Chapter 15 - Ethereal Life, Chapter 15 Acceptance and Accepter

After taking care of the livestock. He put all the goods he had exchanged, like pots, jars, wooden tables, chairs, plates, ceramics, ropes, etc., inside his shelter.

Now he didn't have to worry about the lack of wood for the time being. As there were even logs and firewood along with the goods. "I can now craft a spear or axe with these materials."

After arranging all of them neatly inside, he walked out of the shelter and arranged for the carts to be used as temporary blockades, like doors on the only entrance around his walls.

When he was done, he decided to rest. It was already nearing noon. The sun was high. The breeze didn't disappoint him at all, as it freshened him up in comfort and focus.

Now he finally had the time to review what he had just uncovered.

Now that he has thought about it, those companions of Garut seem shocked after hearing that he can see the future. That just meant that he had kept it a secret, only known to a small number of people he trusted.

However, they were quick to accept it. The values of this world and my previous one are too different. Even their language isn't one that I know or have heard of. But strangely enough, we can understand each other despite our differences in language.

How mysterious. Nai was suddenly overcome by overwhelming adrenaline. This was his first time exchanging words with another human in this world. And it led him to know that he wasn't alone anymore.

Still, to think that his Moon's Blessing wasn't a cheat like those transmigrated male characters just has to disappoint him a bit.

Apparently, it was the norm in Garut's village for one or two people every thirty years or so to have one such necklace suddenly appear without them knowing it. The shape and design of a necklace vary according to the individual's subconscious preferences.

Garut called this phenomenon as Acceptance. The term comes from receiving the nurturing of the sun. Also the reason why the old man was strong like an ox.

When he heard of it, Nai immediately realized that he had a different source. His moon's blessing comes from the nurturing of the moon, while Garut's blessing comes from the sun.

When he asked about the moon, the old man Garut said he hadn't seen one who was nurtured by the moon. So Nai changed the subject after finding nothing more useful for that. He asked him about how he got his ability.

When they reached this point, the old man Garut only told him one word—time.

The meaning is clear; when the time comes, it will just appear on you. It might be a different ability, as Garut has no one to ask about it either. The issue of being the only one with an ability.

Nai sighed at the wonder of this world. "Should I call myself Accepter after this? Garut seemed to like the name Accepter when I suggested it for him after hearing his explanation."

That's it; from now on, he will be called Accepter Nai. Accepter is their title. A title only those who undergo Acceptance can hold.

Accepter.

Acceptance.

This is getting more and more interesting. He can't wait to see the world much more.

Agah Village is the only village Garut knows of and also where he lived his whole life. Its not like no one tried to search for the others but most of them return home failed. While the others did not even returned.

No one knows if they're still alive or not.

Nai closed his eyes slightly, but who knows? It made him momentarily forget about his surroundings for a while, and subsequently, he fell asleep.

...

"Viridescent Nai, interesting." Garut's eyes flash with an unknown light. No one knows what he was thinking at this moment.

At the side, the leader was walking instead of riding the water buffalo like the old man. He looked as though he had something to say but was having a hard time finding an opportunity to say it.

Garut took a glance at him as he sneered inwardly. He knows what was on the man's mind. "If you want to gain mystical ability like mine, then keep dreaming."

If he can let others gain a mystical ability like his, then the village chief and those greedy elders would already have one.

The leader's face was crestfallen. He also understands that. "Can it be obtained by luck?"

Garut naturally knows that a human heart will always find ways to acquire what it desires. "Acceptance... it's a phenomenon where you will be put into three trials. Once you pass those three trials, you will gain a power like mine. You will become an accepter."

The leader's dim eyes suddenly lit up with renewed hope. "How can I find that trial? How do I pass it?"

Idiot, I was just talking nonsense with you. If I really do know how to acquire this power, I would have nurtured my own faction and controlled the village's expansion. Garut sneered in his heart.

But he still answered without expression, "By luck." Then he turned silent. Even talking seemed too tiring, so he rested. Not bothering to answer the in-name leader of this group anymore.

And it came to pass the false information Garut had said to the leader of the group to the whole group.

The whole group was shocked and surprised. Eager to find that trial and acquire that power! Even if they can't see the future, just the tremendous body strength the old man displayed back then was already desired by many men.

After all, who doesn't like strength? As for an illusory ability, they can't see it. Bah! Can they eat that?

Looking at the lively scene above, Garut was silent. His mind was elsewhere. He remembered the term he and Nai had come up with for their kind of situation.

"Since I already passed the acceptance of the so-called trial, I can be called Accepter Garut from now on, who wields the ability to see the future." He immediately stood up on top of the mount like a steady pole. Even if he called it nonsense, it wasn't that bad.

The others suddenly noticed his movements and were wondering what the old man was going to do. "From now on, I shall be called Accepter Garut. Accepter as my title and Garut as my name."

...

Nai didn't know that the start of supernatural classes in the world had started to spread among the people he had exchanged with.

He wouldn't know that in the future, it would also spread to Accepter Garut's village. That the hypothesis and nonsense Accepter Garut has said would become the theory for the future to be derived upon.

And all of this will start in that very Agah village.

....

Afternoon.

Nai woke up thinking about how quick he was to give his opinion back then. "I shouldn't have said that. It makes me look absurd to come up with terms like accepter."

He shook his head, feeling somewhat shameful at the thought of that. In just an hour or so. His mind was clear of any distraction. He only hoped that Garut wouldn't have a bad impression of him because of that.

"I feel like a fool. Garut might already know more secrets than I do about this supernatural system. Maybe he just wanted to find out my knowledge in that area and use it to his advantage sometime." There are many kinds of schemes and controversy that can be imagined when playing with a fool like him.

Nai really wanted to slap his mouth back then. "I thought I was vigilant enough, but...just like on earth. I haven't changed at all. I'm the same foolish old man as I was."

While staring at the ceiling. "I should just turn mute. I won't talk in long sentences anymore. It's better this way, to prevent selling myself up one day."

He had just taken a good nap, and his mind was smelling the fragrance of freedom, but all of it vanished in front of his weighty imaginations.

Nai was calm as always; it's just that his heart felt heavy for some reasons. "I wonder if they would point their spear at me next time they came here? I even told them about my house. I'm really an idiot."

The pond's water is a miracle water that can heal and cure anything. It would be strange if they didn't take it by force when they saw he was alone while taking ownership of it.

"Ahhhhhh! Damn it! Foolish me! I'm an idiot." Sadly, no matter how he shouted out his frustrations, it could only make him feel temporarily relieved. "I must not let them pass my walls."

Knowing that, he tried to change the topic for himself. "Right, the acceptance phenomenon. How did I get that?"

Nai rolled around on the bed, trying to remember what happened back then. "Hmmm...is it when I'm working? Garut said that it would just happen without any particular reason. But how could that be? There should be some logic to it."

Nai suddenly took hold of his forehead as he seemed to realize something: "Does it have to do with that forgotten dream I had back then?".

That's possible!
