Chapter 4 - my foe

As my power and influence grew, so did my enemies. There were those who feared me and saw me as a threat to their own agendas, and they would stop at nothing to bring me down.

One such enemy was a man named Kang Min. He was a powerful figure in the political scene, with connections to some of the most influential people in the country. He saw me as a threat to his own ambitions, and he made it his mission to destroy me.

At first, I tried to reason with him. I offered him a place in my alliance, but he refused. He said that he would never bow down to someone like me, and that he would do everything in his power to bring me down.

I knew that I couldn't let him succeed, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started to gather information on him, using every resource at my disposal. And what I found was shocking.

Kang Min had a dark secret, one that could ruin him if it ever got out. And so, I used that information to my advantage. I blackmailed him, forcing him to work for me instead of against me.

The secret that Kang Min had was that he had been embezzling funds from the government for years. He had been skimming off the top of various projects and funneling the money into his own pockets. If this information had gotten out, it would have been a huge scandal and would have destroyed his career.

The discovery of Kang Min's embezzlement was a stroke of luck for me. One of my informants had stumbled upon the evidence while investigating another matter, and I immediately saw the potential for using it to my advantage.

At first, I wasn't sure how I could use this information to get Kang Min to work for me. But then, I came up with a plan. I approached him and showed him the evidence, and told him that I would keep it a secret as long as he agreed to work for me. At first, he refused, but I was persistent. I knew that he had a lot to lose if this information got out, and eventually, he relented.

I used Kang Min to gain access to sensitive government information, and I also had him do my bidding in the political arena. He was useful to me, but he was always seething with anger and resentment. I knew that he was looking for a way out, but I wasn't going to let him go.

At first, Kang Min resisted. He hated being under my thumb, and he would constantly try to find ways to break free. But I was always one step ahead of him, always ready with a countermove.

And then, one day, Kang Min made a fatal mistake. He underestimated me, thinking that he could outsmart me. But he was wrong. I had been waiting for him to make his move, and when he did, I struck.

I exposed his secret, ruining his reputation and his political career. And then, just to make sure that he would never come after me again, I had him assassinated.

It was a risky move, but it paid off. With Kang Min out of the picture, my power and influence grew even stronger. And yet, even as I basked in my success, I couldn't help but wonder how many more enemies I would make, and how far I would have to go to protect myself.

In the end, I was the one who got the last laugh.
