time."

"Alright, I won't do that anymore. I'll focus first on my construction." With a jump, he landed rather heavily on the ground. with accelerated momentum to run forward.

He did a front flip five times in a row before doing a somersault midair before landing in a cool pose.

Feeling the strength of his body. Nai felt very grateful in his heart. Whoever it is, be it fate or not, I sincerely thank you for sending me into this world.

"Enough with playing; it's time for daily work." Just like the usual days he had. Morning for transport and afternoon for piling bricks on work.

It was a sunny day; no rainy clouds were found far on the horizon. "Everyday is fulfilling. I don't have to worry about anything except for Browny's betrayal someday."

"What if it suddenly went crazy and ate me while I was not observing?" He suddenly shuddered at that, though. If that really happened, then he would be gone.

"The caravan should be coming by now or tomorrow." As he was talking to himself about the caravan soon to be coming, he suddenly noticed something unusual around him.

He decided to stop pulling the cart for a while as he observed. "For some reason, the wind seems much colder today."

A bad feeling suddenly and slowly gripped his heart. The cold prickling feeling of the breeze as though ice needles were threading on his skin and the grasses below him dancing as though inviting him.

Goosebumps rose up in his heart and throat. His mouth felt dry, and he was even trembling subconsciously.

No way, right?

Nai didn't let out a sound as he turned around and looked at the sun setting on the horizon.

He should hurry and close the door early today. He had a feeling today might be the very first bad day he would have since coming to this world.

Along the way, fear started growing in his heart as he felt the grassland slowly darken. He pulled the cart much stronger on adrenaline.

Not even noticing his sweat turning cold. unease by the time he returned to his territory. He didn't have time to unload the stones and gravel at all.

The rising fear in his heart made him not give an ounce of thought to thinking other things than returning home, and he closed the door.

What's going on?

Why is my heart palpitating for some reason?

Is the wind always this cold? I think I'm going to freeze!

Throwing caution to the wind, he stood on top of the wall and observed around.

I hope it's not some kind of ghost or mysterious entity.

Five seconds later, there's no more time to waste. After taking a look at where Browny was staying, He immediately ran with all his might into his shelter.

He didn't need to find anything to take back inside, as all the things he needed were already inside the shelter.

Bang!

The door closed with a bang. The door was immediately locked with wood and all kinds of tricks. A few seconds later, he sat on the side, sweating hard and tired.

This is the first time he has felt this way since coming to this world.

What's really going on?

While he was sitting dazedly inside his shelter.

The grassland has fully been abandoned by the light of the sun. Strangely, the grassland was so quiet, like never before.

It was as though a blade of grass falling and hitting the ground might even produce sounds enough to startle the most nervous wild hare looking at the entrance of its burrow.

The night came as though hurried, and darkness spread like a creepy veil to the whole grassland.

Silence.

Utter silence.

Every living creature in the grassland is trembling instinctively from their blood.

Those who lived in the burrow were huddled together with their kin. Those who remained on the surface were playing dead amidst the grasses that were much longer.

Hiding between grasses, using them as blankets or hides. Every living creature seems to have grown smart just for this moment.

The instinct to survive.

An eerie wind blows. The goats trembled in fear. There seem to be voices soft and low, high pitch, as though crying and wailing beside them.

Some moles even came out of their hiding places because of the whisperings, as though they were being invited into an unknown world.

Nai forcefully calmed his racing heart and pumping blood. All his senses seem to be on constant high alert and tension without him doing it.

Lying on the floor, he glanced down at his door, feeling creeped out. He didn't want to move, afraid that he would attract something he didn't want to see.

While he was immersed in his surroundings. His eyes suddenly noticed the color of the moonlight passing the glass rooftop.

It was red.

Fear gripped Nai's beating heart. His breathing suddenly turned heavy. His body and limbs won't listen to his mind.

His eyes widened with great fear in his paralyzed state. He heard the sound of heavy footsteps outside.

Step.

Step.

Step.

"!!!" It's not one, but many of them.
