Nathan snapped his eyes open.
He was panting and seemed caught up in a kind of panic. He could hear his resounding heartbeat as he struggled to catch his breath. Looking round to convince himself that it was nothing but a nightmare. One that had seemed to terrify the light out of him.
Slowly, he let out a shaky breath and leaned his head back on his bed post. He couldn't understand why a dream about a strange encounter with some person could take his breath away that much.
As he closed his eyes and worked on steading his breath, he thought back to the shadow in his dream. The person's figure was now a little unknown to him now but the aura - the aura was still so distinct it felt like he was right there in the room.
